Went here because I had a groupon. Got there and the Kitchen was closing was asked to order before we even got our table so we were extremely rushed. Our Waitress was really friendly telling us to slow down and to enjoy our food. Band was finishing up. Food was decent was told they have great drink specials. Would come back to see a band and have a drink. Food is okay nothing amazing

Awesome homemade tasting food and exceptional staff. I can’t remember my waitress’ name, but she was so sweet and accommodating, I would come back just to have her serve me. She made us feel so welcome, like we were regulars. I had the crab cake special which were very tasty, and mashed potatoes that were super creamy. My kiddo had a burger and fries. I didn’t try the burger but I could tell it was made well just by looking at it. Hubster had the shepherd’s pie which looked amazing and tasted great as well. We really want to come back to try their burgers which are a mix of 3 different meats, yes please. It was pretty quiet when we came in for dinner, few tables taken and some patrons sitting at the bar. Looks like a great local spot for a beer and some comfort food. Will definitely be back again.

Took my Mom and Dad here for Mother’s Day brunch and it was outstanding. The food was terrific… salads, breakfast fare (eggs, french toast), salmon, and terrific desserts (the blueberry pie was out of this world).
As the place was crowded, things were a little crazy, but the staff was friendly and attentive (as always) as was the vibe. Also enjoyed catching some hurling on one of the big screens.
Never had anything less than a great meal here…

10 minutes before someone decided to notice me sitting at the bar. Then took a while to actually get a drink. Not that it was busy. 2 bartenders and only 6 other customers

I stand corrected. The potatoes were grainy though. Actually, they were the first thing we didn’t care for.

My boyfriend and I came here to eat dinner for St. Patrick’s Day. As soon as we entered the pub, the energy of the room hit us right in the face! The place was packed with people who were either seated or along the bar. The host, who took our name, was at the far end of the restaurant. We waited about 30 minutes to get seated, which was expected since it was St. Patrick’s Day. While we were waiting, we were entertained with Irish dancing and live music! This place is really big and it would be the perfect place for accommodating a large party/​family. They also seemed to have more seats downstairs!
The food here is amazing as well as their service! Our waitress started us off with the best Irish soda-​bread I have ever tasted. It was soft, chewy, and sweet because of the raisins, and it melted in your mouth. We even asked our waitress for a second round, which she kindly brought to us. I ordered the Corned beef and Cabbage, while my boyfriend ordered the Bangers and Mash. My plate had a big portion of corned beef along with a perfectly seasoned cabbage and potato. The Bangers and Mash had Irish sausages covered in gravy with mashed potatoes, which were delicious! My boyfriend was stuffed after all the mashed potatoes and I definitely had the most satisfying meal.
Our waitress was kind and attentive. She approached us a couple of times asking if we needed anything and if our meal was okay. The extra soda-​bread that she brought to us was an extra PLUS in my book!
I will definitely be coming here again to try their Sheppard’s Pie and Chicken Pot Pie. I left this pub with a great exposure to culture and a satisfied stomach. You can see me as a loyal customer from here on out!

Love their food (chicken noodle soup, French onion, any steak item, the nachos are huge, burgers, Shepard’s pie) and service is great. I always have a good time when I go to Tommy foxs, weather is eating dinner or getting drinks with my friends.

Okay, I’d really rate our event a 4.5 out of 5, but the way we were accommodated tipped the scale in favor of 5 instead of 4 stars!
Katie is wonderful! We planned for weeks, then months, when our BIG EVENT was cancelled due to The Blizzard on 1÷23÷16! We had 60 – 70 people coming for a buffet dinner after an outdoor all-​day scout event (The Klondike Derby). We had to wait for the new date and Tommy accommodated us — as did the Birthday Party tonight (thank you, all, for that)!!
The headcount was higher — and Katie was the one to notice that we actually had eighty people, not the seventy who RSVP’d! So, the kitchen and servers were quite busy with food and drinks for hours! The half-​point deduction would be for the wait time before food was ready, since the crowd arrived cold, tired and hungry. The spread was great, the food was quite good and our Pack was happy! The prices are quite fair for what you get — we had enough to satisfy vegetarians and meat-​lovers alike! The buffet ran out, but we can’t fault Tommy Fox’s for that because we had ten extra and hungry attendees!
Our Pack won’t be this large again, but I wouldn’t hesitate to book more family-​friendly events here in the future. Planning was pleasant, staff was accommodating, and the food was good! I wish I had the chance to eat more, but I was busy helping to wrangle 40 kids. For our group, it was a bonus that some «Sled Dads» could stay later in the bar, after the kids and most others had left. I heard that Brendan was a great bartender, too!!!

Came here for dinner with my girlfriend and our daughter who is 9 months old. It was Friday around 530 pm. Happy hour is 4 – 7 pm and every Friday they give free food with the happy hour. I love free food! They had pasta in tomato sauce and capers and chicken wings. They where both delicious. I only had a small plate so I didn’t ruin my appetite for dinner. They where very accommodating to our daughter and brought her a childseat. I ordered the Tommy fox burger and my girl ordered the salmon special. My burger was great. Juicy and big. Nice slab on bacon on there and mushrooms. My girls salmon was good but a little over cooked. I will always come back here. If I wasn’t with a baby I could’ve easily just ate the free food and drank. I left happy.

The restaurant is nice with all the dark wood. Service is excellent. They really need to go back to the drawing board on the wings. Make them fresh and crispy with a batter. The wings were rubbery and undercooked. I was really disappointed by them and so was the group I was with. It was the only thing I ordered and was thinking about getting an entrée but decided not to since the wings didn’t make a good impression on me.

We stopped by tonight for a bite to eat and we were very pleasantly surprised to learn that they had a turkey dinner special. It was under nine dollars and it was delicious. They were frying the turkeys outside when we arrived. The meat was cooked perfectly and they also had great stuffing and mashed potatoes. Tommy himself was slicing the turkey and he couldn’t have been nicer or more accommodating. This place is always good but this was fabulous. I highly recommend trying it out if you haven’t already.

One of my favorite local stops. Food is always good. Usually go with the Irish breakfast or Shepard’s Pie. Some of the friendliest bartenders and waitress’. Besides going for dinner or family celebrations, also a good scene at night when they live bands.

First time I ate here though and I really loved it! It was late at night after a movie and we walked down from the theature. The kitchen was still open so we sat at the bar and watched the baseball game and got some food.
I had the Chicken Pot Pie. It was HUMONGOUS and super rich. 5 or 6 spoonfulls filled me right up. We got the bruschetta for an appetizer and they were also huge and super filling.

Amazing local bar, cool setting, really nice bartenders and fun all the time!
Every Tuesday from 9pm starts $ 5, 5 beers!!! Tel me why after living in Bergenfield I just find out about this last Tuesday! I come in often but this time was brought from a groupon, and I see a LOT of people with a RIDICOLOUS amount of beer on their tables.

True local gem!

We have been here twice in the past year. The first time, it was really good. So good, that we brought out-​of-​town friends here for dinner one night. The 2^nd visit was not as good as the first. The mashed potatoes were still awesome, the service consistently pleasant, and great entertainment, but the meat was overcooked and the appetizers weren’t hot. I will revisit, maybe it was just an ‘off’ night… the mashed potatoes alone are worth it ;-)
2 months later… we revisited and were not disappointed. Great place with awesome entertainment!

Nice neighborhood place with good music (playing rock) and good service. Used a Groupon ($ 15 for $ 30 worth) so I had 2 vodka martinis and The Pub Burger, a half pounder with cheddar cheese, Irish bacon, mushrooms and the chef’s sauce. Really good solid burger. Would definitely stop in again.

Great service, nice atmosphere. I had the Bangers & Mash, and it had great flavor along with a good sized portion.
I liked it so well, that I went back the next day for the Sully Burger, and boy what a burger that was. Topped with 2 healthy slices of corned beef just set it over the top.

Came here for lunch and it was surprisingly delicious — definitely going to make this a regular visit. Started off with a cup of chicken noodle soup (definitely not cup o noodle) and then had the mushroom mozzarella salad. Two large, well seasoned grilled mushrooms, fresh mozzarella and homemade vinaigrette — hit the spot. The side of fries were crispy — just how I like them. Can’t wait to come here when I can enjoy a glass of wine with my meal! Hurry up third trimester tommy fox’s awaits!

I came here for some late night drinks with friends on a Saturday night. Didn’t realize that they have live bands, which was super loud so you were screaming while trying to talk. My boyfriend lost his voice. The band was pretty good however.
The prices seem decent. The bar can get a little tight because there’s a wall in the middle of the whole restaurant.
I got some french fries, which were pretty good and definitely homemade.
The staff seems pretty friendly and trying to do their best.
Bathrooms were bright and spacious but as the night went on, definitely needed more cleaning.
Would come back but maybe on a quieter night.

Perfect irish pub… our waitress even had an irish accent! Went on a fri night during happy hour, wasnt too crowded but about 80% full. The patrons were the typical irish pub crowd. They had a good amount of tv’s so this place is good for watching a game. The music was a little too loud and it was hard to carry a conversation with the noise. But the food, drinks and service was excellent!
