I started coming to this practice because I needed an alternate to my general doctor whom I felt was not helping me at all. Huge mistake. This has been the worst experience of my life.
I’m a cash paying patient since my insurance does not cover naturopathic medicine. I decided to eat the cost in hopes that I would receive better care, but the care from this office and the communication with Dr. Thomas have literally been non-​existent.
I constantly have to call to get answers and am still currently waiting on bloodwork results. The first time they drew blood they had me come back to discuss the results, which was another $ 90. Instead of calling to discuss over the phone and then decide if I needed to be seen for additional tests or exams. I asked for my current results to be discussed over the phone while at my last appointment. Some time lapsed when I noticed that my results were never sent from the lab to the office, so I sent them myself. It’s been over 3 weeks and every time I call I get a new excuse.
First, the doctor was out of town for a week. I guess the other doctors couldn’t review my results for me. So I had to wait a week. Then I did not hear anything upon his return, at which point I called and was told that they are in the process of moving to a new building so he won’t be able to get back to me until after the weekend. Then after not hearing back on Tuesday i proceeded to call today and was told their emails and phone were down all day and now that is why I still have not had any contact.
I do not feel as if doctor Jeff Thomas is actually a doctor. He does not follow up with his patients himself or through staff within the clinic. Often times things that he wants me to try I are out of stock without any idea when they will be back, but hey, they give you an option to prepay and «hold» your medicine.
This is no way to run a wellness practice where the patient never feels anyone cares about them and I’m putting my faith in them and my money into their practice. The first month cost me nearly $ 1000 and I didn’t do every test he wanted to run because some tests would have cost $ 300 – 500 individually. Needless to say, you would be throwing your money away coming here.
I asked for some kind of partial refund on some of the services to compensate for their COMPLETE lack of patient care, but was told by their office manager that they will not offer any refund amount and supposedly the doctor will call me with the results. I have zero faith in this business to follow up with my blood results. It’s taken almost a month to get them.
If you have a serious medical condition such as cancer, which they advertise treatment for… I wouldn’t recommend this naturopath because apparently they have no concept of time or caring for patients. As someone who currently has a family member undergoing cancer treatment I would forbid them from coming to this practice.
I came here based on the Unilocal reviews that seemed so positive, but I do not think they properly reflect the lack of patient care this office is truly providing and if you’re considering going here as a cash paying patient I would consider some of the other local naturopathic offices.

I’ve seen Dr Pendleton at the HWI for my allergies. I have been struggling with some sort of allergies for years now. Year round always stuffed, sometimes I couldn’t even sleep because I couldn’t breath. I always thought it was dust or mold but once I saw Dr Pendleton he had me tested for all my allergies and determine that I have wheat and yeast allergy /​celiac disease. Per his recommendation I got on gluten free diet and now for the past month how incompletely allergy free. My stomach doesn’t get bloated and I can breathe now all the time. I’m very thankful to have met Dr Pendleton.

I was diagnosed with malignant melanoma stage 4. I was told by many friends and family to see dr john as they were familiar with his sucessful work in cancer. Many patients with hopeless situations like mine. I made an appointment and seven years later I am able to write this!!!

This place is amazing the DR. s have helped Myself, my wife and kids live a healthy lifestyle…
