Pete’s is the best retailer I have ever encountered. Liz, Renee, Chuck and Dean knock themselves out for the customer. I wanted a Kalkhoff bike but the only one they had in stock was committed to another customer and a change in U.S. distributors meant it would be months before they could get more. Rather than try to sell me a brand they had in stock, they permitted me to buy the bike I wanted from an out of state dealer, have it shipped to Pete’s and they assembled it for me! I mean, who does that! They made nothing on the sale and treated me like their most important customer. I love the bike. It has incredible range. I have ridden 49 miles in the first two days and have not used even half of the original battery charge.

I’m a very demanding customer, in that I spent months researching the state of the art in e-​bikes. Pete’s was harder to find than some of their competitors, but what a find it was! They have the best e-​bikes: Mostly mid-​drives (the most efficient), but also some of the more fun rear-​hub e-​bikes. None of the cheap junk, or flashy but badly built models you find elsewhere.
The staff is composed of experts who ride and service these special bikes every day. They are intelligent and informative, but very low-​pressure. At no point did I feel «pushed» to buy, but instead I was kindly invited to try as many bikes as I wanted, get a good feel for them, and every question was tirelessly answered, until I could make the best-​informed choice.
I purchased a spanish-​built E-​motion bike, which has been a ton of fun to ride, and is now my daily commute vehicle. It was well assembled and tuned just for me. After some spokes broke on the rear wheel, I got prompt and attentive service from Dean and the rest of the staff. Since I live an hour away, in Denver, Dean kindly drove down to pick up my bike, repair it in Boulder, then drove it back down to me the next day. By all measures, this is some of the best customer service I’ve experienced from any company.
