We provide comprehensive eye exams, contact lens exams, as well as treatment for medical conditions such as dry eyes or emergency eye care. We also offer LASIK co-​management as well as specialty contact lens fitting.

History

Established in 2009.

Altitude Optometry is a private Optometric practice located inside LensCrafters Optique. We started our business at the 29^th Street Mall in Boulder in the Fall of 2009.

Meet the Business Owner

Business Owner

Monica Mortenson, O.D. is a native of Michigan. After completing three years of undergraduate work at Michigan State University, she moved to California in 1994 to finish her undergraduate degree and begin Optometry school at University of California, Berkeley.

She completed her Optometric training at such institutions as Denver OMNI Eye Specialists, American Eye Institute at Cedars Sinai in Los Angeles and the Missouri Eye Institute in St. Louis. She received her Doctorate of Optometry in 1998 and was a member of Beta Sigma Kappa, an Optometric Honor Society.

After living in California for 13 years, Dr. Mortenson decided it was time to try something different and moved with her family to Boulder, Colorado. It turned out to be a great decision and she has enjoyed living and working with local Boulderites.

In her spare time, Dr. Mortenson enjoys skiing, hiking, biking and spending time with her husband and two children.
