this is a great little store on Solano Avenue, selling mostly bath and skin care products(hence its name, Soap Sistahs), but I did pick up some nice earrings here – the best part; they were having a 50% off jewelry sale!

This is a cute little store that revolves around bath & bath related products. I had been searching for the cutest bag I had seen someone carrying around the airport. It was a big Red Tango bag which has the silhouette of a cat on it. So cute. On the Red Tango web site, it lists all the places that carry their products including jewelry, watches and purses. Many of the stores I had been to only had the watches. Yes I could find it on the Internet but I didn’t want to wait for it and I figured it was a good way to spend the weekends and get to know Berkeley and San Francisco. So I walked into Soap Sistans not expecting anything and there it was, a big, Red Tango orange bag. I walked out of the store with my new bag and a smile.

Best soap store ever! I admit it, I’m a soapoholic I have purchased soaps from all over the world and yet the quality of the soap they sell at this store is the best! Maybe its a woman thing this addiction to great smelling items that make you squeaky clean? This place always has the most fragrant, wonderful soaps! They do this peppermint soap that smells so good you could eat it! And they also have this cinnamon clove soap, which is spicy bliss! Their soaps are natural, lather well and improve any bathing experience. They also have some great seasonal items too! They are colorful and improve any bathtub or bathroom. They basically have long soap logs and you buy it buy the slice. They offer lots of other bath products as well. I love to treat myself with there products! They also do many different varieties of soap(which is part of their charm) so be sure to ask them what their latest and greatest is! Fantastic soap! Good Clean fun!

What is it about hippies that makes them think that soap making is the pinnacle of entrepreneurship? It is so ironic, given that they don’t even use soap. I tried their soap when I went to school in berkeley. It really wasn’t bad, but what soap, save irish spring, is really bad anyway?
