I’ve been a cannabis connoisseur for a decade now. I’ve lived in Amsterdam and studied Cannabis culture academically. The only time I’ve broken into gnarly hives after handling pot was with the flower from Native Roots. I shot them and email and a twitters asking what’s on the pot so I can avoid it and I’ve heard nothing back. I am disappoint. Not to mention the pot is obscenely overpriced.

I’ve been following this company since they started closing down my favorite independently-​owned shops all up and down I70. Native Roots might as well be the Walmart of weed. Their ethics are horrid and their product isn’t much better. It’s pretty clear their business model was built to mislead cannabis tourists into buying poor product for obnoxious prices. They feature dry, pre-​packaged bud, rude budtenders with holier-​than-​thou attitudes, and prices that make absolutely no sense. Try helping Hands Herbal (recreational and medicinal) or Trill (medicinal) — both on Pearl Street and within walking distance — for a much better experience.

Shop is clean and modern (though claustrophobic), staff have always been friendly and kind.
However, 60 $ for an 1⁄8 is an absolute rip-​off!!! I cannot believe this place can charge that much and stay in business. No one in Colorado should be paying more than 40 $ per 1⁄8 and even that’s a little high.

Hands down the best place to go. ALWAYS so friendly and knowledgeable about their products. Some prices are high but the product is worth every penny. Also, they always have amazing specials. JUST ASK!!! They will help you make sure you always make the best choice and never make you feel dumb. I always have the biggest smile on my face whenever i walk into the store; its like Cheers where everyone knows your name. I will never go anywhere else! Thank you for being so awesome!!!

The greeter and bud tender were really friendly. The selection was small and sad. The produce is pre-​weighed and packaged, which means you get dry, stale buds that are harsh to smoke. Upon questioning the bud tender, it sounds like there isn’t much consistency in strains and she wasn’t very knowledgable, in that she thought White Widow was a high CBD strain. It’s more of a novelty, to be able to buy bud downtown. Back to The Station I go!

This is my second time around visiting this store. It was just like the first time I was there. Amazingly informative staff that made me feel comfortable and gave me an experience I couldn’t forget. It is a beautiful store that again, made me feel comfortable and that it was OK to be buying pot. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a professional and classy way to buy marijuana. They had great specials and deals as well.

My experience with dispensaries was limited to Los Angeles and not going to them in Oregon. Like most medical/​recreational hybrids, the staff does a lot of individual consulting. I got some ginger drops because — abdominal pain, only to find they contained HFCS — which causes me abdominal pain. They were out of a lot of the infused fruit juices. The agave oils were delicious. The place was pretty. Definitely compares to my go to places in Los Angeles.

Being new to the cannabis culture I usually am so insecure about my lack of knowledge. I figured the best place to go when I’m in Colorado is a dispensary that they would have seen their fair share of newbies like me asking stupid questions and maybe acting a little nervous. I usually go months without smoking and then a friend will pass their joint or pipe to me and I’ll take way too many hits and get crazy stoned and usually end up being paranoid.
I told the bartender that I struggle with anxiety and he went through three different types that he would suggest be trying. He offered a harlequin that had a lower thc. I thought that would be my best bet. I bought a gram and he didn’t make me feel like I was bothering him or I was stupid. Which is more a thing I put on myself than anything else.
The bud itself was tasty and definitely some of the best I’ve had. After three hits I was extremely relaxed and aware of my surroundings in a calming way.
I felt like I can go back home and have more control since I have more knowledge of what works and what doesn’t.

Clearly a tourist trap where ripping off the gooey eyed, slightly terrified goon is the order of the day. These guys use classic yet cheap bait & switch advertising: offer July 4th specials for top shelf strains yet in reality they just have some low brow non-​seller at the advertised price while everything you want is outrageous. It’s the stuff of used car salesmen. Great for the short term but when word gets out about your lack of ethics you find yourself spending more time defending yourself than earning an honest dollar.
Clean up your act guys, this is lame

With a tough training schedule for a 7 day mountain bike race, my friend and I were looking for product that would keep our energy up and our minds distracted from the pain. The guys at Native Roots hooked us up with some great weed and edibles. Our favorite for smoking was the Bruce Banner (super fun and energizing) and the classic EdiPure gummy bears kept our heart rates down on a huge day of climbing. There are definitely some advantages to riding high, and if you’re at all interested in finding out for yourself, get over to Native Roots and they’ll hook a biker up.

Arrived at this store 10 min before closing. Person who let me in said «no worries we will take care of you today». Patiently waited for my turn and than started to shop with the help of a counter person. Literally seconds before I was ready to pay, the same person who was going to «take care of me» tells me that it is past closing time and that I could not buy anything that day.
I could come back in the morning or drive 40 miles to their other store which is open till midnight. They could have told me when i walked in that the purchase had to be made before 7 pm, that way I could have gone around the corner to another store. This store gets a big fail for lying to their customers.

$ 90 plus for 1000mg co2 oil are you kidding me??? Originally, I went because a couple friends told me that on wednesday’s they have a special where you can get 500 mg of co2 oil for $ 45 and a second 500mg for a penny. The deal made sense, because at Terrapin I was paying $ 45 for 1000mg co2 oil, they just so happened to be sold out for 2 weeks (see other review). So I went on a wednesday at 12PM, and the discount was only 15 lousy percent off of your total purchase, making for a grand total of around $ 85. I told them about the deal my friend got. They said they’ve never heard of it. I call bs. My friends absolutely insist they got this deal. Additionally they told me IF I was to come in before 11AM they would give me 50% off 1 purchase so that 1000 mg would only be $ 75. Still a major ripoff. Bottom line: It’s too overpriced even with the discounts, you’re better off going to ANY other place, but moreover I’m just upset that I get excluded from a better discount, that I know some other ppl are getting. Very disappointed my first time in your store.

They are very over priced for some crappie weed I could grow n the backyard. Went in with friends out here from New York. They had never experienced legalized marijuana. Not being a smoker, it was more to show them that there is a world of weed like there is in craft beer. Our bud tender Taryn was incredibly informative! She asked what they wanted in their high and gave recommendations as far as edibles and green as well. Native Roots is a very clean dispensary and gives you the confidence that you are getting a quality product (even though I’m not a consumer of the product). Taryn even told us that we needed to place the products in the trunk so we wouldn’t be at risk for a DUI. I would highly recommend Native Roots based on their customer service, knowledge and cleanliness.

Yes, it has nice dispensary feel and is beautiful on the inside. But wow, the amount of time it takes to get from one customer to the next is absolutely insane.
The budtenders are more worried about telling stupid stoner stories and flirting with any hot chick that comes in to even realize that there are 3 other people waiting to be helped. And with cement floors, it literally feels like a tunnel of sound in there.
Will never go back and will not recommend to anyone.

We were in Boulder and just happened to look on Unilocal for some place to buy some canibus legally since we were in Colorado. This place was awesome! Very professional and sleek inside. The staff was very friendly and knowledge. On the weekends they have a buy one get on for a penny deal on their 1 gram joints. We will definitely be back!
