again, the best tri tip sandwiches. And their sauce is always a hit. Every time I go elsewhere for a sandwich I am sorry I did.

I came here over the weekend en route to Big Basin as recommended by a friend of a friend. The town is cute as a button and this liquor store/deli is no exception! The tri tip sandwich on Dutch crunch is everything! There is a lot of meat and the bread to filling ratio is on point. It’s also a great value to boot at under $ 9. The serving size is great even for a 5 hour hike and the sandwich did not get too mushy. Staff is super wonderful and the customers are friendly regulars; while we were waiting for our orders we shot the breeze with an elderly woman and talked about a million things under the sun… So you can tell it’s not particularly fast service, but worth the wait if you can spare some time. I also purchased a cookie at checkout and it tasted crispy and fresh. They don’t carry Smartwater, but Aquafina is available. The credit card situation is old school as they actually need to dial through, but takes only an extra minute. I’ll be back to try some of their other specialty sandwiches if I’m ever in the area again!

This is a tiny deli at the back of the liquor store. Every morning, the owner fires up the bbq and starts cooking up his semi famous tri-tip for the deli that his wife runs. Get the belly buster. It’s legit. ½ pound of tri-tip goodness. It’s seriously a lot of meat. Kind of a struggle to finish, but totally worth it. Deli closes everyday at 5. Will definitely be back again.

Great place to get a huge turkey club or tri tip sandwich. The ladies that work in the deli are nice and you can get in and out in 5 minutes.

Stopped here after walking the trails at Big Basin. Excellent tri-tip sandwiches and friendly staff. The sandwiches were delicious. Ate at 5 star restaurant in Monterey yesterday and I enjoyed this sandwich way more…

Got the tri-tip steak wedge with no cheese, extra mayo, and all the normal toppings(tomato, pepper, onions, etc). So tasty!

Very good breakfast sandwiches, and lots of candy and snacks you can buy such as Moon Pies, Pop-tarts, and chocolate chip cookies.

I grew up eating the tri tip sandwiches here, they are amazing! The BBQ chicken sandwich and breakfast sandwiches are also really good. I have a few cards on the wall with my name on them and my dad has about 10. The ladies that work here are always so awesome overall I love this place I always look forward to a tri tip belly buster with cheddar when I come home to visit!

Local Deli & Liquor store. Downtown Boulder Creek plenty if quick eats & drinks with & without alcohol. Friendly ladies, pretty cool locals & as always affordable. We smelt the aroma of BBQ Tri-Tip & we were hooked. Definitely recommend this location for lunch & quick stop needs!

Really good tri-tip sandwich. Yes, they have other sandwiches. Yes, the have a good selection of pre-made salads. But, by far, the Tri-tip is what is worth your time and effort to head out here and grab a bite. The marinade makes the sandwich. Load it with bacon and extra pepperoncinis please! The only(minor) drawback to the location is that there isn’t much seating if you want to eat there. There are a few chairs and tables outside, but not the best location to hang out. They do offer a frequent eaters card that get’s you a free sandwich after purchasing ten.

Okay so I don’t know if you like meat let alone tri-tip but omfg this stuff is the bomb let me just say. It’s worth it if you are a local or not. It’s not worth going to the foster freeze down the way because you need to go to Redwood Keg Liquor and Deli. I know this doesn’t sound like much but trust me, order a «Bellybuster» and if you want you can have everything on it but I go for the Phillycheese steak kind of deal where I just ask for provolone cheese or Swiss, the meat which is marinated in this non spicy but incredible tasting like you’ve probably never had deliciousness and throw a few pepperchinis and you got a incredible mouth watering have to come back for more deal! I keep meaning to go back because now they sell the marinade they use on the tritip in the bottle. I. Swear this sandwich is probably my favorite just because of the meat and the marinade, plus they have a pretty awesome liquor section too ;) So please do me a favor, try this beyond epic sandwich!

The tri-tip sandwich is freaking delicious! AND you can buy the marinade to use at home! We used it for burgers and I swear it makes everything taste better. We’ve also liked the egg salad and rueben sandwiches, but the tri-tip is my regular.(It should be noted that they make almost everything they use for the sandwiches, including the egg salad and tri-tip. They don’t just order it from some food service company. It’s the real deal here.) Jane has gotten to know us over the last few months and has our order pretty much memorized, even though we make it difficult and change a few things out on our sandwiches. They’re always friendly, and even have my favorite hard to find wines. Love this place!

Three words. Tri Tip Sandwich. Wow! I have eaten their sandwiches for over 15 years, and they are spectacular! Milk after the stores are closed? Marini’s ice cream in containers? They have all this, and for everyone else, they have the hard drinks. Go here!

I have gone to this restaurant/deli/grocery store on several occations, I am just shaking my head with confusion on why everyone is saying that this is the best version of the sandwich they have ever had. If any one of these people have tried ANY sandwich at Los Gatos Meats in Los Gatos, CA and can still make this declaration… well let’s just say I’d be partially shocked and partially wanting to call shenanigans! I will not say the sandwich is bad… bc it is by no means bad. It’s actually a pretty good tri-tip. Especially if you are only looking in boulder creek or along the drive on HWY9. But, as mentioned above, there are much better options and they are in the area. In fact, I’d almost venture to say the tri-tip sandwich I got in Pleasanton at the Safeway grocery store in exchange for a donation to the boys and girls club was better… and the Safeway manager was the«chef». Prices on food, beer, wine, and liquor are too high. Selection is not great either. BUT, if you are in boulder creek and dont want to venture off HWY9, then sadly enough this might be your best bet. It’s not bad, you won’t walk away sad, but it just doesn’t compare to other alternative available.

*pops open beer* The Redwood Keg is famous far and wide for their tri tip sandwiches but what many people don’t know is you can buy bottles of the marinara. I brought some back to where the tall corn grows for my family and they loved it. I’m gonna need to bring twice as much next time. The owners and staff are totally chill but it gets even better. It’s located right next to the hardware store. GIVEMECONVENIENCEORGIVEMEDEATH! A solid three stars for sure, that is until last night. I was minding my own business, buying a 12 pack and when I got to the counter the owner was training a new employee. My heart was filled with joy when I saw that she was a hawt aZn girl with freaky tattoos. FIVEBIG, BRIGHTSTARS!!!
