They were on time, very careful, and provided some much-​needed expertise (what needed to be secured before it could be moved, how to put my bed back together again, etc.). They moved my one bedroom in just over two hours, and at a great price point, too. Highly recommend!

This is the first time I have written a review on Unilocal,but Exela Movers deserves it. After having to cancel another moving company due to a change on the closing of my house, I was stuck with no movers at the end of August in the Boston area. I came upon Exela through Unilocal and called them. They had someone cancel on them at the last minute, so I immediately put down a deposit and scheduled them within the next few days. They showed up to my apartment on time (in fact about 15 minutes early) and immediately went to work. They had my entire apartment packed up, drove north to Portsmouth, and unpacked the truck placing the furniture exactly where I needed it in less than 4 hours (plus no damage to any of the furniture or my new house). They were extremely efficient and very professional. The final price was even a bit less than quoted! I have hired movers before, but they were by far the best.

I recently used Elexa Movers to help me move some furniture within my home after a renovation project. There were two guys who prompt and very professional. Several of the furniture pieces they moved were extremely large and very heavy, but they managed them with ease. They communicated clearly through email and were very responsive — and they even took Amex! I would definitely use them again — by far the best movers we’ve used to date.

I’ve never used a moving company, but I’m so happy I decided to go with Exela. A co-​worker recommended them and they were excellent. They arrived to my pick-​up location early and were super speedy. They finished on time, no damage to my furniture, and were very friendly. I couldn’t stop talking about them to my friends. Highly recommended!

My parents moved twice in the last year months. The first move was with a different company to a temporary house and they damaged a few big furniture pieces and dinged the walls. By the time the second move came around, we called a few different companies. I was a little weary at first but only because moving seems to be one of those things that never goes right. I’m only writing a review today because we went with Exela and they actually made the whole process pretty painless. They quoted us a price and stuck to it. There were no surprise charges in the end and they were always so nice to us. We even went out and bought lunch for the crew and made sure to keep them hydrated because they rarely took breaks. I didn’t feel like they were taking advantage of us and that was a pretty huge concern of ours based on our previous experience. Overall, they were fast and didn’t damage anything, we were happy!

OMG. These guys were SO good. I moved from JP to Roslindale and from the first phone call they were nothing but friendly, helpful, and professional. First of all, they picked up the phone! I was calling around to 3 other moving companies, and Exela were the only ones to pick up the phone. Alexe gave me a quote within a day. He asked if I needed help packing too! I needed boxes, so he had his guys drive over a ton of boxes the next day! You have to buy them of course, but couriered service is rare and amazing. I had a ton of stuff and these guys were so great and fast and never complained and were courteous throughout the whole process. They listened to me and made sure things were going in the right spots. They packed my last minute art and lamps without a hassle. I even tried to carry something up the stairs and one of the guys grabbed it from me and said «hey, don’t worry, I’ll get that!» It was all just so flawless. Great experience.

Guys did a great job. Wrapped everything that needed to be wrapped and got almost everything in the truck. They did everything I asked and even disassembled the funrniture.

We just moved from a large house on the Main Line near Philadelphia to Back Bay in Boston. I have heard so many moving horror stories that I was worried about each step. Alexe the owner was very informative and helpful throughout the process. He was always responsive, whether I phoned or emailed. The movers packed us up in Philly — they did such a good job that *nothing* was broken. They worked tirelessly and were pleasant and polite always. Although I knew I was downsizing and had to get rid of many things, we still ended up with many, many more boxes than anticipated. Alexe quickly arranged a second truck for us, and both trucks delivered the same day as scheduled, on time. I was very appreciative the the moving guys patience and professionalism throughout the process. And, we found the price to be extremely reasonable — quote was much lower than some other Boston movers. I am one happy customer and would not hesitate to recommend Exela movers to a friend. Clearly this is a company that gets customer service and delivered — literally!

I had to move within a week and I was having trouble finding a moving company that had an open time slot that would work for me. Luckily I found Exela Movers and they were able to fit me into their busy schedule. The movers were on time and didn’t waste any time moving my furniture and boxes. They made sure to wrap everything up and were extra careful with my stuff. They were also extremely quick and efficient. They moved all my things out of my one bedroom apartment and into my my new apartment in less than two hours. I’m very happy that I chose Exela Movers and would highly recommend them to anyone. I have to echo the comments from the guy below me: Moving is never fun. It’s time consuming, laborious, and out right dreadful. I have moved a total of 5 times and this was the first time that the moving process was hassle free and actually quite enjoyable, mainly because I didn’t have to do anything. These guys did everything, start to finish. They showed up on time, are very professional, fun and friendly, and most importantly they do a very good job. They packed all of my belongings and moved me in a few hours. Nothing was damaged. One of the biggest selling points is that they may have some of the lowest prices in Boston, so not only do they making moving hassle-​free, you don’t have to break the bank to do it.
In the future, I plan to use them any time I move because they are that good. If you are like me and hate moving or have had bad experiences with movers, please believe me when I say that these guys are the real deal and you won’t regret your decision. I rarely write reviews (but I’m always on Unilocal reading reviews of companies that I’m going to interact with). I had to write this review because I felt that strongly.

I’m not one to write reviews usually, but moving is something I hate to do (who loves it?). In my younger days I did a the moves with just some friends, but with my parents moving from Atlanta to Connecticut, I did not want to take on the task myself. Enter exela movers. These guys were amazing. I made a quick call, got a quote based on estimate I provided and the best part was that they stuck to it. I’ve heard of horror stories of moving companies charging way over the initial estimate. They were on time (which is critical especially with an interstate move) and they were very careful with all the furniture! I did not have to worry about a thing.
I highly recommend exela. If you need to move something, give these guys a call.

Exela movers helped me with a difficult 4^th floor, narrow staircase, last minute move– and were awesome. They took great care of my furniture, were friendly, professional, and punctual.
