one of the worst oil change experiences I’ve ever had…
their menu says «starts at» 29.99 but mine cost me $ 60
i made an appointment 3 days earlier for 1pm. i arrived at 1:01pm and they told me I was late
it took them over an hour to do the oil change, when they’d promised 30 minutes or less when I made the appointment.
they kept coming out every 15 minutes asking me questions… should’ve spent their time changing the oil instead of coming and talking to me
after I left, I got a mile down the road and my car started beeping… found out that they left the hood open
still hoping they didn’t do something to my car

been going to this place for years but all of a sudden they have overpriced their services. Watch your bill as when I got my oil changed I noticed that 3 people came in and stated they were over charged. The guy behind the desk each time said it must be a computer glitch. Of course when I went to pay they tried to charge me for tire rotation even though I bought my tires from them and pointed out it was free. please review your bill and get a 2^nd quote from another repair facility

I lived in Bloomington for a little over a year and used Davis Tire and Auto for all of my car care needs. They were recommended to me by a coworker when I was looking for an oil change shop, and I was continuously pleased from this initial service up until the last time I stopped in before I moved out of state.
Aside from their great service, I felt I could trust them to let me know if my car had issues that needed to be addressed. The first time they made recommendations for replacing or repairing parts, I discussed them with my mom’s husband, who is a mechanic by trade. He said that the concerns were definitely legit, so I appreciated knowing that they weren’t just trying to rip me off.
The guys up front, especially Trey, were always really nice, and the guys doing the actual mechanic work were super speedy.
Davis Tire also has a loyalty program that gives you a free oil change after your 5^th or 6^th one. Unfortunately, I never got enough oil changes during my stint there to get the free one, but it’s a nice little bonus that other oil change places don’t provide.

Recently I was traveling through Bloomington and my car broke down after 10:00pm. I had to have it towed and the tow truck driver recommended Davis Tire and Auto.
The service was friendly and I believe the work to be sound;however, the prices were outlandish, outrageous and ridiculous. In the few minutes I had after they called me I priced parts at Nappa, Autozone AND the dealer. Davis tire was almost double the price of Nappa and Autozone and 33% higher than the FACTORY DEALER FOR BRAND NEW PARTS.
They were 8 dollars cheaper than the dealer in terms of labor @ 90.00 per hour. Which is okay except I was charged an hour and a half more labor than what was actually worked on due to labor being calculated for each part put on (as an average standard) and not the actual labor .
Overall, even if the work and parts are good I’d never go back. I feel I was taken advantage of because they knew I was out of town and in a hotel. If the dealer is 33% cheaper why would I EVER go back.

Quality service, honest workers, but outrageous prices in this little kiosk in East Bloomington. For white-​collar workers, this would be the place to go for tires, routine check-​ups, transmission flushes, and so on. They send out a letter thanking you for your patronage after service, and follow up with some other correspondence (not coupons). Offer every service under the sun while you’re there and let you know when there are issues outside the scope of the service you requested that should be looked at. For example, I went for an oil change, and they told me my license plate light bulb was out and my air filter needed to be changed. Both points were true, so they weren’t taking me for a ride or whatnot, just letting me know. BUT, if you’re on a limited income, I would suggest going to one of the other hundred tune-​up places for service simply because all the perks in the world won’t make up for the difference in money you spend here. Nice folks, though.
