Tired of stylists who are so famous they sic their underlings on you and treat you as if you are lucky to get an appointment? (And you ARE! You have to reserve weeks in advance and g-​d forbid you need to change the date!)

Tucked behind a court yard of a discreet, no frills, brick building, up some un-​kept stairs, lies a tony, tiny hair salon with a stylist who jumps up with glee when he books your appointment, turns off his cell phone, gives you his undivided attention and ROCKS YOUR HAIR like Harry Winston rocks a diamond.
If I were a celebrity, this is where I’d be! This guy knows his stuff and no paparazzi would follow me here!
My only negative is that the owner of the building could use a little real estate TLC, but it’s so cute and hidden and my hair never looked better!

Thank you Daniel for getting rid of my summer frizzies!!! Feeling pretty again! I have been having Daniel do my hair for the last 20 years. He is the master of color. Daniels shop is low key, a one man shop with personalized service and attention to every detail.

Daniel is a genius! What he can do with color and hair is just amazing. Lovely salon, its Beverly Hills so the parking is difficult (get an idea of how long your service will take so you can plan ahead)

Ladies, if you have thick long curly or wavy hair Daniel will be your best friend. It has always been hard for me to meet a hair stylist who could give me a hair cut that would look great with a blow out or with the wash and go curls or waves. Daniel gave me exactly what I was looking for when I was visiting LA this summer. Can’t wait to go back and pay him another visit!

I booked an appointment with Daniel after winning a ‘Free Haircut’ prize for his salon at Hamburger Mary’s Legendary Sunday Night Bingo (
). In general, I am a little pessimistic about redeeming free coupons or gift certificates for services. I always get nervous that since I am not a «paying» customer (although I always make sure to tip on the full amount!) I will not be treated as well as them. This was definitely nothing to worry about once I met Daniel! He was so friendly, welcoming, and excited to get to know me and work with me on a new style.
His studio is very clean and bright, and he chose some fun music for us to listen to during our session. Through talking to him, I learned about his very impressive commitment to hairstyling and education. He stays very current on techniques and styles, and it is evident in the way that he will cut your hair.
Daniel will be meticulous when it comes to cutting your hair. And you will thank him for it! He makes sure that every hair will fall exactly where you want it, and he took great care to gather my input along the way. He told me what he thought would look flattering on me, and with my approval, he created some really great layers to get the ‘heaviness’ that had been in there before.
During the blow-​dry (which is is phenomenal at), he was able to show me how to get great volume and curls with only a blowdryer and brush. There is nothing worse than getting a great style in the chair, and then completely failing to re-​create it at home. He made sure this would not happen with me.
Overall it was a great experience. Parking can be a little tricky, and the salon is not right off the street, so it could be easy to miss. You need to walk into the courtyard of the street address, and his salon is on the second level, on the left side towards the rear.
