Esquire Moving & Storage

We recently hired Esquire to move us from a 2 bedroom townhome in Salem, MA to a single family home in Carlisle, MA (with a 9 night storage requirement due to the separation of our two closings). I had read many positive reviews on Unilocal and gave them a call and, from when I first spoke with Yury, I had a good feeling about the company. Yury was friendly, efficient and also offered pricing that seemed very reasonable both for the move and the storage. When we went to confirm Esquire as our choice, we filled out the official booking form on their web site. This was the only snag. Even though I had correctly inputted our delivery date on the form, the confirmatory email from Esquire had the incorrect delivery date and I missed catching the mistake when I reviewed it. In any case, the pick-​up day went incredibly smoothly with their crew of 3 men and they handled our home (corners, banisters, etc) and our moving items with extreme care and with lots of padding and shrink wrap. I had zero concern that anything would be broken or dinged-​up. It was within this 9 day window that we discovered the mistake on the delivery date. Despite clearly being double booked for that «correct» delivery date, Yury ended up working his magic and was able to personally be there along with two other men in the crew to make sure we we’re moved in as expected. As expected, everything was delivered in perfect condition and they worked efficiently to reassemble the larger items that they had disassembled back in Salem.
I would definitely use Esquire again personally and would certainly recommend their services to others considering a move.

I had never used a moving company for previous moves so even after reading great reviews I wasn’t sure what to expect. I am so happy I went with Esquire. I was so impressed with everything from the customer service to how quickly and efficiently they worked to how reasonable their prices are. My move could not have gone better and they were a pleasure to do business with. I highly recommend and would not even consider using a different company in the future.

Incredibly efficient and so reasonably priced. Their movers packed everything with care, worked very quickly, and were very considerate. They were very easy to work with, and I plan to hire them again the next time I need to move. I would absolutely recommend hiring Esquire Moving!

Yuri and Tim were great. Although they couldn’t control every variable (parking, previous job, traffic, etc.), they were very proactive in their communication. They were very careful and fast with the furniture — very difficult to obtain. Would definitely use them again and give my highest recommendations for friends and family in Boston.

What a company!!! I have never enjoyed moving but these guys made my move so easy that it was actually an enjoyable experience!
We have a lot of stuff and some of it is really delicate. The guys wrapped everything and moved quickly. When we were all done there wasn’t a scratch to be found!!! Speed and care now that is what I call awesome.

Had Yury move me from Boston to DC with a stop to drop off furniture in NJ, and they were fantastic! Hassle free scheduling, showed up on time, were very thorough, and had a great attitude. They were cheaper that most of the other quotes I received, and I would definitely use them again!

I had a 9 am move on Memorial Day – they showed up on time, exactly at 9 am. They called beforehand to make sure everything was ready. They worked efficiently and quickly and I was impressed. At the move-​in site, they hoisted my bed to the third floor – all unexpectedly. It went over smooth and they hardly batted an eye.
Very professional and kind guys. I recommend them again and again. Moving is so stressful and weird, and it wasn’t this time around. Thank you so much!

Blew me away.
I was so impressed by the 3-​man team that moved my belongings from Watertown to Wellfleet. Esquire called a few days in advance to confirm the move and the foreman called 15 minutes before arrival so I was relaxed and not worried about a no-​show. They were so organized during the move — bringing all of the (clean!) moving blankets, etc. They had cool wraps for all of the railings and door frames and carrying bags for mattresses!
They loaded the truck fast and never slacked off for a moment. They carefully wrapped everything (though I thought the shrink-​wrapping was overkill) and everything arrived safely. They were pleasant and professional the entire day. And then they left to do another job! At least 2 of them could snooze on the drive back to Boston from the Cape.

Awesome service! Nice guys and really great experience! Made my move from Arlington to Medford right in the estimated time, were curious and careful with my belongings. Honest management that not ripping you off. Truly customer oriented company. Best!

Recently moved from Boston to Nh, and these guys were great. We moved from a three bedroom apartment on the third floor to a home. The three guys that helped us move were amazing. They arrived early and never once saw them stop working. They took very good care of all our belongs and paid extra special attention to the walls and doors during moving. As we all know moving sucks but these guys made a lot more manageable, well worth the money and they aren’t even on the expensive side. I would recommend them to anyone who is moving!

Last week we’ve moved from Norwood to Waltham. I’ve been searching for a moving company on Unilocal,and after reading couple of good reviews about Esquire, I decided to go with them. What can I say — Great Job !!! As the other Unilocalers have mentioned, the guys were on time, organized and did everything perfect. The most important thing — they care about your goods !!! No damages or scratches at all. If you are moving and you have doubts about what company to use for it — go with these guys !!! Thank you Esquire !

I totally recommend this moving company, they were very professionals. Since the beginning, I received personal service and during the moving day they assembled all my furniture in 1 hour and a half. They took care of the building common areas, as well as all the stuff and worked very efficient and quickly.

These guys are awesome. Packed quickly and efficiently. They were very careful and nothing was broken during the move. Will use them again for my next move for sure. Plus, my girlfriend found them all quite attractive so that was a plus for her.

We have moved 4 times in the last 2 years and Esquire was by far the best and most professional and the only one I would use again.
First, they are very reliable. I needed to move my household goods from my apt in the South End and a storage unit into our new home in Brookline and they told me they could accommodate my last minute request to move my apartment but not my storage unit. So this review is only for my move from my apt into our new home. What made Esquire outstanding?
1. Professional and polite. They showed pride in their work. They were very professional and worked as a team — making sure they were careful with our belongings.
2. Extremely careful. They put down protective covers at origin and destination to protect furniture, walls, stairs, floors, etc. They also communicated extremely well with each other to be sure they didn’t damage anything.
3. Worked at good pace. They didn’t rush and they didn’t slack. They worked at a good pace and took time to strategize and plan next steps.
4. Customer service oriented. They asked where we wanted our belongings at destination and carefully put them there. Our home has four floors so some of our household goods went up to forth floor and that was fine with them. They also put our beds together and moved them from one place in the room to another. They were very patient and customer service oriented. They made us feel like we didn’t need to be rushed and that we could take our time making decisions. And, if we decided to move something into another room, they gladly moved it.
I could go on and on but suffice it to say — these guys were the BEST. My ONLY regret is that I didn’t wait to move my household goods from storage into our home a few days later when these guys could do it. Instead, I used The Other Guys Moving Company and they were a complete disaster. Basically, the opposite of Esquire.
I appreciate the excellent work, Esquire. Keep it up. People who move need more positive moving experiences so thanks for proving moving doesn’t need to be a bad experience.

The best moving experience I’ve ever had was with Esquire. They were on time. They had everything they needed to protect our furniture. They loaded and unloaded everything quickly and efficiently, all while being courteous and professional.
I can’t recommend them enough. I don’t plan on moving again, but if I did I would certainly call esquire.

Esquire moved my family of 3 from our Lowell, MA three bedroom, third floor apartment to our two floor house in Providence, RI. They kept our belongings in their storage facility for 5 nights, and sent 3 guys to load and unload. We were met with the most competitive and affordable prices in the Boston area.
My husband and I found out we needed to move out of our apartment into our new home with two days notice. We’ve never hired movers before but with this time crunch we figured we might as well relieve some of our stress. However as new homeowners we didn’t want to spend $ 1700 for a one way move with 3 guys (this was an actual quote we received — yikes.)
We called at least 7 moving companies to get some last minute quotes. Some companies required us to fill out lengthy applications before they could even give us a quote. With all of our packing we had to do while chasing around our 1 year old that’s the last thing I had time for. I was so pleased to hear from Yury within 30 minutes of putting in my request on Unilocal.He was straight forward, walked me through the pricing and expectations. We hired them on the spot.
He called to confirm the day before, called when they were 30 minutes away from our apartment on the day of, and they even arrived 5 minutes early.
They were so fast, diligent, efficient, professional, polite, careful, nice, and so pleasant to work with. All of our furniture was professionally wrapped, and handled with care. They ran up and down 3 flights of stairs with no complaints while in high spirits (even when it started snowing!), and they didn’t slow down once. We trusted them with all of our possessions so much that we even decided to keep our tvs with them for the 5 days in storage.
I have never had a pleasant moving experience in my life until last week. We plan on staying in our house for a very long time, but you can bet I’ll be recommending them to everyone we know.

Moving is the worst but Esquire Moving is THE BEST. Period.
Without a doubt, the best moving experience I’ve ever had. I had requested a price quote online late one night and received a call promptly the next morning to walk through pricing. The pricing was super competitive (actually less than I thought it would be) so I booked it immediately. I also received a call the day before my move to confirm, as well as a call one half hour before they arrived (which was right on time).
I had a two man crew to move my one bedroom apartment in Waltham (third floor, crazy narrow stairways, nightmare) and they were moving machines. Yury and Alex took all of my stuff out the kitchen window and down the fire escape (see: nightmare) and it was like they had done it a million times. They were extremely conscientious and careful with wrapping furniture and I really appreciated the fact that all materials (tape, etc.) were included in the price. I also have no idea how they got my couch out, they might be wizards.
When they got to my temporary home in Wakefield, they unloaded the expertly packed truck (it was like Tetris in there!) very quickly and the move actually took less time than anticipated, lowering the already low cost.
Yury and Alex were incredibly nice and professional, and I only wish they did cross-​country moves so I could hire them for my next step too.
I will be recommending them to all of my family and friends, and also to you. Just call them now, it’s worth it.

2) The day of the move they called 30 minutes before to give me a heads-​up of their arrival.
3) Arrived on time.
4) Packed and protected my furniture professionally.

There are two things I dread in life: going to the dentist and having to move. Every moving experience I have ever had has made me wonder if I would rather re-​sprout wisdom teeth and have them plucked out by Dracula or move my life to a new place… every experience until now.
I was tremendously impressed by Esquire. John and his crew moved us professionally and so efficiently that they made my Dracula would-​you-​rathers obsolete. They wrapped every piece of our furniture and made sure that our fragiles weren’t stacked under the heavier boxes of books.
I’m not going to claim I’m looking forward to my next move but at least I’m not dreading it as much as the dentist. Thanks, Esquire!

We recently relocated from our one bedroom apartment in Brighton to Allston and could not be more happy than dealing with Esquire Moving Company. It was the first time we used movers and I swear I’m not gonna move by myself never again. Will call straight to these guys next time. Highly appreciate their quality service.
