History

Established in 2006.

Caring Transitions, founded in 2006, is the first national franchising concept specializing in senior relocation and transition services. With 160 locations throughout the United States all owned and operated by Certified Relocation and Transition Specialists, Caring Transitions provides clients with supportive moves, auctions, rightsizing and transitions. This includes expert advice plus a well-​executed transition plan beginning with the initial sorting of personal belongings through packing, shipping and selling of items to the final clearing and cleaning of the property.

Caring Transitions is part of Strategic Franchising Systems. It is a member of the International Franchise Association, the Small Business Association’s Franchise Registry, VetFran and Minority Fran.

Business Owner

I am Laura Osorio and I’m the owner of this local owned and operated Caring Transitions business. I launched Caring Transitions of Boca Raton after being laid off from my position at a local technology company after 17 years. It was the only job I’d ever had in the United States and although I was devastated, I saw the change and as opportunity to start a new career. Caring Transitions was the perfect business for me because it allows me to utilize my project management and logistic skills while serving seniors and people in the community who need help.

In addition to the experience I bring to the business, I hold an MBA from Lynn University, a Master’s Certificate in Project Management, am Six Sigma Green Belt Certified, and am a Certified Relocation and Transition Specialist, a designation bestowed by an independent organization that evaluates providers of senior relocation services.
