Lost my suit day before my interview so I got to buy a $ 300 suit last minute. Dirty and not air conditioned. I should have known better!

I was not impressed. I made the mistake of taking my winter clothes before putting them in storage so it was quite a few items. They missed a spot on my coat and and other items were hung haphazardly. I’m not super picky, just get it on the hanger? Maybe fix the collar? Apparently too much to ask here. The charge would have been acceptable for quality work, but alas the search for a dry cleaner continues.

Dress shirts are actually about $ 2.25 to $ 2.50 which is a little higher than I would want, but what can you expect these days? And since when does a dry-cleaning place charge based on the cost of the material/garment? They are not cheap but have always done a fair job in a timely manner with a nice attitude.

I won’t be returning here. The prices are really high, $ 9 to clean dresses that cost only twice as much…$ 3.50 to clean a dress shirt. I had a lab jacket cleaned, but they couldn’t get the stains out – I had already tried to get them out at home, but figuring they would do a better job. I reluctantly agreed to pay the $ 6.25. A friend told me that the same jacket would’ve cost me $ 1 – 2 at the dry cleaner he uses, so I’m thinking the mark-up is across the board including the atrocious cost for the dresses. I don’t understand why there is such a mark-up, so I won’t be returning for that reason and because they didn’t ‘t get the job done.
