History

Established in 1922.

Founded in 1922 in the quaint town of Crockett, Pedrotti Hardware relocated to Benicia on a special day, Valentines Day 1992. Run by third generation family member, Gene, and a very talented staff, including Store Manager, Josh Gibbons, Pedrotti Hardware works hard to provide accurate and informed customer service. A talented and dedicated staff insures that you receive competent and thorough advice for any project or topic you choose. We want you to be satisfied, every time you visit Ace. We’re proud to have received the coveted President’s Cup from Ace Hardware Corporation, and the title as the Best Ace Hardware in the United States! Meet the Business Owner

GENE P.

Business Owner

Raised in the Bay Area hamlet of Crockett, Gene worked alongside his father Larry and Uncle Al, in the family’s hardware store. Like the sitcom Cheers, everyone in Crockett knows each other’s name and in such an intimate environment, serving customers was akin to serving family.

Through the Depression, two World Wars, and other tough times, Pedrotti Hardware was best at helping residents repair & retain the high quality tools and appliances they possessed: vacuum belts, faucet washers, lock rekeying, even windows; ammunition was sold during the hunting season, fishing lures when the stipped bass ran the Carquinez Straits.

It was in Crockett that Gene grew to love and cherise the sacred setting of a small town and the unique and personal attachment between its townfolk. An Eagle Scout, a graduate of John Swett High School and U.C. Berkeley, Gene returned to the family business in 1980. In 1997, Pedrotti Hardware was awarded the Presidents Cup as the best Ace in the USA!
