11:00am appointment I got there a little early (10:50). 11:01 and I’m out. Friendly and painless. A little more $ than I’ve seen at others but no hassle. One time I got a smog check and the guy backed my car into a post and jacked it up!

Been here three times, and had friendly and fast service every time. They have a lovely lightly shaded outdoor sitting area to wait (in addition to the one inside). Remember to mention discounts.

I never thought I would be leaving a review for a smog test station, but this place definitely warrants one! Super fast, friendly service. Waiting room includes free snacks and drinks! There is Wi-​Fi and even a computer to use if needed. I almost wish it took longer than seven minutes!

My second time here and for good reason! I had to have my car smogged last year and remembered how pleasant the experience was, so alas, I’ve returned. Amazing service! Pulled back through the gate and was immediately greeted by Antoine with a huge smile and friendly attitude. Processed a bit of paperwork before getting started. Only one car ahead of me and the total wait time was only about 15 minutes — for longer waits, they have a clean and cozy waiting room w/​wifi, snacks and beverages. Finished the final paperwork, quick payment and was on my way. These guys do not disappoint! I also got $ 20 off as a returning customer. I’m expecting DMV to require another smog next year and I’ll definitely be back.

The smog check is alright, yes they have drinks and crap in the waiting room. How very Berkeley of them.
I received a smog check from this business on December Fourth, the year of our Lord MMXV. After passing the smog check, on the way home from the shop, in the nine whole miles from there to my place of residence, my poor old truck’s cooling fan exploded, damaging numerous adjacent components including the radiator. I have very good reason to believe that a tool or other foreign object was left in my engine bay, and fell into the fan, causing it to shatter, because things like this do not happen for no reason. I attempted to collect compensation for the parts I would need to repair my truck (around $ 400) but was told I would have to talk to the owner, and that he would call me. I was never contacted by the owner until after the fourth call, three weeks later. He was incredibly condescending in the way he tried to explain the smog process (incorrectly) and after going back and forth with gathering tension, he told me that because I had signed a piece of paper to receive a smog check, that they were not liable for any damages that either were or were not a direct result of their actions as a company. Any auto shop worth their weight in shit would have stood behind their work and corrected a simple mistake, but no. Not this shop. Here I am writing a negative review on Unilocal like some kind of twerp because the owners of this company cannot own up to an employee’s mistake. Welcome to the 21^st Century. I would suggest a boycott at this point, but I know most people won’t read this, or won’t care because it’s the cheapest place to get a smog check in the East Bay. Just bear in mind that the cheapest is almost never the best.

These guys are great! I made an appointment, walked in and then out in less than 20 minutes. The tech was friendly, speedy, explained their process and gave me $ 20 off as a repeat customer. They transmit the results of the smog test directly to the DMV, so easy! Highly recommend them for your next smog check.

In my opinion this is the best smog test place between Oakland and Berkeley. Professional service, well-​maintained, plenty of parking, and both outdoor and indoor waiting areas with coffee, soda, and snacks.
It’s not cheap, though, so be sure to mention Unilocal for $ 20 off. It worked for me.

Technicians got me in and out in 20 minutes on a Saturday morning. Great customer service. While it may be more expensive than other test sites, you can’t beat convenience or interacting with great people.

I just brought my old car in for the mandatory 2 year smog check.
1^st time experience on a Friday: I failed and though the team there was friendly the customer service was a bit disappointing. I felt a bit rushed and that’s certainly not the kind of feeling you want when you fail and need detailed explanations.
2^nd time experience on a Sunday: the weekend team rocks, and I’m not saying this because I passed this time. Just a question of vibe! They’re fast and full of humor. I would have given it a 5 if I had that same experience the first time.
On top of that, they have free wifi, coffee and tea. Thanks 7 Days a Week Smog Test.

Got here bright and early and I pulled into the back lot. They are so quick the guy was already at my car as I was getting out. (I actually kinda screamed because I was surprised… And let’s face, I’m just jumpy)
Signed in and he said it would be 20 – 30 minutes.
They have a little indoor waiting room with coffee, tea, soda and cookies. It also has free wifi, and a desktop computer in the room for customers to use. (Cool.!)
They also have a little outdoor waiting area patio that is super nice if you want to sit out in the sun with an umbrella.
