I’ve been professionally walking dogs for 2 years and I am both insured and bonded through Pet Sitters Association LLC

I started out working for an extremely reputable dog walking service in San Francisco but I recently decided to move my services across the bay. Now Im very excited to bring plenty of exercise and socialization to all the lucky pups of Berkeley, Emeryville and Oakland.

I bumped into Jess and her morning group at one of the Berkeley trails that I took my dog to over summer break. Even from our brief run-​ins on the trails, it was obvious how well she works with the dogs in her group and how great the dogs respond to her, so much so that she was the first person I thought of when we had to start thinking about hiring a dogwalker once I started teaching again. My boyfriend and I were so happy we found her and our Zoe loves her! Highly recommended! :)

Jessie is as good as it gets. She is patient with my dog, communicative, and incredibly kind. Jessie was VERY understanding when I asked to speak with her references when I first started working with her as I was nervous about giving my house key to, well, a stranger. She has been nothing but professional and fantastic.
Above all, my dog is now incredibly well behaved after Jessie has spent time working with her on excessive/​social barking and delightfully tired after her group walks. She has truly set the bar HIGH for every dog walker — your pup is missing out if you’re not in Jessie’s group!

Jess walks my little beagle Lotte during the week and is wonderful! Lotte is always sooo happy to see her and comes home totally worn out. Lotte has stayed with Jess over the weekend a few times and it’s so great to have someone we fully trust with our naughty little trouble-​maker. Jess is always super friendly and sweet and has been really flexible with us– she’s taken our big hound dog out a few times when he couldn’t come to work with me and even helped my husband out once when he forgot his keys! She’s really a gem and we are so glad we found her.

Jessie was our dog walker with Born to Run for over a year. She is such a find! 100 percent reliable, professional, and so, so great with our dog Henry. He’s a rescue, very shy with new people and certainly required some special attention, and within an extremely short time he was more excited to see Jessie than anyone else. He always came home happy and tired, and has gradually come out of his shell due in no small part to her time with him. We’ll miss her greatly, but honestly we can’t recommend her highly enough. Our loss is the East Bay’s gain. Snap her up while you can!

Jessie walked my pathologically particular and antisocial dog, Sasha, when she was with Born to Run SF. Even with my dog’s «special» (eh-​hem, cough, cough) personality, I knew I could trust Jessie completely. Sasha always came home looking like she had a fantastic basty-​blast of a time. She absolutely adored Jessie and to this day still looks and waits for her truck. When I see Jessie with the dogs, you can just tell that she has a real genuine love and connection with them furry guys. I’m sad to see her go but excited that she’s gonna bring loads of joy to new doggies in the east bay. I have no doubt that Snout n About is gonna be amazing!

Jessie walked dogs w/​us @ Born To Run SF for the past two years. She has a strong work ethic, is totally reliable, considerate and professional. Jess is a completely trustworthy walker who is clearly motivated by her love for the dogs in her care. When she announced her plans to start her business closer to home in the east bay, our clients used terms like «heartbroken» and «devastated» to see her go. She’s that good.
