Weave It Braid It Lock It

I answered the $ 100 craigslist special, and booked an appointment w Charlotte to get my hair done. It’s the same deal as the other reviews. We set an appointment over email and then I called her to confirm it the day before. I showed up for my appointment, and the place was closed & nobody was around!. I call her up, and she’s out eating lunch, she said we cancelled my appointment (ummm. NO we Didn’t). She shows up 45 minutes later with a plastic hair cap on (??)
The whole thing was just so weird. She said it would take about 2 hours, it took 5!.. didn’t do what I asked for AT ALL. I left feeling very disappointed, but thought I’d go home and play around with it, and maybe it’d be ok. but it wasn’t.
I called Charlotte and told her my hair sucks, it’s not what I want, can you fix it?. So I booked another appointment for the next day, which she confirmed the night before via text. …
I walk in for my 2^nd appointment (the NEXT day) .(I’m the girl that walked into the salon in Valeries review!!!) .and she says «Bianca? I thought we rescheduled?». «No! I’m Jessica and you texted me last night to be here for THIS time» … She was working on someone elses hair (Valerie) but called her «assistant» (daughter) to come in to help her. … She re-​did my hair at no extra cost but then said a tip would still be nice. Anyway. 7 HOURS LATER my hair STILL sucked! …. Sorry, but this lady is NOT good w weaves. It’s not even worth the $ 100. …I’d rather pay 4x that and get the look that’s exactly what I want in a reasonable amount of time.

Meh ladies look elsewhere, I thought I was getting a good deal by looking on craigslist and finding a $ 100.00 special going on here. Welp… I got what I paid for. I showed up to my appointment about 15 early, then at 11am no one had shown up! So 20 minutes later I call an she tells me I was scheduled at 3pm (yeah ok sure we spoke 2x on the phone prior to my appointment) She shows up 30 minutes later starts my hair and in walks another girl needing to get her new weave fixed already. So Charlotte panics, stops my head and calls her assistant who’s 15 minutes away. She double books appointments and has no idea who you are when you show up. We talked about a closure, which she never put in so my natural hair is sticking out the top NOT at all blending at all with my cheap weave hair that she recommended (Bobbi Boss Yaki) And if your natural forget about love and care, she used a small rat tail comb to comb through my hair it actually made me cringe alittle. Let’s see no heat protection when using hot tools on hair and she did a lazy mans cut on my bob, was hoping it would be a razor cut with layer’s. NOPE. I guess I got what I paid for, no I won’t be back. Got there at 11am and left at 5pm REALLY THOUGH. The shop was pretty though and clean.

I had high expectations for this braiding salon given the reviews. I made an appointment with Charlotte by phone after also seeing an ad of hers on craigslist. I needed an appointment for that weekend for a trip i was taking the following week and she was busy during the day but agreed to a late appointment the next day, Saturday at 8pm for kinky twists. I specifically said i didnt want to pressure her into a late appointment but she said it was fine. At 6:54pm on the day of the appointment, she informed me by email that she had to cancel my appointment due to a «finger injury». Unfortunately for me I had already driven 45+ minutes to the East Bay from RWC to make sure I was on time for my appointment and bought $ 50 worth of non-​refundable hair. If i hadnt checked my email on my iphone as I sat down to dinner, i would have shown up to her salon to a canceled appointment. I have no other opportunity to get my hair done before my trip. Boooo! I half believed that getting my hair done in a salon would reduce my exposure to unprofessional behavior but apparently not when it comes to braiding. I realize that this appointment was made at the last minute but it was still an appointment and the finger injury story was hard to believe and possibly completely made up… in any event a professional would have canceled the appointment by phone since it was only an hour before.
