Beverly Hills 76

Had a flat, pulled in and the rude middle eastern mechanic told me «$ 25! if you don’t like it, leave!». Jesus, i just met you 30 seconds ago and I was driving a brand new vehicle, I wasn’t rude to you. Can’t recommend this place at all.

I was working a lighting production gig at Versace off of Rodeo Dr. I finished at about 1am, I got back to my car & noticed that my front passenger tire was flat. I reached for my phone in my pocket to call AAA, it dropped & shattered.. Hung my head in disappointment with myself for a minute, got in the car anyway & proceeded to drive to Beverly Hills Oil, which I remembered was a few blocks away, knowing that a gas station would atleast help me call AAA or let me use their phone to call. So im behind the wheel, limping this monster SUV there. I pull in to the driveway, walk over to talk to the graveyard attendant, explain my situation, she totally denied me any kind of help whatsoever. I was very polite & definitely in need of assistance. So I asked if I could use her phone, Denied. I held my AAA card up to the window & ask her if she could dial the number for me…, denied. It’s just unfortunate that the world is coming to this when a person is in need of help, & nobody is willing. Especially your local gas station.

Based on my limited dealings with someone who was apparently the owner, I would strongly suggest taking your business elsewhere. Made a series of anti-​American remarks, after displaying other behavior that would lead a reasonable person not to want to do business there. Reviews on other sites suggest lack of ethics and integrity in business dealings beyond those addressed here on Unilocal.Go elsewhere.

I stopped here to fill up on gas while on business in Beverly Hills. It was conveniently located on the cross street as I was exiting the Beverly Wood area, and I hopped in for a refreshment.
I bought my usual iced tea, and used the restroom (which was clean). I went out to fill up my tank, and off I went.
One thing I notice is that four of the pumps are full service. This is great, because most gas stations I’ve been to lack this. I didn’t use the full service this time, so I didn’t get a scope of the quality of service. But the staff overall seems pretty cool.
The gas was priced comparable to the area, which is above average when compared to the South Bay.
What can I say? It was there and served its purpose. They’re alright by my book.

If you have a nail in your tire this is the place to go. Miguel fixes it up really quick and does an amazing job

For gas this place is a rip off!
As of January 2015 gas is under $ 2.69 a gallon and this place is still at $ 4.79 a gallon. I don’t know why anyone would gas up here unless you are desperate
Their garage work is not bad which is why I gave it two stars instead of one and you can fill up a tank of propane at decent prices

They have horrible customer service!!!
I went their to et my tire fixed the owner and manager just stood around as one man ran the whole full service department. I’m 9 months pregnant and had to get to work, when I asked the 2 men just standing around dojng nothing for help, they both replied «you have to be patient». They literally were standing doing nothing!

My mother who is 60 + years old pulled into the station and asked for help putting air in her tires. They refused to help unless she put $ 20 worth of gas in her tank. Her tank was full. She had to beg and plead with the owner for help. After 10 minutes of him giving her grief he finally filled the one tire that was low. He didn’t even check the other tires.

I’m a fairly regular customer of this location.
I do agree with the other Unilocalers about several of the employees aren’t that professional. I’ve noticed that there’s a new owner that’s recently taken over this location. He does make an effort to be friendly. I only go to this location to get gas when I need to have things checked under the hood, as there’s not too many full serve gas stations around anymore. I’ve never been charged extra to check under the hood & hope that situation won’t ever come up, as it would be major problem. When one sees full serve, one can assume that they will be checking under the hood & the tire pressure.
All in all, an okay experience. I do think that they could step up the customer service considering the area that they’re in. Perhaps the new owner will read the Unilocal reviews & respond to the suggestions.

What a great place! Had a light on and didn’t know what it was, actually had to google for a full service gas station on a Friday night, Alberto took great care of me and I am so impressed with how professional and nice he was. Highly suggest coming here

Tony at the register was wildly rude and abrasive — with this terrible experience, I’ll go to one of the other many options for gas. AVOID

On my way home from work my tire picked up a half inch bolt. I asked the parking lot people where I should take it to repair they told me the only one close to my apartment was this 49 gas station, but they also said he is expensive. $ 45 dollars expensive! I don’t call this expensive I call it high way robbery. For real all he did was pull the bolt out and put glue on it. 3 minutes of work. Once again I feel as if I’m in the wrong profession. Gas is also overpriced here.

Saturday morning, at 9:30am, I drive to the «Full Service» pumps – I thought I might need some oil and that my tires might need some air – and I had just showered.
It was too early to get dirty again doing these things myself!
«Check the oil, check the tires” – these are absolutely standard full-​service items, but somehow, a garage employee at Beverly Hills Union 76 made them seem impossible or ridiculous.
Anyway…
After eyeballing me for at least a full minute (no one else was at the station at the time), the employee stops chatting with a cashier and approaches me to say, «Can I help you?»
(Duh. That’s why I’m at the full service pump)
«I’d like the oil level checked, and the tires air pressure checked, too, please.»
I had already pulled the «hood pop» lever, to make things easier for him.
«Sure, you can get air,» he says, and disappears into the garage.
He returns a minute later with an air adapter, screws it onto the air hose near the fuel pump, and proceeds to walk away toward the snack shop again, presumably to resume his conversation with the cashier.
«Excuse me, aren’t you going to fill the air?»
«You can do it.»
(WHAT?!?)
«I’m paying YOU to do it, sir. That’s why I’m in full-​service. I’d like the oil checked, too.»
«How much?»
«How much oil? I don’t know. I thought you would check.»
«No, I mean how much will you pay me to fill the air?»
(Again. WHAT???)
So, yeah, I just shook my head in disbelief (I did not complain or insult or show disrespect, as he had done), stepped out of the car to secure the hood, and afterward drove away in disgust.
I went directly to the other full-​service 76 station near the old Robinsons May (across from Beverly Hills High School), where the man checked the oil (it was fine) and filled the tires with air without my having to even ask him, and he tried to REFUSE my tipping him!
THAT’S how it’s done, which is why that dude got a $ 20 tip at my insistence.
As for the jackass at Beverly Hills Union 76, you bring shame on the rest of your coworkers.
You know who you are, and while I hope you don’t lose your job, I hope you don’t act «picky and choosy» with who gets help when they pull into your «full service» island.
Would you have asked a WOMAN to fill her own air?
An elderly person?
Someone in an evening gown or suit?
Driving a Rolls Royce?
All IRRELEVANT.
Another mechanic could have pulled in to full service, sweaty and already greasy after a full day of labor, obviously easily capable of doing his own oil check and filling his own tires…
Doesn’t matter.
Check his damn air, check his oil, collect your tip, and THEN continue shooting the shit with the cashier.
Loser.

I just paid $ 38 for an oil change that took less than 45 mins. I was able to grocery shop at Pavilion’s across the street while Reuben (the mechanic) worked! It was great! They also do Smog Checks. I will be back for that!

Full on Deception! Do not be deceived by the 2 fill up stations that are closest to the cashier – they are «Full Service» meaning it will cost you more than 5 bucks a gallon.
If you look closely at the pump there is a small worn-​out Handwritten note that is Scotch Taped on the pump that says «Full Service.»
And no, the full service Attendant won’t come up to find you until you have gotten out of the car and SELF Served yourself to pay for the gas at the cashier.

They have (almost) every flavor of Doritos in here. And the gas ain’t bad either!

This place is way too expensive. Sodas are a dollar more than other places. Pelegrino is twice the price. They charge $.50 for a cup of ice. I walk out of there shaking my head every time in disbelief. The only reason I gave them 2 stars is because they have a nice selection of chips, heh heh. I’m officially on a boycott.

It’s better to avoid doing business at this gas station. In my mind, a gas station is a simple exchange and there should really be no reason for any problems.
Strangely, lots of people have problems at this gas station. The guy working the booth is a complete idiot, for starters. He’s rude, lazy and argumentative. You’d think for the extremely high prices they could at least treat people with respect. But I suppose it is too much to ask for these people.
Avoid.

I must strongly disagree with the reviews written prior to this one. I needed a smog test before my appointment to register my vehicle with the DMV. I went to Beverly Hills Union 76 and explained to them I needed the check completed in under hour in order to make it to my appointment. The guys went out of their way to make this happen! In fact they inspected other parts of my vehicle for free and gave me there coupon price (even though I failed to bring a coupon). I was out the door in 20 minutes.
They are awesome and very friendly.

This station always has the highest gas prices in the nation, but lately they have set a new high, $ 5.55.9 for Premium! This is just greed, flat out greed.
I am glad they have figured out how to navigate the rules to gouge at will… I guess it’s a free country.
People like this take away my trust in people. Instead of saying «full service» this clown should just put on a bandit mask and be rude to me so I dont feel that I am being shorted on drama. I am not sure who is the bigger dolt, the guy who is gouging for 76 or the tool who is filling up at this station. I guess I will have to wait until karma takes care of these pleasant non-​essential sad excuses for humans.
