Lots of people «know» landscaping, but this lady KNOWS plants and how they affect the environment. She knows the impact of landscape maintenance and tries to keep her maintenance as earth-​friendly and as GREEN as possible. Minimal fertilizer and water are key in her vision. The unique niche Offshoots has is using plants to remove toxins both from soil and wastewater, otherwise known as phytoremediation. You can feel proud if you choose to marry your vision for your space with hers.

It’s a unique experience to have a Cornell/​Harvard educated consultant for a landscape project. Credentials aside, Kate has a very engaging approach. She helped us design a large roofdeck in the Back Bay. After listening to our design ideas and preferences, she created 3 different architectural layouts, beautifully organized with recommended furniture, planters, and trees/​flowers.
We were blown away by Kate’s knowledge of architecture, all things green, and design !
