With a challenging spill on my computer and a lot of complex software, I was really stressed about learning that my logic board was fried. Rebecca came to my rescue and helped me find a refurbished computer that I ordered immediately. Her ability to understand my stress AND my needs was amazing and when the computer arrived, they were able to install my old hard drive and save all my data without having to reinvent everything. Rebecca is awesome and deserves «employee of the day/​month/​year»!

I brought in my MacBook laptop that was broken into two pieces and they had it back up and running in a few days! They also offered to use good recycled parts to keep they costs down… how cool is that?!?

I went in here to see if I could get some advice about my iPhone screen because it was popping off (due to a screen replacement that used bad quality parts from another phone repair shop).
The guy that works there said he could double-​sided tape it together but to come back in a few days and he could super glue it, free of charge.
I came back and he tried to glue it but that wasn’t exactly possible with my screen. When I got it back the screen didn’t work at all so he took it back and gave me a brand new screen, for free!
Now my screen is working perfectly, and has even better screen display and quality than before. Thank you Boulder Mac Repair! I would definitely recommend.

I have been in several times. It was always an excellent experience. The level of intelligence and expertise is obvious. As is the level of caring and genuine high-​quality service. There is an incredible woman there, her name is Rebecca. She is a guru of extraordinary skill and means. I am eternally grateful to her for the problems that she is helped me solve in a timely, cost-​effective, and expedient manner. I will always be a return customer. I can’t think of another place I would rather go to have my computers work on.

The glass on my iPhone was not installed properly. The glass broke a day later because of their flawed installation. I brought it back to the technician and he was unwilling to stand behind his work. He became very rude and defensive when I called him out on it. I spoke with the manager and he was useless. I’ve never had such a bad experience at a store. Stay away!!!

This place runs a pretty cool operation and I may someday buy a used Mac from them. If you’d asked me last week I’d have said I was really pumped on the iPhone screen replacement they did for me. Now, not so much.
I took my phone in there last Monday and they replaced the screen for me. When they handed it back to my I noticed that my forward facing screen wasn’t working. The guy took a look at it and may have even opened it back up to ensure everything was connected right. He said something about how another part connected to it was working, that it could be a software issue, that I should try figuring out if it was a software issue and, if not, bring it back and (I could’ve sworn he said) they’d replace the FF camera for me.
Saturday, five days after the screen was replaced, I dropped my phone. And it was a minor one. I was surprised to see that the screen had a fresh crash across it. Otherwise it still functions fine.
I called today to ask what software things I could do to determine whether the FF camera issue was software related and they suggested that I just bring the phone in for them to look at since they weren’t super busy. I just returned from there, where they told me they would cover the labor, not the part, on my FF camera and that, since I’d save money on the labor, should do the screen as well.
Maybe I misheard when I thought he said they’d «cover the camera» and not «only the labor» and maybe my minor drop was that magical minor drop that breaks the screen. But I’m still not feeling great about the quality of the replacement screen (i.e. how easily it broke) or the whole FF camera experience and I think I’ll take my iPhone screen business elsewhere.
For what it’s worth, this place is worth a visit just to look at all of the old Apple products and they look to have some great deals on used Macs.

ABSOLUTELY HORRENDOUS! I brought my laptop in to get fixed and it came back in worse condition. On top of that, Boulder Mac Repair will not take it back to fix it BUT they are more than happy to charge me again for their mistakes. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU TO TRY OUT A DIFFERENT STORE.

They fixed my iPhone 5 screen quickly an efficiently.

When our MacBooks took a bath in vegetable stir-​fry, the geniuses at Apple confirmed our fears that both computers were trashed and not fixable. They also told us that my data was irretrievable.
With a tiny shred of hope I took them into Boulder Mac Repair. Walking in without an appointment, I was pleased to be greeted by upbeat folks who seemed eager to help. Within moments Rebecca reported that the data on my Macbook Air was intact and fully retrievable.
She also offered the option to try to clean our laptops and get them working again. I was skeptical, but then she told me she’d had miracles happen after the great flood last year and I’d be surprised what can be cleaned. The price was very reasonable, so we took the chance. She was able to get my Air working again! We replaced a few parts and were back in business.
At each juncture Rebecca and her colleagues were extremely price sensitive and took the time to talk through various options. I feel super grateful to Rebecca and the rest of the team. From my experience, their care and competence go unmatched for Mac repair in this town.

So grateful for these guys! Totally wrecked my phone over Christmas break and finally had to get it fixed. Very reasonable pricing and friendly staff. I’m just so happy to have my phone screen crack free! Thanks y’all!

My phone had cracked months ago, and I ignored it until it stopped working. Brought it in here, walk-​in, and met Landon– who was wicked nice, helpful, and kind. He fixed it within half an hour, in and out, and my phone looks as good as new. Only place I would go– especially if you want to avoid 29^th street or the Hill, where lines and waits will always be longer and more the population more irritating.

I have always found amazing customer service at Boulder Mac Repair. I lived in Boulder, CO for six years and have used BMR many times.
My brother broke the screen on his macbook pro, took it to the apple store and they wanted over $ 900 to replace it! And they were going to take two weeks to get it done. I quickly called up BMR, spoke directly with the owner, and he got a new clamshell with the upgraded screen and had it fixed in under a week. Amazing customer service.

So glad I found this place! I have had to come in a couple times with a broken phone… water damage, cracked screen. The customer service was awesome and super fast — which was important because I was in the middle of a work day and needed my phone. Thanks guys!

They are very nice and take care of my daughter and her phone. Maybe the third time will be a charm; hope springs eternal.

This is my third time using Boulder Mac Repair and I have yet to be disappointed. The customer service is excellent. I had a cracked iPhone screen and concern about water damage. They took care of both and I haven’t had a problem since. I’ve also had an iPhone battery replaced and again, no problems. I just had another battery replaced for my mom’s iPhone and Landon was very helpful and professional. Hopefully, I won’t need another iPhone repair anytime soon but, if I do, I’ll be back. :)

IPhone 4 would not recognize the charging cable any more. Apple Store says throw it away and upgrade, the 30 pin connector has a bent prong, the repair is not offered here. I was about to take their advice but made a quick call to Boulder Mac Repair. «I can fix it for $ 40 but it will take 45 minutes.» As if waiting 45 minutes would be a problem… Amazing guys, great attitude and very reasonable price.

I had a problem that was driving me crazy on my mac and i had looked on the web for solutions — asked other mac experts and they couldn’t solve.

OMG this place saved my life and over the phone no less. My macbook was on tutorial mode or something like that and I couldn’t figure out how to reset it. I thought it had a virus and i’ve been living with the issue for months. I saw BMR when I was at the laundromat yesterday and I decided to call to see if I needed to make an appointment. Nope! The gentleman on the phone gave me the instructions on how to fix it. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!

A Tale of Two Repair Experiences
I’ll start with Boulder Mac Repair. These guys are a class act, always helpful with fast, courteous, and friendly service without an attitude. I took my iPod Touch (5^th Generation) which is still under warranty to the Apple Store in Boulder. More about that later.
After a very disappointing experience at the Apple Store, I visited the guys at Boulder Mac Repair. The problem I had was that the tip of my Apple earbuds plug had broken off inside the iPod’s earphone jack. As soon as I walked in the door I was greeted and I explained my problem. One of the gentleman took the iPod to the back, and using tweezers or needle-​nose pliers pulled the tip out. I asked him what I owed him, and he said «nothing.» I was in and out in five minutes.
An hour earlier I had visited the Apple Store on 29^th Street. Luckily I had made an appointment online ahead of time since the customers who visited the store without an appointment were told they’d have to wait two to three hours. (This was on a Tuesday afternoon.)
I waited in line to sign in with the iPad guy, and was directed to sit at a specific stool. I waited about twenty minutes, ten minutes past my appointment time. Even though I had entered my serial number into the online service request form, when my «genius» visited he had to enter it again. After finding that the iPod was still under warranty, he took a look at it and saw that there was something in the earphone jack. This was blamed on me. The fact that the earbuds were an Apple product, and that the tip broke off inside another Apple product did not matter.
He asked me how I plugged and unplugged the earbuds. I told him that it’s not exactly rocket science to plug and unplug the earbuds. (I didn’t use language quite this sarcastic.) He said I could talk to a a manager.
The manager came over and her story was the same… it was my fault that the tip had broken off, and furthermore, she said, «this happens very rarely.» I commented that even though it might be a rare occurrence, that shouldn’t mean it’s not covered under warranty. I expressed my disappointment in Apple’s warranty service. (I have had a prior problem with them denying service for a MacBook Pro in the last month of a 3-​year service plan. In this case the Boulder Apple Store claimed «water damage» which Boulder Mac Repair found no sign of.)
After expressing my disappointment with Apple’s warranty support, I was told that Apple sells more iPhones than any other model. I don’t know what the point was here, but the experience I had today at the Apple Store makes me think I should look at an Android for my next phone.
So, netting it out, the guys at Boulder Mac Repair fixed my problem in less than 30 seconds. The people at the Apple Store were arrogant, unhelpful, and I wasn’t willing to pay $ 149 for a flat rate repair.
