Mobsters & Lobsters Trolley Tour

We took this tour last night for a corporate outing of 30 people after a long week of meetings. I can’t say how thankful I am for going with my gut and booking this tour. Tom and Victoria were wonderful and we had such an amazing time seeing the city and taking in all of their knowledge and fun facts about this beautiful city. I think what stood out the most with these two is that their stories don’t just come from things they had read, they live and breathe the city of Boston, it’s culture and its history and this tour proves it. This is a great way to see the city up close on this comfy and open trolley. Sitting up high gives you a better view of what Tom and Victoria are telling you about and they take the time to stop places and really allow you to get a good view of the city and everything it has to offer.
After our tour, they took us to an amazing lobster dinner at Venezia which exceeded our expectations as well. I highly recommend this tour for any large group looking to explore this beautiful city. Thank you Tom and Victoria for your promptness, your knowledge and wonderful sense of humor.

Just took the tour and it was fantastic! Learned a lot but more importantly had a good time. Crazy to hear all of the history of Boston and the mob. Graves, garages and gangsters… you have to take the your to find out the connection. Great history lesson and fun company! Thank you!

I was in town for a small conference, and our local host arranged for the group to do «Mobsters and Lobsters». The driver (owner?), Tom, was an excellent story teller, and seemed to really enjoy telling all of us about the history of Boston’s shadier elements. Despite the weather, everyone seemed to have a good time. The restaurant, Venezia (?) surprised me… for the better. The clam chowder was really excellent, and the lobster also really good. Given the size of our crowd (~30), I was very impressed with the service.

Fantastic tour for a company team event. We were picked up at Harpoon brewery and Tom was very entertaining and a great tour guide. Great city tour in general and you really get a vibe of the city with all the cars honking and screaming at the trolley. Lobster dinner was great at a nice restaurant with great views. Insight into the city you cant find in any tour books.

We did this tour as a team building event. It was very informative and entertaining. The ends of the night is capped off with an excellent 4 course meal with the main course being a choice of Lobster (of course), steak or chicken parmigiana. The entire tour & meal takes about 3 hours. Great time.

Had a phenomenal time on the tour. Family was out from So Cal and a large group of us took the tour. Tom the tour guide would tell stories that made you feel like you were living in that time. The detail and knowledge Tom has of the city in 2^nd to none. We have taken many tours in Boston and the Mobsters and Lobsters was hands down the best tour of all. For anyone looking for an in depth history of the city and mob culture I’d highly recommend it for anyone (including children).

Where can I begin — Tom. Collins. What an incredible tour guide! Tom was SO knowledgeable, entertaining, and accommodating! He took our group on a wonderful tour and told us lesser known (more interesting) stories about Boston heists and mobsters. Victoria the lobster served everyone drinks throughout the tour and made sure everyone was happy. Our whole group had a wonderful time — the Mobsters & Lobsters team was so easy to work with. Thank you Mobsters & Lobsters for an unforgettable evening!

Where do I even begin? Being a 100% Italian with some basic knowledge and a whole lot of interest in the Italian mob, I had high expectations for this tour. Let me just say, Tom Collins and the Boston Trolley Tour company shattered those expectations! From the very moment you step on the trolley, you’re greeted by the one and only Tom Collins (and yes, that is his real name). Tom is a funny guy with a serious Boston accent who knows his stuff. In fact, I’ve never been more interested in hearing someone talk for an entire hour straight than I was during our tour. Tom takes you throughout Boston, into Southie and finally you end up at the lovely Venezia restaurant on the water in Dorchester. Being a Dorchester resident, I’ve already had the pleasure of frequenting the Venezia but for those of you who haven’t been… this is the icing on the already delicious cake. Overall, the fun, interesting tour combined with the delicious dinner at the end is everything you could ask for and more in an event. I would do it again with a more rowdy crowd (since I was with co-​workers this go around) but I would reccommend it for any group looking for a good time.
