Goodyear Auto Service Centers

I used to be a loyal customer to Goodyear. USED TO! I took my car there for everything! Oil changes, brakes, and general maintenance. Until my muffler came away from the exhaust. Of course I went to my Goodyear store where they told me: I had to replace the whole exhaust from stem to stern at a price of $ 700 dollars and a days to get it delivered to the shop. So, on my way home I stopped at a muffler shop and they told me $ 70 to do a simple welding. So I called the Goodyear shop and was told they don’t weld? So, I should spend $ 630 because they don’t weld? Maybe just maybe the could have said just that instead of $ 700 estimate…

Came in for oil change and car drove horrible after leaving. They messed up my car. Do not go here

I’ve been taking my car here for over a year now for oil changes and maintenance. The staff is really friendly! And I feel like they’re trustworthy. They will tell me what things need replacing on my car (once they notice a belt was looking pretty old and after they did my oil change they told me about the belt and suggested that I have it replaced sometime soon — but didn’t pressure me to get it fixed that day — and they gave me a price quote on the work. It just so happened that before I started going to Goodyear, I took my car to Midas and they mentioned the aging belt as well. Their price quote for the same work was much higher… I ended up getting the belt replacement done at Goodyear about a month later). Another reason I feel they’re trustworthy; the last time I was in for an oil change they told me that my tires were due for replacement and they gave me a price quote. I asked if they felt I could wait until my next oil change — would my tires make it that long? They told me that they definitely need replacing soon and recommended I get the work done before my next scheduled oil change. Well, they were right! I was out of town the other week and my car started to shake really bad… had to take it to a shop that was 300 miles away from home (not a fun feeling!)…and the belt in my tire had slipped and I MOST DEFINITELY needed those new tires! .should have got them at Goodyear when they suggested it.
Also good things about them:
*they have a Goodyear credit card that you can get if you end up needing more work done on your car than you can afford and the payments are really low on it.
* they have a fairly nice waiting area with toys for children, coffee, tv, pop machine and a clean bathroom (extra points for the clean bathroom!!)
* go on a Monday –Thursday and the wait time isn’t bad at all for an oil change :)
