Logan Express

I have never had an issue with Logan Express until last night when I got off my flight ten minutes before midnight. There is supposed to be a Logan Express Braintree pickup at 12:15am and the bus never came. Myself as well as about 4 others had to wait in the airport until 1:25am for the bus to show up. It was freezing and being this late at night all you want to do is get home. I have heard others comment that this bus is either late or no shows for late arriving flights. Hopefully they get this figured out. Other than that I have had nothing but good experiences.

Super convenient. Very nice staff and bus drivers. Wish they had more than one window inside the building. Always takes forever to pay after getting off the bus because there’s so many other customers. Please get another window! Used to have s Dunkin donuts here, now it’s gone which is very unfortunate. The parking lot a little bigger and added more lighting which is nice. From my experience the plowing in the winter time is awful.

Logan Express is probably one of the best kept secrets in transportation in Boston and surrounding areas. I was traveling alone and I wanted to find the best method (quickest and least expensive) to get from Logan Airport to the Sheraton Boston. This is it!
Follow the signs to ground transportation and public transportation. The signs to Logan Express Buses appeared. I had never done this before, so I just followed the signs. When I arrived at the bus stop, the Back Bay bus was there. The driver was so courteous and helpful – I didn’t know how or when to pay! He told me that you have to pay by credit card because he cannot accept cash. He waited for me to find my credit card – so patient! He swiped my card and gave me a receipt! The cost was $ 5. I think a cab is around $ 40. He asked where I was going so he could drop me off at the nearest stop. The nearest stop is the Hynes Convention Center. I did tell him I was staying at the Sheraton Boston. When we drove by the Sheraton Boston, he apologized for not stopping, but said he must only stop at Logan Express Stops. The walk was only about 2 minutes to the Sheraton Boston which is right behind the Hynes Center. He made sure I knew the way! When I was going back to Logan Airport two days later I met another driver equally as kind and friendly! This driver helped non-​English speaking people, a very young woman, and me get off at the right terminals.
It’s service like this and just human kindness – plus the great price that makes Logan Express such a great experience!

This is one of the best deals when visiting Boston. It picks up at the airport and drops visitors to Boston (and other locations in the surrounding area) off at either Copley Square or the Convention Center in the Back Bay area, approximately every 20 minutes. They also pick up from Boston at those sites and drop off at the airport terminals. The ride is $ 5 each way, pay with credit card as cash is not accepted. Riders pay for their ticket on the bus unless they have an MBTA pass that allows them to ride free. The ride was fairly quick (20 minutes or so) and comfortable, the drivers were courteous and it was stress free.
The pick up sites at the airport were easy to find and each bus is marked with its destination.
The only downside, if could even be considered that, is that the buses aren’t always on time, as their commute time is dependent on traffic conditions. I thought I had just missed a bus and was about to walk away to pass the time inside the terminal when I thought better of it and decided to stay. Not 5 minutes later, my bus showed up.
Who needs a car when you have this option to get into Boston and your two feet or the T to get around?

Thank you for providing a safe and efficient ride to Braintree. Traffic and a closed tunnel did not effect service.

Convenient and easy to use. The service helped me to avoid the hassle of traffic and finding a place to park in Boston. I pulled in, parked, paid, and got on the bus. 30 minutes later the bus dropped me off right at the terminal.

A whole lot of planes leave and arrive at Logan which means a whole lot of people and a whole lot of cars and a whole lot of chaos. Certainly not a place you want to drive anywhere close to.
Fortunately there are companies that offer a place to safely park your car and will pick you up and dump you off right in front of the proper airline at Logan.
For people living south of Boston the location in Braintree is very convenient. It saves you the aggravation of driving through the city and the parking lot is only a few minutes off of I-​93. Easy in and easy out, very important when exhausted after a long flight.
The huge buses come and go every half hour and seem quite punctual but of course the crazy traffic in the area can always cause complications at times. The pick up spot at Logan is easy to find and get to.
Logan Express doesn’t warm up you car or clean off your windshield like some other companies at least claim to do, but they do have a huge parking lot, nice buses and courteous drivers. And they will get you to and from Logan and save you the aggregation of driving yourself.

I think this «Express service» is nothing but a complete discrimination towards people who live in other towns which are on the way to Logan. I have never seen a more stupid service. I don’t say this bus must stop at every city bus stop, no! But if they thought about their customers, they would make at least one stop in other towns this bus goes through! As an example, I live in Quincy MA, and I would use this bus, but the stop is located so inconveniently, it’s in Braintree, and there’s no public transportation to this place. At the same time, the «express» bus doesn’t make a single stop anywhere in Quincy although it’s on its way to Logan anyway!!! And what if I have no one who can drive me to Logan «express» terminal in Braintree? I’m even surprised the owners had some brain to make this terminal in Braintree, they should have made it somewhere much further from Boston, so that no one can use it at all! Nice planning! I won’t use this service, the T is much better (and much cheaper). And I don’t advise you to use it — only if you live somewhere close by, or you have friends who can drive you there.

Have never had any negative experiences and was taking this once a month at one point. Great to drop your stuff, get on the bus and go. Much faster than trying to park and getting to your terminal. Parking rates here are much better than the airport as well. Great concept and makes life much easier.

Convenient, affordable & quick way to get into Logan from the Quincy area. They don’t get 5 stars because I wish they ran a little later at night. I

Points for being easy to find at the airport, cheap, quick, and comfortable. Much better than lugging your stuff on the red line to Braintree.
Points deducted for being 15 minutes late or so to the B terminal. I had been up since 3am Pacific time, and it was 9pm and just wanted to get moving.
If you pay for a ticket beforehand, you’re good. God help you if you want to buy a ticket after the ride. A guy gets on the bus, takes your card, and then goes inside. He is SLOW and was awful to deal with. There were like six people in line, and it took FOREVER for him to return the cards and get a signature. Then two people came in to say that the card reader to let them leave wasn’t reading their tickets, and he left the people in line to go figure that out.
Then he’d try and do the next person’s credit card and another person would come in and complain about not being able to leave. Awful service.

We’ve come late to the game with this excellent local service but we are now converts.
Logan Express provides bus service from various towns around the greater Boston area and drops you off right at your specific airport terminal.
The closest Logan Express for us is in Braintree and we’re happy to have discovered this easy and comfortable way to get to the airport.
The buses (they are like Greyhound buses) leave every half hour, cost $ 11.00 each way and provide plenty of storage underneath for luggage which the driver both stows and retrieves for you. There is a huge parking lot where you can leave your car for a reasonable $ 7.00 a day.
While we’ve previously enjoyed getting to the airport by ferry, the boat does not take you directly to the terminal.
So while the boat ride is terrific, getting to the terminal is a pain.
Upon disembarking from the ferry, one has to hop on a shuttle bus that then makes the rounds to each terminal.
That means lugging your suitcase and gear off the boat, up a few steps onto a small shuttle with very little room to maneuver and then lugging everything off the bus when it arrives at your stop. My lugging and lifting days when traveling are over. We all deserve better than that.
Now we want as effortless as possible and Logan Express bus service provides it without having to go the airport limo route which is decidedly more money and not necessarily any more convenient.
Coming home is just as easy. Once you’ve landed you simply walk outside and there are Logan Express bus stops right near every airline’s exit. You pay for your parking when you get back to Logan Express station and hop in your very own car which has been patiently waiting for your return.
Unless someone is dropping us off and picking us up, this is the way we will get to the airport from now on.

Don’t use this service before 9am they are never on time and sometimes leave more then 5 minutes early.

This is the best alternative than driving to Logan, and I like that it arrives every ½ hour.
However, $ 11 per ride is a bit steep, don’t ya think?

This seems to be a relatively easy way to get to the airport. $ 12 one way, 7 dollars a day to park your car. Picks you up on the half hour from the airport. or somewhere around the posted time. There is even a great rest stop area by the parking lot with a dunkin donuts, vending machines and lots of space to stand around, indoors, if its raining or cold and you’re waiting for someone to pick you up.

Came back to a very very badly keyed vehicle. Needless to say this is your warning!!!

I’m a total convert. Gone are the days of the commuter rail to the silver line. Gone are the days of cajoling friends and family to drive my butt to Logan.
This place does it RIGHT. This place is right off 93 in Braintree, shuttles run every half hour (and every 15 minutes from 3 – 4), and it’s clean and efficient. Parking is easy and ample. Overall, I’m hugely impressed.
A round trip ticket is 22 bucks, and parking is 7 bucks a day. For a short term trip, you really can’t beat the ease, safety, and convenience of the Logan Express.

Great option to leave car in a safe lot while away on trips – buses run every ½ during peak hours. If frequent traveler, ask to buy a book of 10 tickets and save $ 25.

Are you deathly afraid of navigating the Braintree Split when entering off the exit next to the South Shore Plaza? Does that 100-​yard stretch of roadway scare the shit out of you when you have to dodge three lanes of traffic? Have you seen the accidents that happen there? But you’ve got to get yourself to Logan Airport? And you despise the T with every ounce of energy you have? Well, Logan Express is just for you.
Be forewarned, it takes a lot of planning on YOUR part to use Logan Express efficiently. Regardless of the time, you need to bank on at least an hour to use the bus service. «But, hey, it’s about a half hour from Braintree to Logan!» you say. The bus drops you off at each terminal, so if you’re flying out of Terminal E, you’re going to spend some time going from terminal to terminal. And that’s not including rush-​hour traffic.
Really, it’s the easiest way to get to the airport. YOU don’t have to worry about doing the driving, you don’t have to worry about dodging the cars in the airport terminal, and loading your luggage on and off the bus. They do it for you!
Avoid the hassle of getting to the airport and focus on how good you’ll look going through the full-​body scanners at Logan! Be sure to tip the driver! They are the hardest working guys around!

That Logan Airport in Boston is a crazy place. Add to that the chronic freeway work that is continuously on-​going along the turnpikes and the notoriously bad Boston traffic and you have the perfect business plan and recipe for the absolute need for Logan Express.
My relatives tried to get me to hop on it so they wouldn’t have to make the big sacrifice and pick me up at Logan but I was loathe to take the shuttle because I didn’t know if Braintree was the ghetto or not? But Braintree is a nice, safe suburb right off the freeway, past a castle masquerading as a hotel, and that’s where the big parking lot is for Logan Express and where all the buses come through.
Basically, you park and ride from that location. Yes– $ 12.00 is a little steep for a quickie ride but you cannot put a price on convenience and MAKING YOUR FLIGHT ON TIME! The whole bus was filled with TSA employees, pilots, and flight attendants when I rode it yesterday. I needed to deduct 1 Star due to surly and cranky bus drivers who railed against Las Vegas and California when I was on board. Get a personality, dudes!
The Logan Express provides non-​stop service and secured 24-​hour parking and is located off Route 37 on Forbes Road-​right across from the South Shore Plaza shopping center. You do pay to park but I am pretty sure if you work at the airport or for the airlines-​it is comped or maybe discounted. Parking costs $ 11.00 and round trip fares are $ 22.00 Kids under 12 ride free. Weekdays the shuttles run every half hour on the hour. They are very prompt and on-​time. The runs end at midnight and 11 pm on Saturdays so if you are coming in late, you might be out of luck. Otherwise, thanks to Massport for this great way to get outta town quick and painless!
