Description

Specialties

We specialize in clinical massage and bodywork for clients in all walks of life. Our focused approach to issues, dysfunctions and pain is a customized blend of our 13+ years of experience and education. We like to say that while we take our work seriously, we don’t take ourselves too seriously.

Our office is warm, professional and easy to find. A word of caution… there are no robes, slippers and no Enya-style music.

We are a NO TIPPING establishment.

History

Established in 2014.

Kate Ripley is the founder and lead massage therapist of Boulder Bodyworker. Kate has had a 13 year massage career that has included experience working in a clinical practice in Boston, MA and opening her own successful practice, Austin Bodyworker in downtown Austin, TX in 2007. Kate’s love of the mountains and Boulder active lifestyle & community drove her to want live and practice here.

Boulder Bodyworker’s mission centers on helping clients who are in need of focused, medically-based massage in a professional environment. She and her team are dedicated to helping each client make forward progress in their issues and help educate them on how to best help themselves with stretches and exercises they can do easily at home.

Meet the Business Owner

Kate R.

Business Owner

Kate is a recent transplant to Boulder from Austin, TX. Her background in orthopedic and neuromuscular massage coupled with her almost 13 years of intensive, deep-tissue massage have set her skill level to a higher plane. She is a long-time runner, lover of strength training, turned rookie triathlete so she knows the aches and pains of training and working out. And she has worked with all kinds of athletes including those who consider themselves «athletes of life.»

Kate takes a medically-based approach to dealing with the various postural, gait, and muscular issues and dysfunctions she has come across. She can help eliminate and/or alleviate symptoms of over-training, repetitive-use and chronic tension injuries.

Cubicle jockeys and parents have another special set of issues, which she has a great deal of success with helping alleviate. Her style of bodywork lends itself to being deep, relaxing and very effective with dealing with pain, tension and tightness.
