Willy’s Tree Service

I went for the cheapest bid and apparently you get what you pay for. I paid over $ 1000 for Willy and his guys to trim some trees encroaching upon my property. At first their mulching machine was not working and they asked me for jumper cables, I didn’t have any. After two hours they started packing things up, they left a bunch of dry, dead branches in plain sight; it was like pulling teeth to have them go back and cut these branches down. FYI Willy will not do a final walk around with you. Originally Willy said he had a lift, but he definitely would have brought it to this job if he had one. In the end I flat out said I’m spending a lot of money and it looks ugly. They said there was poison oak on the property, which is what I disclosed to him when he came for an estimate. After they left I noticed a lot of big branches scattered around the property, like they just didn’t feel like picking up these branches. These guys are not professionals and I am not a happy customer.

Willy has been doing my garden for years and I love the job they do! He jeeps my front And back yard nice And clean! I highly recommend his services!

Willy and his crew were just excellent. Very prompt, very personal and very professional. His crew was trimming some gigantic oak trees at my neighbor’s yard in Kensington/​Berkeley so I asked him to take a look at my 2 huge overgrown redwood trees. Talk about big trees, these are huge, probably 70 feet, maybe more. I have quite a big yard so he gave me recommendations on the other 6 trees. He gave me a great quote on the spot (lower than a quote I got from another tree service), came with his crew of 4 and a big shredder truck the next morning right on time, and was done by mid afternoon. They cleaned up my yard and street spotless. What I liked about Willy was that he has a lot of experience (he’s been providing tree service for 14 years), so he knows what to cut and what not to cut. He thinned out all the trees expertly so that now I have a lot more light in my yard, the trees look natural and still keep enough branches for privacy with neighbors and the street. He did some extra work that he didn’t charge for, you can see he takes pride in what he does. He told me he does landscape work too, so I’ll definitely call him again. If you need an expert tree service, Willy’s the man!
