Food is awesome! Authentic Korean food at a super cheap price. The owner is super friendly and we only come here when we visit Boulder.

This place is my favorite place to eat Korean food. It is not like Korean BBQ, but rather the most common and popular food in Korea. If anyone wants to experience Korean food, visit here.

I have passed this place hundreds of times, and have always opted to eat Thai Avenue or Gurkhas. After having heard some rave reviews about the place I decided to try it and it was absolutely fantastic. You don’t have too many option in Boulder when it comes to Korean food, so this place can help you fill that craving. I’ve had the Soon Tofu dish twice this week and it is pretty tasty. They give you a large helping of rice and there is a ton of seafood inside the dish. I think it’s worth a taste, but if you are on a budget you may be better off going to Thai Avenue

A big«Yum» for the bibimbap. We had a great time enjoying that and the Kimchi Stew. The staff are delightfully friendly. It’s in a basement food court on College.

I love this place! The woman is always so nice to me! It’s a great fast Korean food place! Very quick and flavorful! Nothing bland or half made! My favorite is ddebboki here! She makes it sweet which is how I like it. If you like it spicy(because in Korea there are two kinds) I would ask her. But it’s perfect the original way she does for me! I always crave this place!

The kimchi jiggae(stew) reminds me of my mother’s, and it’s served piping hot with a generous side of rice and fresh kimchi. The price is very reasonable given the portions and authenticity. I also saw another guest enjoying the bi bim bop and it looked exceptional. Best of all, it’s a super casual atmosphere(campus food court) and quicker than a sit-down restaurant.

I don’t usually set foot on the hill unless there’s a darn good reason. I went to Goody Monster twice this week. Kimchi Stew Thursday and bibimbap Friday. Oh boy so delicious. Fresh, homestyle, hearty, and the lady is so nice. Korean food is so satisfying and makes the tummy feel good. If you want some this is a great place to check out.

I’ll keep this one short and sweet. The food here is good enough and fresh enough to satisfy my frequent cravings for Korean food. The bibimbap(rice with vegetables, egg, marinated beef, red pepper paste) is HUGE. You can split it up and eat it for two meals. The ddukbokki(spicy rice cake) is on the soupier side, but is still spicy and cooked to perfection — squishy(for lack of a better word … Ha!). In short, if you’re looking for some palatable Korean food in Boulder, stop by! The owner is sweet and efficient, and the food is prepared quickly and is tasty! First time here and not sure what to try? Try this mind-blowing combo: kimbap and ddukbokki. Dip your kimbap in your ddukbokki, brace yo’ self, and take a bite into paradise.

It seems that whenever I find myself extremely hungry, I immediately start craving Korean food. It could be because the cuisine has such an abundance of rice dishes, noodles, and soups that can satisfy any type of hunger or that for the longest time I wished for a decent Korean food place within walking distance of the Boulder campus. I’m going to have to say my cravings are usually a result of both. Now that the College Food Court has this nice addition to the area, I can easily curb my hunger just by stopping in. Certainly not a place to go for its décor but it is roomy enough to be able to sit down and thoroughly enjoy your meal. My go-to dish is the bibimbap, an assortment of various seasoned vegetables, beef, a chili pepper paste, and an egg on top of a bed of steaming white rice. The ingredients are mixed together before you eat it, leading up to a very tasty spoonful with every bite; it also fills me up for most of the day. As a soup lover, I also enjoy the various soups that are on the menu, especially the kimchi soup with its spiciness and tangy flavor. I especially love adding some rice to accompany the soup. The food is always made to order as well, which makes it all the more fresh. The owner is extremely cheerful and nice; she loves to ask you how you’re doing and how the food tastes, making sure that what you are getting is something you’re happy with.

Finally, Korean food in Boulder… a fairly basic menu but everything I’ve had is great, it always tastes fresh, and the lady might be THE nicest lady I’ve ever met.

I liked kimchi soup here! This is one of the shops in the food court. I like this food court. I like Korean tofu soup. It was funny when Korean lady who took my order asked me if I knew about kimchi. It was a kind way, so I like her attitude. Maybe there were not many people in Boulder. There are Asian cuisine places in the court… my favorite. I wish there was Asian food courts in the South Bay, CA.

I love this place! The Soon-Du-Bu and the Ra Myun(Spicy Ramen) are SO great! I haven’t been able to find real spicy Asian food in Boulder until I discovered Goody Monster a few months ago. The woman who owns the restaurant and cooks the food is just delightful, possibly the nicest woman I’ve ever met. The food takes a little while to make, but it is made fresh with care and is worth the wait! Yum!

This place is good fun. In the past I’ve had every kind of Asian food imaginable, most types many dozens to hundreds of times(seriously). But I haven’t had Korean food very often, so I was very glad to discover Goody Monster.(Which reminds me of Cookie Monster, who is a most excellent muppet!) Anyway, we read the positive reviews on Unilocal and just had to try the place. So glad we did. GM is located in a food court on the Hill. Not the place you want to go if you’re seeking ambiance, but if you want tasty Korean food, stop on by. Sweetie and I ordered 4 things, the bibimbap, bulgogi, pork dumplings, and steamed buns. All very good.(BTW, no MSG in anything.) The bibimbap was cold and fresh– sticky rice, thick udon-like noodles, grated carrot and zucchini, herbs, nearly crispy pork, and(ta da) a fried egg with a very runny yolk. Ahhhh… Very fresh and appetizing. The veggies had clearly just been grated. It was a big bowl of wonderful. My only quibble is this.(I would still order it again in a second.) It didn’t come with any kind of sauce and no kimchi. The bowl definitely needed a pow of flavor, and a binder to tie it all together. I ended up adding homemade hot sauce(available in squeeze bottles) and mixing it all up. Not bad. Not bad at all! The bulgogi was nearly crispy pork over rice(warm) with accoutrements. Sweetie gobbled it all up while making Cookie Monster sounds. He thought it was delicious. The pork dumplings were freshly made and lovely. The steamed buns were also very nice. Yum yum. Me like dumplings!

My family and I just spent a month in Seoul and we were so excited to discover this place when we returned home to Boulder! The woman who runs the place is from Seoul and the food is totally authentic Korean. I LOVED the Soon-du-bu and my husband really enjoyed the bibimbap with bulgogi. Kids loved the dumplings. The kimchi(house-made) is outstanding. Our family of four didn’t leave a crumb of our dinner behind, and the bill was totally reasonable. So glad to have this place nearby! YUM!!!

Ever since living in K-town in LA i’ve really wanted a koran place to eat here in boulder. This place totally satisfies that craving. As far back as i can remember there has never been in a korean place in boulder so its really cool to finally have one. The food here is wonderful and comes in huge servings that are bound to leave you full. The food is really authentic, at least authentic to all the korean places i ate at in k-town. The bi bim bap and bulgolgi are great and what i’ve tried from the dishes my friends have ordered are also good. The lady who runs this place is super nice. I’d highly recommend eating here, it’s currently my favorite place to eat on the hill.

Really delicious Korean food and very convenient for students like me who miss their moms cooking. Great customer service, the lady who works there is super great and really friendly. I wish it was a bit cheaper though, but I guess that’s what I get for being a Korean and knowing what I should be paying haha. Love this place tho! :)

My friend and I tried the sundubu jiggae(tofu spicy soup), mandus(dumplings), and the beef bulgogi plate. The jiggae was authentic tasting and very similar to the ones I ate in Korea — came with rice(standard) and surprisingly a plate of cucumber kimchee which was really tasty! The broth was great and helped clear up my sinuses. The bulgogi was sweet and thin(but plenty) and it came with a big pile of rice and mixed greens. You are definitely getting your money’s worth with that plate. The mandus were average — boiled so they tasted a little watery, but they were standard(a little over-priced though). The kimchee — you get a massive bowl of it and definitely get your money’s worth with it! One thing that surprised me, is that this isn’t a stand alone restaurant… it is in a small food-court setting on The Hill. There are other types of food(Thai, Indian) that share the same common area and you go up to the counter to order. The people at the Goody Monster counter are very nice and I would recommend it! Next time, I am trying the bulgogi plate!

i’m hoping you can trust my review since i grew up eating this exact food cooked by my korean mother for more than 30 years. by virtue of korean dna and daily consumption of this food i think i know a little bit about this cuisine. i think… super amazing food that is completely legit and cooked by a women nicer and more charming than my own mother. i come here for lunch often and will arrive early to ensure i am able to eat — goody monster can get busy with a constant stream of people looking for authentic korean food at a reasonable price close to your place of work/study. if you look past the asiaphiles trying to practice speaking their favorite asian language on the recent cohort of international students, you’ll see that many of them actually make their way over here to get a taste of home at goody monster. i will usually order the dae-ji-bul-go-gi(spicy pork) plate or soon-du-bu(spicy soft tofu). the pork plate comes with a heap of rice and side vegetables(freshly sliced cucumber and lettice). the pork is tender and marinated very well. this spicy pork dish here brings back fond memories of growing up. soon-du-bu is the perfect concoction of korean red pepper, soft tofu, and bits and pieces. it seems the bowl is neverending and filled to the brim with tasty goodness. i never leave hungry and i always leave with a smile on my face. i will start to branch out and try other menu items more frequently but it’s tough to leave my favorites unordered and uneaten. with a delicious shake, this is a lunch made in heaven. you can order other drinks with your meal or quench your thirst using the self-serve iced water conveniently placed on the counter. goody monster can always count on me as their customer.
