We work on any Hybrid or EV (electric vehicle). This includes cars such as Toyota Prius, Camry Hybrid, Highlander Hybrid, RAV4 EV, Honda Insight, Civic Hybrid, Accord Hybrid, Lexus CT200h, 400h, Ford Escape Hybrid, Fusion Hybrid, Nissan Altima Hybrid, Leaf, Chevrolet Volt and the Tesla Roadster, Model S. As more Hybrids and EVs come on the market we will be happy to service and maintain them for you. We use original, aftermarket, and recycled parts depending on your vehicle requirements and your budget. Our business is based on honesty and integrity. We keep our prices fair by using recycled parts when applicable. Sorry we dont have a fancy waiting lounge or cappuccino machine. (But there’s a Laughing Goat coffee shop with WiFi in the front of our building). The company is locally owned by Hybrid enthusiasts. When the shop is closed our staff is out running, cycling, hiking, climbing, skiingbasically enjoying everything Boulder & Colorado has to offer.

Established in 2010.

Boulder Hybrids has expanded 3 times since 2010. They are now located at 2907 55th St just south of the Valmont Post office.

More and more people are discovering they have an alternative to the dealer when it comes to regular service and/​or major repairs.

These guys know their cars. Not tied to the company line, they replaced the original 12-​volt battery in my 2003 Prius with one cheaper and more powerful than that specified by Toyota, using a conversion kit. Plus they have York Peppermint Patties in the office.

Paul and everybody else on the Boulder Hybrid crew really came through for me. Josh even came and picked me up from the RTD Bus stop at Table Mesa, as my car was in the shop (obviously).
They replaced the high voltage battery in my Prius for $ 1000 less than Toyota quoted me, and took care of a TON of deferred maintenance on the vehicle. Everyone was very professional, and they got the car turned around in half the time Stevinson Toyota told me it would take.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! Support small business, and support this team in Boulder with any of your hybrid vehicle needs!

Paul at Boulder Hybrids is the only mechanic I’ve ever trusted. He takes the time to explain the different services he is providing and talks through the pros and cons of every choice. Paul charges such a low rate that you will save hundreds of dollars vs. taking your vehicle to the dealer. He has a lot of experience working on Hybrids and keeps himself informed by continually researching different problems and solutions for hybrid vehicles. Finally Paul is extremely customer oriented. We drive from Denver to Boulder to take our vehicle to him because the experience is that much better. Recently he serviced my family’s only vehicle and my wife needed to come back to Denver. Not only did he provide her with a loaner car he came drove our car all the way to Denver to switch it out with the loaner when he was finished servicing it making it very convenient for our family. If you have a hybrid take it to Paul at Boulder Hybrids. You will have a great experience from scheduling the appointment online, receiving education about your vehicle, and great quality service at an extremely low cost.

Just had my first work done by Boulder Hybrids. I’m very impressed! They fixed the intermittant, off again on again headlight problem that the dealer said they were unable to diagnose — and at about 1⁄10th of the cost. They were quick, thorough and didn’t jack up the parts prices like the dealer does. 5 stars is well deserved!

The best service experience I have ever had… these guys are professional, quick and super friendly. They stayed late on a Saturday to replace my hybrid battery, they topped off my fluids and replaced a couple of lights free to make sure I was safe to drive home!

These guys were quick, the price was competitive, and they offered other services like storing the summer tires so they could dry out before loading them into my car. I had a great experience with Boulder Hybrid! Paul was very honest, approachable, and knowledgeable. He gave me a quote over the phone to replace my Prius AC compressor for less than half the cost the dealer was asking backed with the same one year factory warranty. He finished the job promptly and stayed true to the quote. The technician took the time to look the vehicle over and show me my water pump had a leak, but did not try to pressure me into repairing it right away. I am very glad to have discovered Boulder Hybrid and will definitely be back next time I need work done.

After 152,000 miles my main Prius battery needed to be replaced. Based on a friends’s recommendation I called and discussed my need with Paul. They could provide a brand new battery for $ 500 less than the local dealer price. Because my car is already 10 years old Paul discussed with me used battery options from crashed cars. I selected a used battery from a car with less than 30,000 miles and saved another $ 500. My car now feels like a 30,000 mile Prius and I am happy with the savings.

After buying a low mileage Prius we needed to buy another key set because the car only came with one set. We got a really high estimate from the dealer, and an online purchase left me confused re programming. After making an appt Paul and team made the key quickly and the cost was really fair. Great also talking to Paul to receive generous information about thr new car. Great experience!!!

I highly recommend Boulder Hybrids if you have a Prius. I was driving cross country and backed into a small ditch when I arrived in Boulder.
This happened over the weekend, and I was concerned about finding an auto body shop that would be open. (I was planning to leave Boulder on Monday) Paul responded to me right away, and he looked at the car on Sunday and fixed it by 1pm on Monday.
Not only did he fix the damage from the ditch, he also helped me with my tires and found a leak in the water pump. He showed me the issue, which was underneath the pump & so I saw it with a mirror. My own auto body shop in LA missed it when I got my car inspected before I left.
His prices were reasonable and fair, and his knowledge and responsiveness is top notch. Thank you Paul and staff at Boulder Hybrids. You were a great help.
