Thunder Express Cab

I have called on Thunder Express after my Über driver canceled on me and left me stranded at the West Oakland Bart station and again after waiting FOREVER for Yellow Cab of Oakland. In each case, I called Thunder Express and was whisked to my location in a Lincoln Town Car for the same price I would have paid for a taxi. In the future, I am calling Thunder Express first.

Great Customer service. my driver was on time. And also waited for about 10 mins for me to get off work I called at about 1:00am to downtown Oakland and he. arrived in About 10 mins that was 20.00 $ I didn’t mind spending I’ll be using their service again

on time, deliver what was promised, reasonable rate, comfortable and safe ride.
That’s all you ask for when looking for cab service. Thunder Express do the job right! I have used them couple times and every experience is positive.

Ok so I’ll get right to it. If you want fast no hassle friendly reliable service don’t ever go anywhere else. They never miss an appointment and I can always count on them. This is the only company I’ll ever use. If you want what your paying for this should be the one and only service you use !

Extremely friendly, they called me about 10 minutes before my scheduled pick up to let me know he’d be there in 5. He got me to the airport right before time!!!

It was around 7pm when my mother called and said that she had arrived from L.A. and needed someone to pick her up from the airport. Unfortunately my car was in the auto shop and I had no cab number available I needed to think fast. I called one of my friends to ask if he could pick her up but he was out of town on a business meeting but he gave me a number of a cab company thunder express. I called and asked for a cab, Moe answered he took my address and said I’ll be there in 10 minutes and believe it or not he was at my door in exactly 9 minutes. We arrived at the airport and Moe helped my mother with her bags and greeted her as if he was her son. He was very kind, friendly and truly a gentleman (opening doors etc.).Honestly it was the first and best cab ride I ever had. I give this cab company and especially Moe 5 stars. It was the best cab ride ever and I told all my friends about my wonderful experience. i give this cab company two thumbs up

Right on time. Polite friendly. Came to get me for a 4:45am pick up to go to SFO without a problem.

They didn’t show up at the reserved time, and I had to scramble to get a cab, and almost missed my flight!
I decided to use this service because of the positive reviews on Unilocal.I called five days prior to my early-​morning flight. I got a voice mail and left a message, and within moments I got a call back from a very polite and professional man. So far so good.
I gave him my flight information, and initially he said, «Call to reserve the day before the flight.» There was a pause as I began to formulate the words to say, um, no, sorry I want a service which will take a reservation now. I knew the day before my flight was going to be crazy busy, and I needed to take finding a limo off my plate in advance. He seemed to read my mind and jumped into the pause and said don’t worry, you can reserve now. He took my flight info, my address, and my phone number. I should have realized it was a red flag that he didn’t take my cc#.
Well, my flight day rolled around and it was 7:45 a.m. and no limo had arrived at my address I called his phone number and kept getting voice mail. After a few tries, I left a message, and got no return phone call back within a half hour. It was now a serious emergency, and I had to call a cab company and beg for someone to come ASAP. I ended up giving a $ 20 tip to the guy who saved me.
It’s possible this service is fine if you operate as he prefers, by calling the day before. However, I would highly recommend anyone who wants a reservation in advance go to another service.
The reason for the one-​star rating is that he wasn’t honest with me. If he’s not able to take reservations in advance by more than a day, he should hold firm to that rather than promising something he can’t deliver.

I was in Berkeley visiting a friend, called these guys, they were there in 5 minutes. Nice clean car, driver was cool. Definitely will use them again when I’m town!

Mo was just as great as the other reviewers stated. I called the day before and left a message; he returned my call within 3 minutes and gave me a quote and agreed that a pickup time of 5:30 am would work for my flight. Sure enough, when I opened the door the next morning at 5:25 am, he was waiting down at the curb.
I called my son in Oakland after I got back to OKC and told him to use Mo for all his airport trips — and to recommend him to his friends and co-​workers also.
I was glad to support someone working so hard to build his business. Thanks for the trip, Mo!

Called the night before to reserve for 0530 the next morning to go from Oakland to SFO.
At 0525 the next morning I open my door and there he is. No honking… just patiently waiting for 0530 and me to come out.
Excellent service, professional and dependable.
I’ll be using Thunder Cab again. A good cab ride can be hard to come by in Oakland!

Mo is no longer my cab driver anymore, but I see him as a friend. I use his service twice a week for business and his positive energy rubs off on all of his clients. He is a very humble worker who will be there to pick you up. If he isn’t available, he will send one of his workers. I have to experience a time when he has been late; he is always in fact 10 minutes early. These days, it is hard to find a trustworthy and reputable cab driver. Mo is very honest and hardworking. I will stay with him for as long as I need cab service. I have definitely become a repeat customer because of his kind demeanor. He has a great sense of humor and can keep the ride interesting. For you car service people out there, he just upgraded his towncar into a nice and comfy late model.
