CrossFit Jeffries Point

This is exactly what I found at CrossFit Jeffries Point signing on as one of their first clients. After speaking to the Head Coach and bombarding him with question after question AFTER question. I purchased a private package while regularly attending classes. Never one to be a novice, I immediately wanted to become familiar with the fundamentals of crossfit style workouts. I was ready to finally commit myself to getting in shape and the results I wanted. Not only do I receive expert coaching and guidance get to my fitness goals, I also benefit from a 360 degree approach to fitness with premium service catered to my INDIVIDUAL skills and goals. I am in the best shape I have been in my adult life. #TRUTH

I joined CJP a little over 3 months ago and can’t imagine returning to a traditional gym. I am a 40 year old working mom and in only three months have my pre-​baby body back and am now part of a community based fitness regiment. The coaches are friendly and caring and will scale the workout to your personal fitness level, no need to feel intimidated. Everyone in the classes are from the neighborhood and very supportive of each other. I can’t say enough wonderful things about Crossfit Jeffries Point. If you are remotely curious try a class for free and hopefully you will find it to be a great addition to your daily/​weekly scheudle.

I signed up for CJP the day it opened in Eastie — September 15, 2014. It was my birthday and my boyfriend, Sean, decided that we had had enough of half-​arsing our sporadic workouts at the YMCA. Both of us knew that we needed more direction, harder workouts and someone to hold us accountable.
So, we both signed up for the 6-​month package, which is ending in just a couple weeks. I have to say, I love it. We already signed on for another year.
I was very intimidated at first, not being a true athlete or someone with a strong passion for sweating, but that quickly faded. The coaches at CJP are knowledgeable, friendly, funny and certainly motivating. Even from the first day I was there, Javy could tell that I sit at my desk all day and could identify which areas I may need to work on to better my technique.
I was also hesitant at first to try CrossFit because I was afraid I may injure myself. All my friends who love it told me that it entirely depended on the coach. Well, these coaches at CJP do a great job of pushing you, but not to where you’re uncomfortable. The members are real people who want to get healthier and stronger and each one has a sense of humor (thank GAWD!)
For the first few months, my boyfriend and I have gone about 2 – 3 times a week with some breaks in between for travel and generally being lame. Even with that limited amount of time, I had never seen results so quickly. Not anything where people on the street will notice, but I definitely notice. If I reach my goal of getting there more frequently, I can’t wait to see what will change! For the first time in a long time, I’m not afraid of beach season.
We recently tried a paleo challenge through CJP as well and so far I’ve lost a few pounds, which I had thought was impossible for the past three years that I’ve lived here in Eastie. I also have way more energy and my mood is much better. It really does go hand in hand — being healthy and eating right. I am thankful that they encouraged us to try the program because I am awed by it’s benefits.
