Great guys, always willing to talk shop and walk you through a repair or upgrade. Honest guys doing honest work. I took my moped in for a complete rebuild/​tune and everything came out great. It runs perfect and apparently they did too good of a job because it’s now significantly faster than I’d like. They also fixed a bunch of other small things that I didn’t even know was an issue until I brought it in including an annoying throttle cable pinch point that I thought was a worn out throttle assembly. They fixed it with a $ 5 part instead of $ 60. If you have a moped that needs some love bring it here.

If you have a vintage 70’s or 80’s pedal type moped, and can’t do the maintenance yourself then this is the ultimate place for you to get to know. Quinn, Ian, and Justin are 3 of the most well versed moped mechanics in the entire country at this point. They have fixed hundreds of mopeds, rare, and common. They also carry all sorts of brilliant insights into promoting a moped’s continued operation.
Firstly, the guys here are all kinds of honest. They are dedicated and timely. I have seen them often charge customers less than quoted for the repair they ended up doing.
On top of that, when you walk in you will feel welcome. They are very friendly and nice, and there is no pretense, and no expectation of what you do or don’t know about your moped. They will give you detailed explanations of what broke on your moped to you in detailed terms, and give you reasons why it could have happened. I have seen them SO many times when they have free time teaching or helping others to fix their own mopeds.
In addition to being super nice guys, all of these guys have the specialized tools and knowledge to fix your rare vintage moped. They also have what it takes to make crazy fast custom mopeds, if you’re into that sort of thing.
They have lots of the most common wear parts for mopeds in stock most of the time. Lucky 2 strokes generally has things like belts, tires, used stock moped parts, moped kits, helmets, and controls they have regularly.
All of these guys live, sleep, eat, and breathe mopeds. When they go home? they think about mopeds. When they go out on friday night? They talk about mopeds. When they get an occasional weekend free from working on customer bikes, they go to local moped rallies, or track events.
The guys at the shop are committed on a very high level. The guys here are experts, and do a brilliant service to the moped community as a whole, keeping everyone flush with fresh obscure moped parts, to keep everyone’s bikes running.
Being right at the center of the moped community, they also know hundreds of people who have mopeds for sale, hordes of unusual NOS parts, and other moped experts in other parts of the country to bounce the hard-​issues off of.
Support your local moped shop! Or they won’t be there when you need them the most.
It is my opinion that, if you have something that isn’t a quite a moped, you could bring it by for the immensely mechanically inclined crew to take a look at, but their core competency is really super focused on quality moped repair. They could probably fix anything if they put their mind to it, but they definitely have specific expertise in mopeds. I’m not sure if they repair chinese scooters, or a pitbikes. Maybe just mopeds.

They have a good shop-​phone but honestly who uses a phone anymore? Your grandpa? They’re very busy on top of that, so if they’re on the phone already then it goes to voicemail and all of that. The guys are mechanics, not secretaries. In my experience they are extra receptive to the facebook messages.

These guys are awesome! I asked them to put together a vintage Puch for my father’s birthday and they far exceeded my expectations. They worked long and hard and I have to say did an awesome job! I would highly recommend using these guys over the cheap new mopeds and scooters out there. They love what they do and it shows with the quality of work!

Most shops around Boston won’t take vintage mopeds, but Lucky will fix almost anything with a two-​stroke engine, and they’ll do it right. Good luck getting ahold of them. I attempted several times to have them look at my old peds and they kept putting it off. I was willing to spend the money, but they just weren’t willing to work. I ended up driving all the way to Newport RI to find someone to work on my ped and he worked on it quickly and it is ruining great.
