History

Established in 2012.

Ian Moore founded this design-​build practice following 15 years experience working in the Bay Area on large scale public landscape and urban design projects. He has a deep understanding of local architecture, garden traditions and a proven ability to manage complex projects involving multiple technical disciplines.

Ian Moore specializes in outdoor structures and creative use of small spaces. We take great pride in craftsmanship and rich detailing. We work collaboratively with architects, landscape architects, general construction design-​build firms, as well as other landscape construction firms. We also partner with a wide range of craftsman in order to offer the best blend of skills and capabilities for any project.

Our business is best suited to the design-​build process because we can seamlessly transition between design and implementation, with a hands-​on knowledge of construction.

Business Owner

Ian Moore is a graduate of the Masters Program in Landscape Architecture at UC Berkeley. He has applied this education to a wide variety of projects in the San Francisco Bay Area ranging from small scale residential gardens to public parklets to the San Francisco Bay Trail and urban streetscape projects. Through all these project types Ian strives to create precisely detailed, enduring and beautiful projects that make people at home and inspired. When not creating, Ian can be found exploring California’s fantastic urban, rural and wilderness landscapes with his wife and two daughters.
