I’m a bit upset to read that Mimi Dragone is closed! I could have sworn that I saw one of their billboards recently on Route 8 North. It’s probably irrelevant now, but the one time that I almost bought a car at Mimi Dragone was pretty good. They had one of my dream cars, a 1995 Oldsmobile Cutlass convertible (very rare and came in a gorgeous emerald color) so I naturally called them up and went over to check it out. The salesman was very thorough and showed us the Carfax and let us bring the car up to our mechanic in Seymour. Unfortunately, there was a lot wrong with the Olds, so we opted not to buy it, even though the salesman offered to fix the car up for us. I didn’t hold that against the dealership, though, and would have gladly shopped for a car with them again.

Mimi Dragone is closed for good, December 17, 2014 the Connecticut Post News released a report that the owner was arrested for issuing bad checks and the reason his business shuttered was because of an employee. So this business is permanently closed the owner said «that’s it, I’m done» all cars in parking lot are also gone.

The clothing is very typical prim stuffy New England matriarch. I think even the Queen of England might find them a bit passé. I felt they were a step down from the Eileen Fisher look if you get my drift. You know if you like that sort of «well heck, I’ve given up look» this might be for you.
The staff follows suit. They are as tired as their clothing lines. I walked in, walked around, and left without nary an employee uttering but a sound to me. There was only one other customer in the store.
