Dr. B is the absolute BEST doctor we have ever seen! I had been taking my two teens to another Beverly Hills practice and it was a miserable experience. I won’t bother to go through all the complaints. Thankfully a kind person referred us to Dr. B and what a relief. Everyone in the practice is kind and competent and top-​notch. Jackie is a dream to work with — she will make sure your kids get seen when needed and she is so sweet and responsive. Dr. B is always on time and is very thorough and friendly and empathetic with her patients. She cares about them as people — not just as patients — asks to see prom/​grad pix etc. My girls don’t like having blood drawn but the nurses at Dr. B’s are the best we have ever seen. I am going to switch to her for my own derm needs and I recommend her to anyone who asks.

Literally changed my life! I was suffering from
Persistent moderate acne for a couple of years! I tried every cream (prescription and non-​prescription), crazy diets, vitamins and nothing helped. When I came to visit Dr. Haleh, she told me that accutane was the answer for me. I was glad she didn’t make me go through hoops and recognized that I’d been suffering enough. She worked with her pharmacy to get me the absorica brand name medication, and they even mailed it to me for a reasonable copay which was very convenient. After 2 months, I was clear, but at her behest I finished a 6 month course (with an extra month thrown in since I was still having recurring breakouts after clearing up). It was not an easy medication to be on, but she recommended some great products to help with the peeling lips!!! And dry skin. I was glad for the monthly visits where she could see my progress and give advice accordingly. It was totally worth it. 9 months later I am still acne free and my skin looks great. I can’t emphasize what a difference it’s made with my self esteem and confidence. I am truly grateful for all of Dr Bakshandeh’s help.

Definitely definitely do NOT go to dr Haleh Bakshandeh. Absolutely horrible. They rated high on Unilocal so thought I would try them out but I found them only worried about how they could make money from you. She said I needed a cream and packed it into a bag without asking me if I wanted to purchase it and charged me when I was leaving. The doctor is very polished and says the right Things but not genuine. The organization was just trying to make money and not interested in helping me out with my dermatitis. No follow up, I had to call them multiple times after they said they would follow up. Extremely disappointed. I will not be going back!

Dr. B is not only an amazing dermatologist but she is one of the best medical doctors I’ve ever seen. I use Unilocal a lot to find great businesses but I have never written a review until now. I was so pleased with Dr. B’s professionalism, office staff (Jackie is amazing), and overall experience that I felt compelled to write about my experience.
I have been to her office a handful of times and the wait to be seen has always been very minimal. I usually get into the room within a few minutes of arriving. The doctor herself is very patient, thorough, and warm. She takes time to listen to my concerns (and my excessive questions) patiently and always makes me feel better about skin issues that have given me lots of anxiety in the past. After my first visit, I had questions about a prescription cream I just began using. I called her office and let her staff know about how my skin was reacting. The doctor personally called me within hours to ask about the reaction and how I was feeling. After her recommendations and prescribed cream, my skin has never looked better! I can’t say enough good things about Dr. Bakshandeh and her knowledge and professionalism. I have referred many of my coworkers and friends to her and they all have had great experiences.
I recently switched insurance companies and unfortunately her practice is not a provider for my new plan. I had to resort to finding a new dermatologist and he doesn’t even compare to Dr. B. I was so disappointed in my new derm and their practice that I am considering paying out of pocket to continue being seen by the best Dermatologist in Los Angeles! Go see her, you won’t regret it.

I used to be a big fan of Dr. Bakshandeh. She is a nice person and her staff is lovely. Unfortunately, I recently went to her with a small rash on my face and she prescribed me a strong steroid cream. My face ended up breaking out and the rash grew red, itchy and ALL OVER MY FACE. I went to see another doctor who confirmed the steroid cream was the worse thing to use for this kind of rash. Now I’m forced to be on antibiotics and prescription cream that costs a lot of money for over a month. Will definitely never return.

Unilocal wins again. When my current dermatologist dropped my health insurance, I was left looking for a dermatologist in a hurry. I turned to Unilocal,and I came across Dr Bakshandeh. Her staff was able to squeeze me in last minute, the day of!
Doctor Bakshandeh is even more beautiful than her photo, plus she has perfect skin to boot! She had incredible bedside manner and really took the time to hear why I was there. She addressed all my questions and even offered her email address to me.
I was so impressed by the entire experience. I showed up early and they were able to get me in early. If only all doctors were this great.

This dr is awesome!!! She is super nice and her staff are excellent! They are so fast at checking insurance and super friendly. I was seen really fast and there was pretty much no wait. I had crazy dry skin from the winter and Dr Haleh gave me this cream and some really soothing moisturizer and my skin was fine after a few days! She is literally so awesome and i would definitely recommend her! She was not trying to sell me some expensive cream and told me i dont need to use much :) i really felt like she genuinely cared about me as a patient

Dr Bakshandeh and her office (Jackie) are top-​notch! I went for six months. Highlights:
— fixing my issue after two other local dermatologists didn’t
— handling tough HMO insurance rules and pharmacy
— working with me when I was in China for a few moths to get docs in order
I still happily come from Venice to their office. Great medical attention, friendly and beautiful people, plus great work with insurance company. A+.

Nothing but good things to say about Dr. B & her staff, I had one of the best experiences in my life & I will continue to come to her as long as I need it, She’s my go to Dermatologist. I been going to her going on 7 months now and she’s helped my skin tremendously literally a drastic change… every time I had a side affect to my medication she always gave me a way to fix it & not to mention her staff is awesome especially Jackie she always helped me out whenever I called and needed something. I live about 45min away from her office but I honestly wouldn’t go anywhere else!

My experience with Dr. B was incredible. My appointments and treatment were handled professionally and diligently. Dr. B truly cares about her patients.
I went through Accutane with Dr. B. She carefully walked me through all the side effects and how the treatment was going to work. Her staff is also friendly and professional. Additionally, her office has lotion and chapstick that help with the dryness that occurs during the treatment.
My skin is now clear and I will definitely go back to Dr. B for all dermatology needs.

Dr Bakshandeh is awesome. I drive all the way from Orange County to see her. All of the girls in the office are really sweet too (especially Jackie).

I can’t say enough good things about Dr. Bakshandeh and her entire staff! I always look forward to my appointments, and everything gets handled professionally, efficiently, and with a smile!
I came to Dr. Bakshandeh about 6 months ago after struggling with acne for the past 10 or so years. I had tried just about everything — Dr. Bakshandeh suggested Accutane, and although everyone has of course heard all the «horrible» things about the drug, she explained everything to me and made me feel very comfortable with starting it and monitoring it while I was on the treatment. The past 6 months have flown by, and my skin is perfect — no blemishes in sight! I am finishing up my last month, and I could not be more grateful. Dr. Bakshandeh is a life saver!!! She listens to your concerns, and is very eager to help. The only negative side affect of the drug that I experienced was chapped lips, but Dr. Bakshandeh will give you a cortisone lip balm that helps tremendously.
SO happy to have found Dr. Bakshandeh and her staff (Jackie is the best!), and I look forward to continuing to visit for the occasional «perfecting» peel now that my skin is acne-​free! :)

I think finding a great Dermo is one of the hardest things to accomplish. I have been to MANY all over the USA and no one has been able to help my acne. Dr. Bakshandeh has cured my acne problems, fixed some pigmentation that I thought was permanent, and had me in and out quickly. All of this solved with ONE office visit and ONE check up a month later to see if it worked-​which it did. She knows exactly whats she doing and she doesnt mess around. Im so relieved. Seriously if you try and go to a different Dr, they all suck, so you’ll be right back here looking for someone else.

I have been going to Dr. Backshandeh for over 6 months now and she has been wonderful. She was recommended to me by another doctor and she and her staff are very friendly and professional.
The office is very inviting as well, and parking is not too bad as there are meters on their cross street.
The services i went to the Doc for was skin cancer prevention, and acne treatments. I was happy with my treatments for both.
Make sure to make an appointment as Dr. Backshandeh is very busy and popular.

I have had acne most of my adult life. After trying several things including acupuncture (which helped temporarily) I decided to try a new dermatologist. I must say I was very skeptical about taking Accutane because of the numerous side effects. However, Dr. Bakshandeh highly recommend I try the treatment due to the severity of my acne (cystic). She informed me of everything I needed to do while taking the medication and monitored my progress along the way.
As a result, I am acne free today!!! Despite my moments of push back, Dr. Bakshandeh was patient with me and reassured me of her expertise. I trusted her judgement and I’m so glad I did. I had a great experience with her staff and enjoyed my visits (6 months). I would recommend Dr. Bakshandeh to anyone dealing with skin issues. I understand we are all unique and respond differently to treatments but at least give her an opportunity to assist you. I am so grateful and will always use Dr. Bakshandeh for my dermatological needs.

I am updating this review to express that this issue has not only been resolved but handled professionally.
I received a call this morning from the owner of the pharmacy (Ben) who explained to me that the issue WAS in fact on their hands and NOT the doctor’s office. Apparently their fax was down and they were not receiving incoming faxes. To have the owner himself call and explain the mishap leaves me with no ill feelings with the pharmacy because as I stated in the original review, we all make mistakes but it takes courage to admit the fault. I’m told the woman at the pharmacy who told me the fib has since been written up (yikes). With that said, Dr. Bakshandeh’s staff and I are in good standing. I would hate to lower the great reviews here when the truth is – what happened just wasn’t true. To the front desk staff, thank you for taking the time to call the pharmacy and make sure this mistake was explained and handled correctly. I truly appreciate it.
All in all — I can honestly say that other than that mishap — which I’ve now learned wasn’t even on the doctor’s office — my experience with Dr. Bakshandeh and her staff has been a positive one.

Had high hopes after reading the reviews but her staff is completely incompetent. I’ve had so many headaches just trying to get a response from her office. They’ll also try to push more expensive prescriptions on you. I wanted to try a retinol cream and it took me two weeks to finally get the generic brand after they kept pushing the insanely expensive $ 500 option.
The doctor herself is below average. She has a cold demeanor and will hardly give you a chance to ask questions or express your concerns. If you have acne, expect her to immediately suggest accutane. It doesn’t seem worth my $ 40 copay to spend 5 minutes in her office and have her just tell me I need accutane when I only have a mild problem that could benefit from prescription topical treatments. I’m so frustrated with her and her office I think I’ll head somewhere else. They could really use a lesson in people skills.

Just thought I’d update my review from 5 years ago. Ever since my course of Accutane with Dr. Bakshandeh, my skin continues to be light years better than ever in the breakout department.
Accutane isn’t for everyone, but for me it was the right treatment. I hardly ever break out now and when I do it’s just the tiny, fast-​healing kind that are easily camouflaged with a simple BB cream.

I went to Dr. Bakshandeh with horrendous adult acne that had come on suddenly. I had acne as a teenager and saw dermatologists then, but so far Dr. Bakshandeh has blown them out of the water. I’ve had two appointments with the lovely doctor and I’ve already seen a ton of improvement.
As another reviewer experienced, Dr. Bakshandeh also initially suggested Accutane for me. However, just as the other reviewer remarked, the doctor left it completely up to me (and ultimately, when we took a closer look at my situation, she agreed that it would only be as a very last resort). She prescribed me an oral medication, topical gel, and recommended I see an aesthetician for acne extractions for a number of treatments (unfortunately the office does not perform extractions). I’ve followed Dr. Bakshandeh’s advice and am extremely happy with the results.
The lovely doctor is very friendly and sharp, while her office is organized and professional. She listened to everything I had to say and explained the purpose of everything she prescribed/​recommended for me — and more than any other dermatologist I’ve had, she took the time to explain what my face was doing, and that I *had* to give everything 4 – 6 weeks since results can take time.
Parking: The office will re-​iterate this if you ask, but your best bet is to park in Neiman Marcus. It’s 2 hours free with validation, and if you ask nicely they will happily validate for you at any of the Neiman Marcus counters.
