The level of unprofessional behavior and flat out money grabbing going on here is off the charts. I called for a new patient appointment and had to wait about 3 weeks to get in. No problem there, that is pretty common with dentists, especially for the longer new patient appointments. A few days before my appointment I got the usual reminder call, followed by an email. As I got these reminders I was away on business, and never responded — I’ve had lots and lots of appointments at dentist offices in 4 states and my nonresponse to a reminder call has never been an issue. «Dr. Kate» apparently has a huge issue with this, as I got a nasty email from the office on the day of my appointment threatening to not only cancel my appointment BUT ALSO CHARGE ME A NO SHOW FEE for not responding to their confirmation calls if I didn’t confirm within an hour. To be super clear, I’m not talking about that I missed an appointment, which is a completely legit thing to charge for, this was actually hours before my scheduled time. I did confirm, but also asked if this was really their office policy thinking that perhaps I had misunderstood. Oh yes, it is the policy — if you don’t return their confirm call they will charge you. I figured I had missed this in the office policies, but in searching my email I discovered that I hadn’t received any. So, they were going to charge me a fee for providing no service whatsoever for an office policy that I was totally unaware of. I pointed out the ridiculousness of this, told them that today would be my last appointment with them, and got another email about 2 hours before my appointment that THEY were cancelling on ME because they didn’t want to work with me. Honestly, I was sooooo happy about that. Since this happened I’ve asked lots of people if this is just a new thing that dentists are doing — not a single one of them has ever heard of this.
Still waiting on MY cancellation fee check from «Dr. Kate» and friends… hahaha

I have not always had good dental experiences, however I had heard great things about Dr. Kate and her team, so I switched to her practice. I have to say, I was absolutely WOW’d by how amazing my experience was.
To start off, the office is impeccably clean and incredibly high tech. It’s clear they take great pride in having the most current technologies to increase their level of patient care. My cleaning was with one of the hygienists and she was incredibly friendly and thorough. She explained everything she did and why. They check several things that other dentists have never checked, like the jaw, gum recession measurements, etc. Incredibly thorough. Cleaning was great, absolutely painless. Dr. Kate came in at the end and had a brief discussion with me about some follow-​up I need. I really appreciated that they were respectful and not condescending as sometimes happens.
Overall, I cannot say enough about how great this office is. I wouldn’t normally rave so much about a dental experience, but I left feeling very good about everything and feel that their efforts should be shared.

I always recommend Renew 32 and Dr. Kate to anyone who is close to Bethesda and is looking for a great dentist. The whole office is clean, modern, and feels very calm. There aren’t 50 ppl in the waiting room (it’s usually just you), and they always are on schedule taking any stress out of a visit to the dentist. I specifically request Layla to do my cleanings at every checkup because she is super friendly, has excellent chair-​side manner, and simply does a great job with the cleanings every time. You never walk out of a dentist appointment here with your teeth aching, unlike some of the other dentists I have seen in the past…

Dr. Kate was incredibly unprofessional, patronizing and condescending. I was shocked to be treated as such. I will never go here again, and I’ll be telling all of my coworkers, many of whom go here because it’s across the street from our office, about this experience.

This is a great dentist’s office. I’ve been going there for several years, and the experience has been consistently positive. Dr. Kate, the hygienists and the receptionist are professional, knowledgeable and nice. I never thought I’d be Unilocaling a dentist’s office, but the team there deserves good reviews.

Dr Kate is wonderful. I went there for a cleaning. The environment was very clean, professional and her colleagues did a good job on my cleaning. Dr Kate examined my teeth. I had gone to another doctor which did a very bad cleaning and she told me I had a cavity. Dr Kate told me my teeth were fine. I also took my daughter, who is 2 years old, because of a daycare accident. Dr Kate examined her and my little one was cooperating so good with her, because the doctor is very kind. So, my little one did exactly what the doctor told her– she never did so with her pediatrician in the past!

They make the entire experience of seeing the dentist actually… enjoyable. I never thought I’d say that. Here’s what I appreciate the most: every other dentist since I was a kid would make me feel lousy about my teeth. Dr. Kate and her team are kind, thoughtful, fast, and really good at what they do. As a bonus, they actually remember details about your life and are really nice to talk to.
If you have ever in your life cringed at the thought of going to the dentist, give this group a shot. They are really amazing.

I used their online appointment system to set up a new appointment and got cancelled three times. I finally called and they told me it was the online systems fault because the online system doesn’t schedule enough time for new patients. Fine, ok. So they schedule me for an appointment a few months out. Finally my appointment comes around for Tuesday of this week. So then today, I forgot my cell phone at home. I get three missed calls telling me they need to cancel my appointment. BRAND NEW patient NEVER been seen and they are calling to cancel the DAY before my appointment which is at 9:00 AM. Seriously? Great costumer service guys. I will be looking for a new dentist.

Wow, that was a surprisingly pleasant experience. I wouldn’t normally use «pleasant» to describe a dentist visit but this is definitely appropriate.
The receptionist, hygienist, dentist were all very friendly. I liked that the hygienist actually explained what she was doing and why she was doing it rather than just poking me.
Nice, comfortable waiting room. Appointment started on time. Paperwork done on a computer. Can manage appointments online and get email reminders. Everyone was very nice. The whole thing took like 45 minutes.
I have no complaints at all… weird, but good, to say that about a dentist.

Best dentist that I’ve had. The staff is great and you are in and out in under an hour for a routine cleaning.
Only negative is that it can be difficult to book an appointment unless you have a flexible schedule.
I don’t have kids, but if I did, I would take them to see Dr. Kate.

This is by far the best place I have ever been! The staff is very friendly and professional. They have massaging chairs, and tvs and a latte machine… really makes you feel like you arent even at the dentist.

Best dentist I have ever been to, and the most modern technology available.

I’ve only been here for routine cleanings (no cavities recently!), but I really like Dr. Kate and her staff. In the past, I’ve gone to dentists who sweep in for 15 seconds at the end of your visit and have no idea who you are. I didn’t get that sense here. On my first visit, Dr. Kate did my entire exam and cleaning herself, which I really liked. On the second visit, a very friendly hygienist did my cleaning (and did a really good job). And when Dr. Kate came over at the end of my appointment, she referred to a conversation we had six months earlier. It definitely made me feel like she had at least read through my chart again before I came in.
Plus, the practice is very modern, with massaging chairs and attached TVs. Both times I’ve been there, I got a goody bag with toothbrush, toothpaste, and floss at the end.

I had a really great experience at Renew32 and highly recommend Dr. Kate Nematollahi if you’re looking for a dentist the Chevy Chase, Rockville, Bethesda, etc. area.
I paid a visit to have my routine cleaning and x-​rays done, which was covered under my insurance plan, so I didn’t have any trouble with payment. At the time of my visit, the office was running a special for a free whitening treatment with a cleaning, but I didn’t take advantage of the offer. Seems like a great deal all the same.
I’m one of those weird people who loves going to the dentist, so I enjoyed my cleaning appointment. Dr. Nematollahi was very personable and very gentle on my teeth. She did a great job of educating me as the patient. She explained each step of my examination and the X-​ray process. I’m not a regular flosser, so I usually have screaming, sore gums after appointments. Not so this time. And Dr. Kate wasn’t too judgmental about my irregular flossing. I’m getting better though!
Dr. Nematollahi’s practice is fairly new – less than a year old – though she’s been practicing dentistry for a number of years. That in mind, definitely give her a try. She’s a great dentist and the office is extremely comfy and modern. So modern, in fact, that you fill out your paperwork on a computer in the waiting room. It really expedites things! There’s also a flat screen TV attached to each chair, which is a nice amenity that nervous patients and kids may appreciate.
As a final nice touch, Renew32 treats new patients to a nice goody bag which includes the obvious toothbrush, paste and floss, but also a mug and pen. You’re also automatically added to the online community for the practice where you can review your service, request appointments and get reminders of your next visit.
