The quality here is up and down. While they generally do a good job with the cleaning, they also frequently burn shirt collars, lose buttons, and belts. In the past ten times that I brought an average of five items, they burned two dress shirts, lost buttons on two others, and lost the belt on a blouse.
I’m now off to find a place where these problems don’t happen or at least not as frequently.

I have been here 3 times for alterations. Twice they did a decent job. Once they did a crappy job. The most recent was yesterday. I left my jeans to be hemmed on Monday and asked if they could be ready by Thurs because I needed them on Friday. I get there Friday shortly before closing and she is not finished and wants me to come back Saturday morning. What? She eventually finished them but I waited nearly an hour. Lesson learned.

This is a fantastic shop! They are very competent, not only with dry cleaning but with alterations as well. They are quick and provide excellent customer service. Sure it’s a little pricey, but you get what you pay for. .. and you can’t beat the free delivery! Highly recommended!

My wife brought in a pair of slacks with a broken side zipper for repair. We visited several cleaners/​tailors in this area and settled on Bak’s because they had the best price and were very friendly and communicative, too. We weren’t disappointed. The job was fast and done well for a price about 25% less than other shops we checked.

I’m extremely picky when it comes to my clothes/​shoes/​bags, and I’ve been searching for a great dry cleaner for quite some time. I’ve had a few things cleaned (and one thing altered) at Parkway in Chevy Chase, and while I’ve always been happy with the results, my wallet hasn’t been! I was once quoted $ 80 to dry clean a coat. This was when I started laughing uncontrollably and walked out the front door. The coat didn’t even cost that much!
But I digress. I was referred to Bak’s by a friend, and I trust her referrals, so I decided to have that aforementioned coat dry cleaned. The woman working at the front counter of the store was very nice, and I was quoted $ 15 for having the coat cleaned. I decided to take a chance and let them clean it, and I am definitely happy with the results. The coat was ready that same week, and when I picked it up, everything was as it should be. I also appreciate that they cover the buttons in foil before dry cleaning to prevent any damage. Just little professional touches like that really make a difference.
So yay! I’m a fan. And it’s a REALLY convenient location, walking distance from the Metro, from my work, and plenty of parking garages within walking distance.
