Specialties
My practice offers:
*Non-surgical, minimally invasive, definitive treatment of periodontal disease. I utilize a periodontal endoscope. The small endoscope is placed between the gum and tooth, and the tartar/calculus on the root surfaces are removed as I view them under magnification on a monitor. In most cases surgery can be avoided even in severe cases.
*Dental implant placement, sinus lifting, bone grafting.
*Cosmetic procedures – smile enhancement procedures (gummy smiles); tissue grafting to cover up long teeth with exposed roots. In some cases I offer grafting with a tissue matrix so no palatal surgery is required.
*Second opinions and a variety of other procedures.
During your initial visit we will discuss your medical history, review x-rays and perform a clinical exam. Based on that, we will prepare a treatment plan that is specifically tailored to you. We will work closely with your referring dentist to ensure that the best possible results are achieved.
History
Established in 2009.
I grew up in Berkeley, attended UC Berkeley, and I am a specialist in Periodontics and Implant dentistry. After being away for almost a decade in dental training, I knew that eventually I would come back and open a small and personalized practice. I built my practice suite in a converted North Berkeley Craftsman home, where I have two treatment rooms. My philosophy is predictable treatment, good diagnostic skills and a no gimmick attitude. I pride myself on my conservative and innovative approach, and enduring workmanship. I believe that this type of practice affords patients with a good long term value, allows me to stress quality care and allows me to thoroughly enjoy what I do.
