Blow And Go Salon

I am a professional photographer and was in Boca to visit my best friend for her birthday. I gifted her a portrait session and needed a Blow Dry and makeup for her for her session.
Her hair came out perfectly. Smooth and shiny. And it held all day in the Florida humidity. I did not get the name of her hair stylist but it was a good job.
After her hair was done, Emily was her makeup artist. This is where I am most picky as I am used to working with artists who often do my clients with my preferences in contouring, bases, and eyes. She had no problems with my watching and needed no direction from me. I let her do what she wanted expecting that I would need a fix At the end. I was so happy with her work. I have no retouching to do. Beautiful work. I wish I could bring her in to my studio but too far. Thank you, Emily. You made our session fabulous and my friend felt pampered and gorgeous

Horrible salon. Literally we did a trial updo for my sister’s wedding, which ended up loose and not secured at all. She didn’t use enough hairspray, it looked like something we Could do ourselves. She had no idea how to make thin hair more voluminous besides trying a donut, which ruined the look we were going for. My sister walked out of the salon WITHOUT AN UPDO, the same as when she walked in. They didn’t wash her hair or anything. 65 $ for that? To walk out as you walked in without an updo just because it’s a trial? Avoid this place at all cost, totally not professional. Amateurs can do what they can

Got a blow out with my friend, and loved it! Very professional ! The place itself is a cute little gem !

Was in the Boca area and had some time to kill, so I decided to try this place out. Granted, it was the day after Christmas but it was super packed. All blowdryers were running and all employees busy. The place is small so it was incredibly hot in there… as you would expect for a blow dry bar running all stations, all day long. I waited over 40 minutes to get my hair washed. Good thing I didn’t have anything else to do that day. Blow out was nice, I just wasn’t impressed with the service and atmosphere.

I was a little hesitant making an appointment at Blow and Go, thinking it was yet another «blow dry bar» that only cared about getting you in and out in 30 minutes. Typically my experiences at these places have been below satisfactory. Most of the stylists not caring about taking care of my hair… pulling, burning etc. Blow and Go far exceeded my expectations. It was clean and the staff was great. Flo did my hair, and she was outstanding. From the wash to the blow dry, I could not have been happier. I would recommend Flo at Blow and Go!!!

So convenient for me and I especially love watching the great movies while getting primped!

The best place for Blowouts!!! Between Jennifer, Cali & Brianna, you just can’t go wrong! They have magic in their hands!!! LUV, LUV, LUV this place!!! I usually go on my lunch hour from work in Boca — soo convenient!!! Especially on Mons & Tues special for $ 25!!! That allows me to go once a week thanks girls!!! LUV you!

Follow up to my review –
The owner phoned me an apologized for issues they were having with their systems and staff. As I had mentioned, I can understand tech issues and as long as the customer is addressed I am fine with that.
I went back to Blow & Go last week before taking off to Europe so I could get a blowout and not have to tackle European plugs. Brianna did a FANTASTIC job — the blowout lasted me 6 days including two international flights!

After going to this salon multiple times since it opened, and loving it, I’m sad to say they have disappointed me greatly and have done nothing to rectify it.
I made an online appointment for 5:30 pm the next day, with a specific hair dresser, and secured the appointment with my credit card. I was confirmed.
Upon arriving the next day for my appointment, the receptionist thought I was a walk in and immediately stated they were closing soon and couldn’t take anyone else. (There was one customer in a chair being blown out by one of the hair dressers).
I told her that I had a 5:30 appt that I had secured online and she looked in their system, found nothing and stated that they «…had been having trouble with their online reservations system.» I told her that I was sorry about that but was traveling the next day and really needed their help since the issue was a self acknowledge problem on Blow and Go’s end. I asked if the hair dresser who was finishing the other customer would stay a little longer to take me as I did have the confirmed appointment.
The receptionist looked reluctantly at me and walked the 10 ft to the hair dresser who told her she wouldn’t take me.
After a few more minutes of discussion about how they really should make this situation right and was there a manager to call, the receptionist refused. I asked for the manager’s number and she refused to give me that as well. She did give me the manager’s email address.
I wrote an email to said manager almost a month ago now and have never received a reply not acknowledgment.
Now, the issue issue I have really is summed up as follows– I have headed up several marketing teams, including one for a cruise line today. I often need to explain and apologies to guests (our customers) for computer errors. But what I never do is allow my customer to go away either unacknowledged or not taken care of to make a situation we caused go away. After all, the fault was with Blow and Go. They could have corrected the issue and left me a happy customer. Now that they haven’t even tried to make it right, I will ensure to be a vocal unhappy customer.
In short, the blow outs used to be good but the customer service lacks severely. There are dozens of other businesses who would love to have your business, I’m sure.

Terrible terrible terrible. I am so disappointed how my hair looked after 30 minutes from leaving the salon. I was told the curls would start falling softly but they drooped and my hair completely frizzed. I was going to a special event and unfortunately was not able to redo it so I took a comb and put clips in my hair.
I went on recommendations from Unilocal to Lauren. I would not recommend her, sorry. Nice person but not a good just blow out hair. I called this afternoon to speak to a manager and left two messages, nobody has returned my call to listen to me.
Will not go back to any of the blow and go salons after this one bad experience. There are too many other options in South Florida.

Some coworkers told me about this place and going on their lunch hour & being in and out in 30 minutes. I’ve been to many blowdry bars all over the country because I travel a lot. I visit them frequently as my hair is naturally curly and it’s a pain to blow dry and I like it smooth so anyway decided to check this place out and I loved it!!! I love the décor and the woman I think her name was Flora or Rosa was very sweet she had me in and out of there in 45 minutes and Mondays and Tuesdays it’s only $ 25! I thought everyone was nice, professional and it was clean! I will definitely go back… it’s so convenient right across the street from my office. If I was getting married I would definitely have them do my hair and make up. They offer airbrush make up and I really want to try it.

I called this place 2 weeks in advance because my fiancé and I were taking our engagement photos. I specifically asked for someone that knew how to blow dry taped in extensions and they guaranteed me they would put me with someone that was great at it. The lady also offered me the option to get my make up done and so I made an appointment for both. When the day came I showed up to my appointment she brought this older woman who washed my hair and then asked me how I wanted my blow dry. I explained to her I had a lot of extensions in and that all I wanted was a simple blow dry with some volume on top and then I wanted it all curled with the curling iron and pinned up (pin curls) the lady had no idea what pin curls was, so then she started to blow dry my extension, didn’t even bother to section out my hair and then proceeded to dry my hair with a rough bristle brush. She was pulling so hard that I felt all my extensions literally ripping out from my head to the point that I had to ask her to stop! She then told me I had too many extensions and that I wasn’t keeping my head still enough. After I went and complaint they put me with someone else, this girl was much nicer. She did a much better job but still my hair was partially wet, absolutely no volume and the curls were not even close to what I asked for. Needless to say I canceled my make up appointment went home re did my blow dry and curled it all over again. I was so upset because I had to end up doing my own make up as well. I had the worst experience, thankfully it wasn’t my wedding. You would think that a (premier blow dry salon) who only specializes in blow drying hair would have professionals that can do a decent blow out on extensions, well apparently not this place :(

I don’t trust anyone to do my side bangs/​keratin-​ed thick hair… no one does them right and I often get dry cuts to avoid them doing my hair wrong. However Lauren did my hair perfectly – for once better than I do it!!!

CHAMPION BLVD. LOCATION: Great price ($ 35) for a great blowout! The receptonist Jasmine is so friendly and sweet. I always go to Callie. She is able to wash and blow my hair in 30 minutes. Couldn’t ask for more. Not to mention, the place is adorable. All pink and clean and sparkly. They have coffee, capuccino, water etc. as well. Love it!

I had Emily do my eye make up for NYE and she was amazing ! She was quick and on point with what I wanted ! She’s super cute and pretty and love the way she does make-​up. Thank you so much !

I saw their info card when I was at the florist shop next door doing some wedding planning and decided to go into Blow & Go and check it out.
Ultimately, I found the girl at the reception desk to be rude, dismissive, and quite possibly too busy applying multiple layers of lip gloss to be bothered with answering questions. When I asked her about the wedding day package, she asked me if I wanted to book a make up trial ($ 50). I told her I didn’t yet because I had never heard of this salon before and I wanted to know more first.
This is when the snooty attitude came out. She gave me a look that said «are you stupid?» and pointed out pricing was on the card. That’s great receptionist. What else could I possibly want to know before committing to hiring this salon for one of the most important days of my life? I pointed out that I wanted to see some of their other work. To this she responded (I could not make this up) «check out our website». Um. I’m not at a computer, I’m IN YOUR SALON. And for the record, if she had said that nicely– it would have been fine– it’s 2014, most companies have online portfolios. But her attitude just… raised my eyebrows. She then proceeded to tell me they work on «elite» weddings. I think this was meant to imply that somehow I should count myself lucky to be able to book their service. Which is interesting, because this salon was located in a third tier strip mall. Um yes. Very elite. That’s why I had to pass.

I was very excited to come here and get a blow out for my big night out. I had to wait 45 minutes which is fine because I did not have an appointment.
I was never offered a drink, like all the other customers.
My hair did not come out at all like the picture we discussed. She curled all my hair in. She did not use a curling iron or hairspray to hold it. It was a humid day.
I left at 4:00, and within 2 hours it frizzed out. I went home and had to redo it myself. What a waste of time and money!
Btw I have hair that is very easy to style.
I should have kept reading into the allllll of their reviews. even into the currently not recommended section, lots of one and two stars. they have been open says since 2012 and at 3 stars. how are they still in business. unprofessional and low skilled stylist.

Called in before I went for a quick blow out for a dinner and they took me within 20min! When I got there I was in love with the décor (parkland location) I went to the back the girl washed my hair and offered me water and coffee than I she blow dried my hair «their signature style» straight with bounce. They have nice flat screen TVs so you can watch while they do your hair. They were playing pretty women when I was there. The process took about 35 min and i really liked the turnout. I have really curly hair so she had her work cut out for her. My hair wa smooth and frizz free. I didn’t give them a 5 because later on my hair started to curl form the bottom and frizz after I told the lady to our more product and she said that it was too much! Overall nice place and quick efficient service.

Note: I did NOT go to the Boca location I went or the Parkland location. Having gone to blow and go 3 ½ times I now feel like I can give an accurate assessment of the establishment. I first was reccomended the place by two people. My mom bought me one of the packages as a gift because I had a friends wedding and her events and my wedding and my events coming up (big mistake).
On my first visit (friends rehearsal dinner) I had a 4:00 appointment at five minutes til 5:00 After my friend and I (who also had an appointment) they finally offered to take is back. As if they were doing us a favor. I had to get my hair done I didn’t do my hair that day and the dinner was at 6. They offered me a 10% off card (that doesn’t even cover what I normally tip)
My second trip went very well and they earned my faith back.
Third trip I had an appointment at 2. They called me at 12 and asked me to come in at 12:30. I live 30 minutes away. No I can’t come in. No it is not my fault that your workers like to leave at the spur of the moment I am not on their schedule. The girl that worked on me that day pulled on my head so bad my neck hurt when I left and my hair fell by the time I left.
Fourth trip made an appointment for 12 received a call at 11:30 as I was walking out the door to change my appointment to 12:30. No. I can’t change my appointment I have an event at 2. This is why I make appointments
Let’s recap I have made 4 appointment and 3 of them have not been on time or they have tried to change the time.
I am not happy with this place and very upset that I have 3 left on my package, I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Note: I did NOT got to the Boca Raton salon, I went to the Parkland salon.
Blow & Go came highly recommended to me from a friend of friend whom I met at a wedding. She’d gotten her hair styled that morning for the evening wedding and spoke very highly of the Parkland salon. I recommended it to several of my friends, all of whom are in upcoming weddings and bridal showers. I decided to go this past Friday evening after work to have my hair styled before a rehearsal dinner and made an appointment for 4:30, with the rehearsal to start at 6.
Personally, my experience was good, again at the Parkland salon. I walked in to make the appointment and the receptionist recommended the «Go Signature» and a stylist. When I arrived the day of the appointment, I was taken almost immediately for my hair wash and although I appreciated my stylist’s opinion, I should have asked for the «Go Signature» as I was disappointed that my long, fine hair did not hold the «Go Beachy» waves for more than 30 minutes, although this is something I felt my stylist should have taken into account when recommending a look.
Despite my good experience, my 2 friends who joined me, also with 4:30 appointments, were not taken until 5 and one even elected to simply have her hair curled because any longer and we would have all been late to the rehearsal dinner. I can’t speak to their experiences although I know the manager was apologetic and offered 10% a next visit. I was more embarassed about the fact that I recommended the salon and my friends did not have a good experience.
I’ll go back to the Parkland salon in the future, but if I can’t say that I’ll recommend this place to others unless I’m extremely impressed. I may also try the Boca Raton salon instead.

I was in Boca Raton for a wedding in November 2013 and needed help with my hair and makeup — I’m terrible at both. This place wasn’t far from the hotel I was staying at and they had last minute availability, so I went in.
The makeup artist deserves five stars! She was really incredible. I can’t remember her name (I did ask her, too…), but she had a mermaid tattoo on her forearm I believe. If you see her, she was so great! Every single person I talked to at the wedding complimented me on my makeup and thought it was amazing.
The hair I felt was kind of a three — just okay. It was an up-​do (sort of…) and it stayed all night, which was great, I just felt like it wasn’t nearly as wonderful as the makeup.
I figured the three & five star experiences can average out to make the four rating. If I ever had a wedding or event in Boca again, I would definitely go here for makeup.
