Established in 2013.

As a plastic surgeon, Dr. Roesner wanted to have a practice different than most. He wanted to offer a variety of services from massage to aesthetic procedures. Aura is a medical and surgical aesthetic practice providing discreet, private services — performed in a comfortable and calming spa-​like atmosphere.

Nathan Roesner, D.O. is Fellowship Trained & Board Certified in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. Dr. Roesner trained in southeast Michigan through the Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine — completing both General Surgery and Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery programs. His policy is to provide the best individualized care to each of his patients. This philosophy is fostered by Dr. Roesner’s training as an Osteopathic Physician, where treating the patient as a whole is paramount.

I had coolsculpting done about 3 months ago. What a waste of $ 5k! It made zero difference. I feel like they should be more up front about how little result there may be. I should have just done lipo as that is a guaranteed result. Very unhappy with what I got for my money and the information up front.
So to address Nicole’s comments. First she and I only discussed lipo to the extent I liked that coolsculpting was non-​invasive. I never even considered Aura for lipo. I did talk to sonobello about lipo. In an email exchange Nicole stated to me CS, at best, would removed 25% of the fat. Sonobello said their lipo would do 70−80% removed of the fat.
This goes to my comment about being upfront. Had she told me CS was, at best, only 25% effective I would have spent the extra $ 1000 at sonobello to get 3 times the results. Her comments that oh in the next month it will finally work I find to be a pitiful excuse myself. I guess it was my fault for not knowing what Nicole didn’t tell me up front.
Additionally I don’t think it was even done correctly, as the applicator bruising was well above what I wanted treated on my sides and back by 3 – 4 inches. Oh yes there is lots of bruising, itching, and hard fat for weeks. But another month will do it right, LOL
First it was 3 months to have max effect but now they are claiming 4 months. Next it will be 5 months. You know what did work? For the last 5 weeks I have worked out 5 days a week. Now that reduced fat. Get a gym membership, it’s more effective.

Dr Roesner is absolutely the best Dr. I have ever met. Very understanding, compassionate and extremely knowledgeable. A real genuine man. I owe him more than my insurance could have ever paid him, but I will sincerely say it again. Thank you for doing your best for my wife.

The worst part of moving is you have to find new everbody. New Hairstylists, New doctors, new everybody! You leave behind the people you have worked hard to find and have learned to trust. You have to take a chance on all new people. I have been doing Botox for years and always insisted on getting it from a doctor. I recently moved to Boulder. So… I had to find someone new. I came to Aura and met with Nicole, an RN at Aura. She made me feel so comfortable and confident. She listened carefully to my desired outcomes. She took her time with me and we worked out a plan that gave me the most bang for my buck and respected my budget. She was extremely gentle with the injections, and guess what??? It was the best results I have yet to have. Really perfect. Not too much, not to little. I have just completed my second session with her and still feel the same. Love her!

Aura has been such a wonderful find! I have had a few different treatments and have been using their skin care line for a few weeks now and am delighted. The staff is friendly, confidential, professional and experienced, from the front desk all the way to Dr. Roesner. Nicole is an amazing specialist and I couldn’t be happier with my skin.

I have been to Aura on a few occasions, having had a few different treatments. This is a professional, super friendly place with excellent staff and care. Nicole is a magnificent practitioner and the staff is all highly capable. I have always been more than pleased with the work I have had done here. The atmosphere is relaxing, very clean, and incredibly private and comfortable. I would not hesitate to recommend Aura again and again. I noticed a negative review on this site, and am guessing that there is another side to the story here. The accusations seem so far from the experiences I have had at Aura, that I would be very cautious for others to take this to reviews as accurate.

I have had skin treatment and lip enhancer at the clinic. I greatly enjoyed my experience at the clinic. The entire staff is very professional, kind and welcoming. As a former patient during summer of 2013 I feel I must report how dissatisfied I am with Aura Laser of Boulder and the staff. I purchased a package of laser treatments and was scheduled with Amanda. The first 4 treatments went ok, although the chest laser treatment did absolutely nothing. During my final treatment Amanda turned up the laser frequency and I suffered second degree burns on my face/​chin. I am still scarred today. I received no further care from them. No «sorry». No accommodation to facilitate my schedule to receive burn care. Another physician in Boulder treated my burns over the next 6 months. Dr Roesner was only concerned with himself. He even had the nerve to deny the release of my medical records when requested in writing and in person, which we all know is a violation of patients rights! So much for his philosophy of «holis y ic care and treatment of the patient! Buyer beware of this sub-​standard establishment. There are too many responsible physicians and estheticians in Boulder Colorado to have to settle for this type of treatment.

I had Smart Lipo done to four areas by Dr. Roesner in April 2013 before the business name changed. I did upper and lower abs, love handles and lower back. I must say I am so happy I picked him as my Doctor I had many other consultation with other doctor’s but my heart told me to go with Dr. Roesner, he listened to my concerns and made me feel comfortable, I had lipo done to my love handles by Dr. Ben lee a few years earlier but he did a horrible job did not remove all my unwanted fat and when i told him he could have taken more he said you can buy lipo dissolve if you want, I felt robbed! That experience made me scared to deal with another plastic surgeon, but Dr Roesner was different he took such good care of me, during the surgery myself Dr. Roesner and his nurse joked and talked it made the surgery a breeze, after my surgery he called me to see how i was doing something my last surgeon did not do. My recovery was short i had surgery on a Friday and returned to work Tuesday, and i did not have one black and blue mark on me. I now feel confident about myself again thanks to this amazing Doctor. Dr. Roesner will be my go to plastic surgeon for anything I ever want. My only regret is not writing a review sooner and I would of gave a 5 star but the hour in half drive was no fun but well worth it!
