It’s not a coincidence that all you see here is 5-​star reviews for Steph — she is simply amazing! Steph produces timeless, classic wedding photos and has a great eye for composition and lighting. When my husband and I first met Steph for our consultation, we knew we had to hire her for our wedding day. We love her energy, passion, artistic vision, attention to details, professionalism, and the list goes on. Steph spent 12 hours with us on our wedding day (we celebrated three different wedding traditions), and within 24 hours, she posted a «sneak peek» of 50+ photos; in 2.5 weeks, she sent us our fully edited photos (all 1,854 of them!!) as well as a slideshow of her top 300 photos. Our families and friends have also told us how Steph and Ben were amazing throughout our wedding day, and everyone of course loves all the photos that we’ve shared. Hiring Steph was the best decision we made for our wedding!

I can’t even begin to say enough good things about Steph. She’s friendly, organized, professional, energetic, and most importantly a super talented photographer. Starting from the engagement session we had with her in Boston, I knew she was the right fit for our wedding. She got my fiancé and I comfortable in front of the camera, and also made a point to get to know us, and what we envisioned for our wedding photos to come. In the months leading up to our wedding, she kept me on track with planning out the day and what photos would be a priority (including a lot of tips to help me get there!).
The day of the wedding (which was ~4 hours from her home in MA, in upstate NY-​thanks again for traveling to us!) Steph showed up bright and early to shoot me and my bridesmaids getting ready. She wasn’t overwhelmed at all by the 8 bridesmaids, revolving door of family friends/​florists/​hair stylists/​make-​up artists, or SIX dogs that were running around. Heck, she even took some glamour shots of my dogs, which my husband and I had told her all about during the engagement shoot. She was positive and smiling throughout that morning, when I’m sure most people would’ve been sending out death stares. :) Her husband was also simultaneously shooting at a different location to capture my husband and his groomsmen getting ready. The fact that they were able to logistically do both for us was huge, and I love that we have both sets of photos now.
I felt like Steph was not only our wedding photographer, but also wedding planner to an extent that day. She kept everyone on schedule and moving along to the right places, while simultaneously getting every shot that she and I had talked about in our planning sessions — many of which I honestly forgot with all of craziness of my wedding day.
Now onto the photos — Steph is just simply amazing. I abhor the cheesy wedding pictures (jumping bridal party, staring longingly into your bouquet, etc.) and was very nervous about finding the right photographer that wouldn’t suggest or push for those. Steph was on the same page as me, and listened to my ideas and also suggested new things I hadn’t thought of. As I mentioned above, she was able to direct everyone involved in the wedding to get the best possible photos. I think I can speak for our entire bridal party when I say that she and Ben made everyone feel comfortable in front of the camera, and were a general pleasure to be around.
Following our wedding, Steph sent us a SUPER cute brag book of sorts which was totally unexpected and sweet. The final images (and I’m talking hundreds) were delivered in beautiful packaging and honestly captured EVERYTHING. I couldn’t be happier with our experience with Steph, or the photos she delivered. Steph did a set of family portraits in-​studio for me, and it was just an all-​around great experience. She did such a wonderful job putting my (camera-​shy) parents at ease, and the photos she took were super lovely. Everything that’s been said about Steph here is true. We had family portraits taken at a beautiful park that she suggested and the pictures came out amazing. We loved how the photos looked and we ended up buying the entire set of digital images… we couldn’t choose just a few! She put everyone at ease and we ended up laughing through the entire shoot.
Also I have to give major props to her for being so flexible and understanding when I accidentally scheduled the shoot for the wrong date — I realized this just hours before we were supposed to meet (oops!) but she was really sweet about it and gave up her off-​day to accommodate us.

I cannot even begin to explain how pleased we were with not only our wedding photos, but the photos from our engagement session. Steph certainly has an eye for the details and for capturing the moments of the day that you didn’t even know happened. Our photos really share the story of our day, of us as a couple, and of our friends and family who were there to share in the day with us. From capturing the details of the venue, the flowers, the dresses, the décor, the rings, etc. to capturing those moments shared among friends, family, and loved ones, Steph (and Ben, her husband, and second photographer) nailed it!

Fully understanding that this review could turn into a novel, I will do my best to keep it brief.
Simply put: I COULD NOT HAVE IMAGINED MY WEDDING WITHOUT STEPHANIE.
Although I currently live in CA, my husband and I are from MA and got married in Belmont in June 2011. Trying to plan a wedding is tough enough, but trying to do it from 3,000 miles away was really tough, and I knew I would not be able to meet most of my vendors until the week preceding the wedding. So, where to start? Unilocal,of course.
I found a handful of photographers that looked interesting, and after going through websites, pricing, etc., I pretty much had picked Steph. But, to be diligent, I set up a call with her, and we spoke for about an hour. She happily gave me the contact information for several references, all of whom I called. If my conversation with her wasn’t enough to convince me that she was the right photog, the *g-​l-​o-​w-​i-​n-​g* recommendations from her references nailed it home. Every person I spoke to said «You cannot have your wedding without her.»
Everything about Stephanie is beyond expectations. As a person, she is kind, pleasant, understanding, thoughtful, funny, and bright. As a photographer, she is creative, adaptable, quick, and reliable. Wrap all that into a price tag that is at least half of what comparable photographers charge, and choosing her is simply a no brainer.

I detest having my photo taken so I felt very anxious about needing a professional photo taken but Steph immediately put me at ease. I’m clueless about how to pose for pictures so it was super helpful that we reviewed photos as we went along to figure out what to aim for. She walked me through the whole process and by the end I had a variety of great pictures to choose from. I couldn’t be happier!

Steph Stevens is a true find in the photography world. My fiancé and I had been looking for a photographer for our wedding for several months, and were incredibly fortunate to have found her. Steph is a true professional in every sense of the word, and as an added extra, has a wonderfully positive, upbeat personality, and is incredibly creative in her work. We had a pre-​wedding shoot in which we got accustomed to her style and she got a great sense of what we were looking for in our wedding photos, and it showed in both the pre-​wedding shoot and the wedding itself. She took the time necessary to get a deeper sense for our individual preferences than one would expect.
Prior to the wedding, not only did she see the venue with us to get a sense of what was available at the facility and in the surrounding area, but she went hiking with us in the area to scope out additional photo opportunities! During the wedding itself, she was always available, and at the same time, invisible. She is exceptionally creative and it showed in all of the work that she had done for us. We had our wedding and reception just as Hurricane Irene was making its presence known, and had a wide variety of weather conditions with which she made extraordinary use of. Her work is spectacular, creative, delivered far more timely than we would have expected, and very creatively formatted. Many people have seen our photos and thought they were exceptional, very creative, and not standard run of the mill wedding photos.
To accent the quality of her work, she has a very engaging personality which is extremely infectious, and puts you at ease with every step of the process. She makes significant effort to acquaint herself with your style and find what you are looking for, and then augments this with her creativity. She takes the time to provide an incredibly high caliber product. Additionally, the cost was very competitive, and in most cases, better than that of most of her competitors.
After the experience we had with Steph, we would HIGHLY recommend her and we will continue to use her for any and all photography needs in the future, as well as recommend her to anyone in need of a photographer. I wish we could give her more than 5 stars with this review, as that was the quality of the product she delivered and our experience with her. She greatly exceeded all of our expectations, and is a wonderful, fun, creative, and engaging individual to work with.

Steph is a phenomenal photographer. I went to her looking to take casual/​professional shots that I could use in my social-​media-​focused job. We started by brainstorming ideas — I was impressed that she was able to take my preference for a few sample images and create into beautiful, unique photos that fit my personality perfectly.
I was a bit nervous about the shoot itself but Steph made me feel instantly comfortable in front of the camera. She was positive and relaxed throughout the session and though I couldn’t always tell what she had up her sleeve, it was clear she was in complete control, which made me feel like I could relax and be creative. I was surprised at just how much I enjoyed the shoot.
Business-​wise, Steph is the perfect blend of professional and personal. She has a wonderful personality — both friendly and energetic — responds to emails promptly, turns photos around quickly (she had sample shots from my shoot to me within 24 hours!) and gave me a huge variety of shots that went far beyond what I hoped for. Everything about Steph reflects her true passion, dedication, and commitment to surpassing expectations. I couldn’t recommend someone more highly.

I am a touch critic when it comes to photography, and I have to say I was extremely impressed by our final photos. The day of our shoot was over 90 degress, but Steph put us in a great mood and was able to help us relax and just have fun. She was easy to talk to and even managed to get an awesome picture of our dog. More than happy with our finished family photos and can’t wait to book another session down the road! You will not be disappointed.

I don’t even know where to begin to start describing how great the experience of working with Steph is.
Most weddings I’ve gone to the photographers were chosen through referrals but the pictures never made me say WOW. Before I found Steph the process of looking consisted of me going on the photographers website and if I saw anything I would not do in life, I’d move on. (Staring into a bouquet — why?)
Wedding photography always looked like a a simple documentary of the day. I wanted something more modern and forward thinking but couldn’t find anything that wasn’t starting at $ 10k.
I’ve only got a sneak preview of my pics and literally everyone who’s seen them comments «I need to see more!» or «I am so jealous». Steph told me the first time we met «it’s my job to make you look good» and she really delivers on it. She’ll start with asking you your aesthetic, your taste, likes/​dislikes along with the type of person you are, your personality and what you do for fun. You just feel comfortable around her — there is no trying to figure her out. She is a total sweetheart, hard working and readily accessible. I had people comment during our wedding «doesn’t she ever stop»! In a good way of course. people wanted to make sure she ate and drank and wasn’t going to faint. Though working a long 9 hour straight day — she never frowns, yawns, complains, or act intrusive in ANY way. You simply look up and notice her everywhere snapping moments you didn’t realize you were having. During the course of the day she organized our very large families into our must have posed moments, as well as everyone on the dance floor waving. She’s confident enough to say what she needs (get out of this shot!) but sweet natured enough to say it in a way that’s not offensive.
Her style is crazy unique and amazing. All my guests have noted her or asked for her information. Steph should want to kill us, as we had to cancel our first meeting due to traffic, were late to our second meeting that I insisted be at my house, then super late to our second meeting at our location. Steph is the ultimate professional at all times. WE LOVE HER. Just look at the pics for proof. Oh and the best part of all of it — her rate is ridiculously affordable. Scoop her up FAST as she is a super star and to be around her you will quickly realize she will be doing huge things in her life and SOON.

I did a shoot with Steph about a year ago. I was interested in having some photos taken that would reflect my interests but was having a hard time deciding what to do.
After talking with Steph, she suggested we focus on my love of Wally the Green Monster and the Red Sox. We took a bunch of shots focusing on the infamous Citgo Sign in Kenmore (as a BU grad I needed to pay homage to that one, steady, bright light that guided me home many a night…).
Steph was great! She was able to put together creative ideas for poses, locations and even props (I, of course has my Wally doll with me) on the fly and the photos are amazing!
I highly recommend Steph if you want great photos with some awesome creativity.

Steph was the photographer for my wedding in October, 2009. We were extremely discouraged before meeting Steph as 2 other photographers had not called us back and/​or booked our date, but did not confirm with us. Two Months before our wedding we recieved a reccomendation about her work and are thankful that we did! Not only did she spend several hours getting to know us before the wedding, via email, phone calls and a face to face interview where we completed a questionnare, she also made efforts to incorporate our personalities into our photos. She was felxible and was willing to stay later at our wedding to make sure that all of our important activites, i.e.bouqet toss, dollar dance, etc. was captured. She allowed us to have our creativity and meshed it with hers. We look at our photos now and smile and each time people see our photos they ask who our photographer was and we reccomend steph whole heartedly and have booked her for other events. She also has been extraordinarily accesible after our wedding when we wanted to order prints, ask questions about prints and was willing to make a video of our day out of the images. We were fortunate to meet steph and are eccastic that we choose her to capture the memories of our special day, there were no moments that we look back on and say, «why isnt there a picutre» she was simply everywhere, and captured it all!

Steph Stevens is as good of a photographer as you can ask for. Between her high level of professionalism, her positive attitude, and her desire to meld a client’s desires with her creativity, she makes photo shoots fun and unstressful. Additionally, her love for her craft is evident. In my experiences working with her, I have found that she has an eye for details and for getting just the right shot; she knows what to look for when posing her clients and gives great directions, thus reducing the need for multiple shots that may otherwise only serve to stress out the client.
Steph has a wide range of photography experience to her credit, ranging from the more common, such as weddings, pregnancy photos, and portraits and corporate headshots; to the more exotic, such as shooting celebrities, corporate events, whitewater rafting and sports events, commercial ventures, and red-​carpet galas.
Despite this impressive portfolio, Steph’s rates are affordably competitive. As someone who has myriad friends getting married, I can attest to the importance of knowing that an excellent photographer is within one’s price range.
Having worked with Steph on a few occasions now for modeling photos and headshots, and having recommended her to friends and seen their delight with her work, I can attest to Steph’s excellence.
