Great brands, not so great customer service, and terrible prices.
They carry great stuff from DVF, Theory, Milly, Tibi, etc. Go there, try it on, and then buy it online elsewhere, because they are severely out of touch with their pricing/​sales.
I have to echo what others have said… The sales reps will absolutely «Pretty Woman» you if you aren’t dressed to the nines. Pretty sad.
I understand Beacon Hill living, but the layout of the store is really tough. The racks are jammed, so it’s hard to find things.
Whenever I walk by Wish, there is always something nice in the window that catches my eye and draws me in. Looking closely, no one has taken the time to actually steam/​iron it, so it’s usually wrinkled and costs hundreds of dollars… I think that sums this place up for me. I really want to like it, but just can’t.

This adorable little boutique has gorgeous jewelry and clothing of extremely high quality, as well as phenomenal customer service. I love this place!
Months ago I noticed a woman working at WISH wearing their gold NYLA STAR by Leslie Kumar bracelet, and I absolutely fell in love with it. She said that they were out of that particular color of gold, but she took down my information and promised to call when they received another shipment. Many weeks went by before they received a shipment containing that exact bracelet.
Yesterday, Wish received the bracelet and the woman (even though it had been so long) immediately remembered me and how much I had loved it, and she set it aside for me. She even gave me a discount on the bracelet for waiting so long! This is the kind of genuine customer service that is so rare now. When you combine that kind of business integrity with an incredibly skilled buyer and amazing timeless fashion, Wish has really got it all!

i love boutique shopping, and Wish is one of my favorite boutiques in Boston. They have wonderful contemporary designs that are fairly priced.
I went to Wish for their final sale, and the owner (i think it was her) was kind enough to drop the prices of some of my items even further. I was shocked because she did it out of kindness for the heck of it!

Their selection of clothes is excellent. They carry many Milly items that are made in the US (love it!) and many other tasteful labels.
The service is very bipolar: sometimes you luck out and the people working there actually want to help you — they even have suggestions based on what you’ve picked and tried on; at other times, they are babbling on about their lives while you cringe at the details — and they are annoyed when you dare ask for assistance.
After buying a few things here that I chalk to expensive lessons in life; I now peruse this lovely place for ideas of what to get from Saks and Neiman’s since they are by far less expensive than Wish. Even their annual sales are a hit and miss here. Go here to get an idea of what you should look for. Go here for inspiration if you don’t have the time to read fashion magazines. I recommend that you buy elsewhere… Their people don’t inspire loyalty.

Good points: the clothes & accessories are lovely and unique.
Bad points: the prices are no less than $ 200 for any clothing article or jewelry piece and good luck finding any sizes over a size 6! MOST IMPORTANTLY: customer service is AWFUL!!! Truth be told, I am a size 12, 36 year old woman and the day I went in there, I was dressed pretty casually; certainly not like Sarah Jessica Parker in S&TC. I think the manager with a permanent scowl on her face (every time I go in there, the same look like she just sucked on a lemon…) took a look at me and thought she wouldn’t make a dime off of «my type» so why bother?! It was EXACTLY like the movie Pretty Woman «we don’t have your size here.!» She was right: they didn’t have my size there literally or figuratively. I asked her a question about who made a piece of jewelry and she responded with cool indifference (more like she felt put out) that she didn’t know the artist that made the jewelry piece I was looking at; she simply knew it was by a local designer. Too bad there was no follow up on her part: let me take your phone number/​contact info and I will ask and call you back later. I was interested in buying it but that was the final straw for me. With all of the incredible, funky, upscale boutiques in the area– Crush (Beacon Hill), Moxie (Beacon Hill), Shake The Tree (N. End), High Gear (N. End), Twilight (N.End), Injeanius (N. End), Ku de Ta (South Boston) — it is baffling that they think they can get away with such terrible customer service. A tip to the manager: Just because you work at a high-​end boutique doesn’t mean you have any class in dealing with people! I advise people to go next door to Moxie and see how a high-​end boutique should be run. A variety of high-​end merchandise and friendly service but not overbearing.

I bought a DvF dress here to wear to my engagement party over the summer. It was a tad big, but I loved the dress, and figured I should jump on it rather than have nothing at all. Went to Bloomingdale’s the next day, and it was half off AND they had the right size. So I returned the dress to Wish (for which I’d sucked it up and paid full price), and got store credit as that is their policy. This store credit has since paid DIVIDENDS – one dress has exponentially increased to 2 dresses and one skirt (milly dress and skirt and a Calypso dress).
In summary: Head on over to Wish when they have one of their fantastic sales and you won’t be disappointed.

Cute cute cute! This is one of those stores that I walk in and look around all. the. time. I feel like I’m going to get arrested for loitering there. The sales team is usually pretty good, though they sometimes seem to ignore incoming customers who aren’t regular heavy buyers. Or maybe just me. I won’t take it personally — I show up in gym clothes. Without my wallet. Just to check things out! But if you’re looking for THE dress or THE jeans or THE shirt, check out Wish. They probably have it. And just ignore the girl drooling over the adorbs Milly dresses. That’s me.

If this place wasn’t so damn expensive I would have given it another star.
The selection of clothing is great, everything is super cute and trendy. I walked in the other day because I saw a cool 617 tshirt (the kind of shirt yoiu buy for someone who doesn’t live in Boston…) Everything was going great until they rang me up. 75 Freaking dollars for a tshirt. Oh well.

Some nice stuff, but not that much variety and lots of it waaaay overpriced — seriously, over $ 200 for a cheap looking Theory dress? And you can find Milly in lots of places around town at better prices

But really it’s the weird vibe in here — sales staff not pleasant at all, not rude, just kind of not really there? After 2 visits, all I can say is you really have to want to buy something here, and be ready to help yourself /​be ignored. Staff could take some lessons from Stil or Mint Julep — 2 places that have definitely mastered the friendly-​helpful-​but-​not-​annoyingly-​creepy approach.
Might stop in if again if I was killing time on Charles St, but don’t think so otherwise

I’m on a mission to expand my dress collection and Wish never disappoints. I’d describe their style as ladylike and trendy at once. They carry fun all-​occasion dresses and cute shorts to pair with flowing blouses and funky jackets. In the back is a small collection of jeans and casual shirts. Occasionally they even carry a few bathing suits.
All the clothes are made by popular designers and guaranteed to flatter any shape. When faced with indecision, I can rely on the staff for an honest opinion on sizes or colors. My only wish for Wish is that they feature wider variety of affordable costume jewelry and accessories to compliment the pricier investment pieces.
To get the most out of your shopping experience here go often and get familiar with their inventory. They really cut prices during sales and you can stock up on interesting pieces.

Seems the staff has read too many of their own positive reviews. Even though there was one other person in the store trying on dresses, I didn’t get the courtesy of a hello or may I help you. I came from my job in the Financial District and thus, was in business attire. Regardless how I was dressed, or that I’m over the age of 35, is no excuse for the rudeness. I had a Trina Turk jacket in my hand, and was going to try it on, but after standing around for several minutes waiting for some assistance, decided against it. Good thing because I found the same jacket on sale online.

Since my previous review, I believe they have new staff, because the service has gotten much better. The girls who work in there are very sweet and helpful without being pushy.
They also still have their sale, except it’s not as great as before. The biggest reductions are the last week of the sale.
Great merchandise.
I still don’t go in looking like complete crap, though.

Wish must have either listened to us Unilocalers, or wished themselves a new staff– whatever the case may be I’ve had excellent service, advice and Old fashioned attention every time I’ve been.
I’ve been in the shop straight in from the gym, errands and post work, and have always received top-​notch attention, even moments away from store closing!
Three Quick Recommends:
1. Great finds on jewelry — most of my earrings are from this place!
2. They have a complete new check out system that can save your purchase info, so they’re able to make educated recommendations about what you’d like to purchase.
3. Get on the mailing list– and get the in with their special sales because affordable finds at this place really is just «Wish» ful thinking.
Certainly worth a visit if you’re in the area!

620 dollars for a light winter coat? No.

Here is the Breakdown:
4.25 for inventory. 2.0 for salespeople. 3.75 for prices. [prices during sales are very reasonable though!!!]
… something like that. Whoever stocks this store has really good taste and obviously has a good sense of what the trends are as they are happening (not like 3 months later).
Now, here is the thing. I buy stuff there but I know I am a sucker for paying full price. Not too long ago I bought an awesome Theory (*fav brand) suit there and wayyyyyyyy overpaid. There is something about knowingly being ripped off that leaves a bad taste in my mouth.
This store is like a 4.0+ during their sales and like a 3.25 the rest of the time.

I. Love. This. Store. Small and cute. I like the layout and even liked the tight squeeze past other customers. The staff was aloof — which I prefer to being all fluttery and asking if I wanted to try things on.
I was eying the sweaters, but they were all cashmere and out of my price range. actually, everything was out of my price range, but a girl can dream.
great coats, wonderful sweaters, a smattering of accessories, a cubby wall of jeans and some skirts and pants. if you have the funds to back it up, i would make the trip. it is worth at least a browse.

Cute selection, convenient location, great brands, nice variety. The sales staff… eh… two chicks were all over helping this one girl not buy anything. They were nice, but totally ignored me. I’m such a jerk, I want attention, but not pushiness… there is a fine line between the two. I say they totally blew me off, but they were still nice you know, I’m not really complaining. Anyway, not much in my size or I would have bought way more. They were having a 20% off sale, which I think may still be going on until the end of the month (October)… maybe?

They have a decent selection of clothes here. My friend picked up some Splendid, Nanette Lepore and a cute pair of Citizens.
I can’t say the service was the best though.

The clothing selection in this store is emaculate, trendy yet wearable. However, this being Beacon Hill, the prices are very Neiman Marcus. Nothing in here is priced below $ 200. However, they do have huge sales, the only time i dare venture in here.
The shopping atmosphere however is especially heinous. One can only hear «oh my god that is so like totally cute on you» so many times before wanting to gnaw ones ears off.
Come during a sale and wear earplugs and you are guaranteed to give your wardrobe a special touch.

Totally cute women’s clothing store, whenever we’re in town the wife «needs» to stop in to pick up on the latest and greatest in fashion trends in and out of Boston. Not inexpensive, but worth it. Make sure to ask for Jane, she’s terrific!
