History

Established in 2015.

Echo Von Padgett officially started in February 2015, but the origins of it’s start date back to 2005. While working at Geoff Howell in New York City, Colin started making furniture and helping friends, family and extended with their home improvement needs. From headboards and beds, to built in home office desks and bookshelves, to even basement remodels post Hurricane Irene, Colin helped his friends to achieve custom storage and aesthetic solutions through good design strategy and implementation. Today, Colin has honed his woodworking skills to be able to tackle almost any project thrown his way. The aggregation of these skills led to him opening his own business, Echo Von Padgett, to help people in the Bay Area acheive their vision.

Business Owner

Colin came to the East Bay after spending the last ten years living and working in New York City. While working with Geoff Howell Studio in New York, he constructed and installed many store window and showroom displays for the biggest fashion design firms in the world (such as Hugo Boss, Victoria Secret, Armani, Tiffany, Saks 5^th Avenue, and others). During his time in NYC, Colin honed his design and fabrication skills and began producing custom furniture and cabinetry pieces. Upon moving to Oakland, he chose to step away from the transitory nature of the fashion display industry and concentrate his energies full time on producing functional pieces that will last for generations. After working with some terrific woodworkers in San Francisco, he decided to strike out on his own to create «Echo Von Padgett», a custom woodworking company.
