Excellent auto service across the board.
I lived near D&D Auto Service for years without ever realizing they were there. There’s a sign on Dot Ave. for the shop but like many things in the Andrew Square area, you just don’t pay attention to it. The hydraulic line on my front brakes had sprung a leak and I needed a local shop, google pointed me to D&D (which was surprisingly on top of my apartment according to the map…). I was lucky.
I brought the car in and Steve (owner/​mechanic) found the leak immediately. He had it fixed within a couple hours for under $ 80 bucks.
I then took my truck to D&D several times for various issues thereafter, every time Steve fixed the problem quickly and well under my expected cost.
Anyone in the South Boston /​Dorchester area would do well to go to D&D Auto. It’s good to have a mechanic you can trust.

The tire on my lovely 1997 Honda Civic went flat (I accidentaly drove over a nail). I went to D&D, the nerest auto repair shop to me. I asked Steve (the owner) to fix the tire and check the car out in general as I have owned it for a year and hadn’t gotten the brakes etc. checked since.
He checked everything, plugged the tire and called me to say that all I needed was an oil change. Total cost for plugging the tire and changing the oil was $ 31.95. Considering Jiffy Lube charged me $ 28 for just an oil change in the past, I think D&D gave me a pretty good deal. Plus, D&D could have made up some defect about the car and I would have believed him and paid for it, but they didn’t. So, hurray to Steve and D&D Auto Service in general.
