Boston HeadShots

Unfortunately I did not check the filtered reviews at the bottom which was pretty much a pitch from someone who either works here or is related to them. I needed a headshot photographer for our office staff who could be accommodating, efficient and confident but what a let down. Our marketing lady who knows more about photography than I do raised an eyebrow at the prices and I guess you get what you pay for. We were shocked when we finally took a peek at the website. None of the peoples pictures looked consistent and we should have paid more attention to that. We can’t figure out why there are bizarre circles in the eyes, harsh shadows behind some, and one of the business head shot photos has a strange glow around it that looks artificial. For our website photos that we would also be using on LinkedIn and for press releases, we couldn’t afford to have that much variation. I’m so glad someone with a creative eye could see the difference. Gavin who is the owner was short and snippy on the phone when we raised concerns about this. I am guessing if we went forward with this type of budget studio it could have cost me my job and the company twice the expense of having to get the pictures of us all redone at a place that offers the modern kind of corporate headshots.

My experience at Boston HeadShots was exceptional. Before any flashbulb Gavin took the time to really understand where and how the pictures would be used — he was clearly committed to taking a great photo but placed equal emphasis on understanding the purpose behind the photo so that the style and approach matched its purpose. For the camera shy, Gavin is a helpful person to have in your corner, his calm and friendly demeanor allowed the time and coaching needed to get to a natural state. I highly recommend Boston HeadShots for businesses and individuals.

Gavin was great to work with (and I’m very nit picky). He understood the style of photo I was aiming for and was very good at «coaching» me to get really nice natural shots. His demeanor put me at ease. He also has super fast turnaround time. All in all, highly recommend!

I worked with Gavin at Boston HeadShots for a professional headshot to great results. He really knew how to bring out a variety of different expressions and looks — helping me to look confident and authoritative in certain shots and more fun in other shots. Essentially, it might sound cliché, but he’s great at bringing out the real you in the shots while still making it look professional.
