Paper Source

They have an excellent collection of funny and unique greeting cards. When I am in the area I stop by to pick up a card for whatever upcoming special day is coming up. The employees are always friendly and greet once you enter the store.

I stopped in this store to browse as the window displays caught my eye. I had never been to a Paper Source store ever! Shocking, I know! When I saw the window displays it looked like a really cool book store/​toy shop so I went it. I am not sure if ALL Paper Source stores are like this or if it’s just this one because it’s in Beverly Hills. They had a sale rack too. And they had all sort of different books, toys, knick knacks, etc — for all ages, needs, genders, etc. A cool place to get some gifts! I know Paper Source as mainly a place where people get their wedding invitations done and it’s a great store. I just had no idea it’s also a great GIFT SHOP! Worth visiting if you are strolling around in this area.

I wasn’t here for me, but the better half loved it here. I for one was surprised to see a place like this so close to the famous Rodeo Drive.
They certainly have a lot of cool paper goods here. Cards, books, maps, etc. If you are looking for that sort of thing I can’t imagine a more complete place to stop!

My mom surprised me withy a handmade birthday card on my birthday (February 1^st), and so we came back to make Valentines for the rest of my family. They offered this option for the month of February for Valentine’s Day, for a flat rate of $ 8. It was such a great experience to make our own cards however we wanted to. A store associate helped us with inspiration and showed us how to use the different crafts and tools. We extremely enjoyed the half hour of crafts and will definitely be back the next time they offer this!

Compared to a Hallmark or a Papyrus, Paper Source has normally been considered the middle child for me. Now that Hallmark is on my sh** list, Paper Source moved up by default, but my visit recently to their shop warranted them #1.
The Friday before Valentine’s Day, I knew I’d find a bunch of people (okay, men) who would not normally be in this place other than Mother’s Day. I only saw about 3 workers, which is most likely the norm, but with the amount of people, it was a little overwhelming. Realizing the only way I would probably get help, I went and stood in line with my questionable purchase.
Cashier was a sweetheart, and I discovered my planner was now 50% off (as I waited semi-​wisely until February to purchase one) and she even let me come around to look at the description online, as this item was sealed and I did not want to open it. I was rung up quickly, declined a bag, and was on my way.
Besides the typical cards, they also have some great stationery if you still like to write (I do), and as I browsed, I remembered this is actually where I pick up my ‘quality-​stock’ resume paper whenever I feel like getting my lazy self into an upgraded mental mode. I also noticed they have a nice selection of those ‘Minimergency Kits’ that I enjoy giving as gifts.
Paper Source has plenty of locations throughout Los Angeles, and this particular one has a great space for all of your gifting needs.

I recently went to paper source because I was in need of some journaling pens (ones that are thin for writing inside journals or bibles or books and they don’t bleed) so I stopped by because they are down the street from my work and my first impression was this was the cutest store just on the outside that I couldn’t wait to walk in. The door itself felt like I was on Main Street in a little town. The first thing that grab my attention were the tables according to theme separated by each part of the store. You could easily find your way around even thigh it’s your first time. It’s the perfect store for the person that has everything but with a twist.
Sadly I don’t remember the name of the two ladies that helped me but they were so sweet and suggestive which I loved.
A lot of their items are pricey for a stationary store but they are unique so you are paying for quality & uniqueness. Nothing you can find at target.
Oh & if you love coupons they have a exclusive mailing list which you can get coupons. Yay coupons !
Overall I think I’m just missing a star because I noticed they had personal gift wrapping and I want to try that before I commit to the full 5 stars so stay tune …

So many cute stuff here that I just love to go there and somehow can’t stop spending money, i just can’t help myself haha.
The staff is always helpful and nice. I bought too many x’mas cards and didn’t want to keep them till next year, they let me return them with no problem. :)

Best mother daughter bonding place in the universe! Sara is awesome ! We bought her teachers and friends one of a kind items!!! You can not miss the rainbow unicorn staplers!!! They Rock!!! Spent soooo much happy money there! We call this our happy place! Thanks guys‍

I was in a time crunch… had to have an expensive Christmas item wrapped and shipped today… other shops have an attitude and said «we have a 4 day back up» I would wrap myself but I am terrible!!! They are doing it now while I wait. Will look absolutely stunning… have to say…75 bucks to wrap is steep… but it will look like a million bucks and they are super sweet here! :-) presentation is everything!!! Some things are just worth it! Thanks again paper source! You saved my day!!!

Constructive feedback on the line here. Takes way too damn long for a short line Jesus, you guys should cut the conversations short when people are waiting! Need some flow management! Standing about 10 minutes with two people ahead of me.

Amazing place! A lot of ideas to make a gift, it’s impossible to leave without buying anything.

Just spent almost an hour here figuring out the details to my wedding invitations and the girls that work here were incredibly helpful. One in particular with curly hair spent time with me choosing the most meticulous silly details like choosing between two shades of crème that are pretty much the same lol. She was super nice and never made me feel like I was wasting her time. It almost felt like a friend helping you decide the little details. I’ve gone to several stores but this is by far my favorite. Will definitely be back!

I come here often on my walks around Beverly Hills. They have the best cards. I usually come here for unique gifts even though it tends to be on the pricey side. All the gifts/​cards I have bought here or wrapped there gets smiles and happy friends!

Now, I like the Paper Source. They have great things that one reviewer described as «bougie» and that is a completely accurate description. It’s a bit like a very customized, high end Urban Outfitters accessories department — full of knick-​knacks and cute little things and pretty papers.
The one star for this store has nothing to do with the product (although they are pricey… but that seems to be the nature of the beast). No, instead the one star is for the TERRIBLE MANAGER.
If you see a short, stocky woman with brown hair and tattoos DO NOT ENGAGE. Incredibly rude, unhelpful and obviously a bit power-​mad. Obviously, she gets off on saying no to people because the moment you require even the barest hint of customer service she will tell you it’s «not policy» and proceed to scold you in front of all the other customers.
I work just around the corner from this location. So far, three people in my office have had negative confrontations with this woman — including once when it was asked if they could kindly cut ¼ inch off of a piece of paper. My coworker was told that it was a liability for them to do so. Let me repeat that. A PAPER STORE COULD NOT CUT A PIECE OF PAPER BECAUSE IT WAS A LIABILITY. When my coworker said she would gladly sign a waiver or whatever they needed, etc., she was told that absolutely under no circumstance would she be helped.
My other coworker was putting together her wedding invitations. She wanted to exchange ribbon that she’d bought in the Fairfax location (which has AMAZING customer service). The Mad Manager attacked and humiliated her in front of a fully crowded store of customers.
The moral of this review is that: A) Paper Source is super awesome and has many wonderful objects and many great locations; B) the Beverly Hills location is pretty good — with the exception of the absolutely godawful manager; C) Patronize any other location for quality products and, more importantly, quality service.

I can admit my rating is a little biased. This place is overpriced and a bit «bougie» for me. $ 20 to wrap a gift? It’s cool for some small knickknacks, etc, but it’s hard for me to get excited over pricey wrapping paper because it makes people feel classier.

found this place when I was walking around Beverly Hills area. The cute cupcake window dressing instantly attracted these girlie girls eyes! My friend, who is such a very crafty person, told me that they actually have a store in New York (SoHo exactly and I think they have many branches all over the States as well) but I never saw them before.
I could not help myself but drooling over their stuffs inside. They have huge selection of cute and beautiful paper here. They also have many types of rubber stamps! How cute is that?
Going into this store is enough to make me felt content and happy for the rest of the day. But I ended up only buying calendar (yeah i know its already march) and washi tape (I am addicted to washi tape!!). I’m so proud of myself that I was able to resist all the temptations lol. But this place definitely will be my too-​go place whenever I feel a little crafty.

Don’t expect them to go out of their way to help you.
Arrived there at 4:40 with a gift to be wrapped. The clerk said «is this for tonight and we stop wrapping at 5:00 and now it’s 4:40»
I KNOW!!! Mind numbingly stupid.
It took me 5 seconds to wrap my mind around how strange her answer was. Rather than saying what anyone would say, I kept a smiling face and begged her to help me as I had to gift to someone in an office next door 15 minutes after.
Guys, I’m telling you: every answer is dumber than the one before.
To sum up… I wouldn’t recommend them in an emergency.

I love wasting, err, spending my hard-​earned cash at this place. Totally love splurging on fancy-​shmancy stationary.
You can definitely expect a funny /​sentimental /​card-​stock-​embellished snail mail from yours truly at this PS shop!

I have never been to Beverly Hills before and am not a big fan of paper or paper products with lots of or any of that stuff. The girlfriend however, is into that stuff-it’s part of her feminine charm. The store is large and open that lets in a lot of light-​not sure if that’s a good idea for paper but it really did make the store very brightly lit and warm.
Unfortunately, the staff is not so warm. They are bright but they seemed too preoccupied with their own business to actually run their business. Two were at the craft table making crowns and they answered some questions my woman friend had but stayed at the table-​she was looking for stationary sets-​the crown lady just pointed to her right and went about making crowns.
We were left largely to ourselves and after browsing the ‘à la carte’ section-​again with no one asking if we needed any help. She settled on a pre-​made set that she was kind of okay with. We waited in front of the register but the cashier was busy talking with one of her friends-​we waited a little, figuring the conversation would taper off and she would notice an actual customer there waiting to complete a purchase.
She just kept right on talking so she was about to go and put it back where she found it but I told her to just drop it anywhere. They obviously don’t care. I would say that there are easier ways for a group of women to stroke their egos for an afternoon in Beverly Hills: shopping trips, or golfing or whatever opening a business seems to be a rather costly way to inflate their self-​importance.
