Love this place. Been going weekly for many years. Went today to find they have been sold and it is closed :(

The food is decent. It’s quick and easy, but I’ve never been overly amazed by anything I have tried here.

A place I order from whenever I am too lazy to get food to far away. Never tried their pizza because I omly orser their pasta. You can literally ask for anything you want in a pasta and they can make for you. Comes with a roll too. Their meatballs are very tightly packed but pretty tasty, definitely fills you up. Tried their canjun alfredo sauce and isn’t anything special. They just add cajun spice in alfredo sauce. But overall, their pastas aren’t too bad.

I wouldn’t necessarily order a pizza or a sub here(especially the eggplant parm. It’s mushy and not so yummy), however the pasta-bilities are AMAZING. Personally I love their Cajun sauce. When you add peppers and onions it’s spicy and delicious! Their Alfredo is solid as well. The spicy thai, however, isn’t spicy or Thai– pass! Actually outside of the Alfredo, pesto and Cajun… Just stick to those, okay? They’re amazing. Their mozzarella sticks are the best I’ve ever had. Such a basic dish done phenomenally well. Their eggplant pesto bruchetta is yummy too. And how could I forget their macaroni and cheese?! It’s not a traditional take, but it’s delicious. If they served breadcrumbs on top it’d be… I can’t. It’d be too good possibly! Also, their breakfast is well done. I mean– it’s just good solid breakfast. Overall, this place is reasonably priced and so good that I will continue to order over and over and over. Just go with what’s good and stay clear of the mediocre!

I hadn’t updated this review as I had forgot, but Pic a Pasta had done me right after that order. They’ve been very good and steady in their ability to get the order right, their portion sizes are excellent, and their ingredients are great. I’m in the Bay Area now, so I haven’t had a chance to order from them in 2 years, but when I visit in August, I’ll be dropping by.

I can’t say I’m impressed. I ordered pasta and it came over cooked and gummy. The few veggies I had mixed in were also significantly overcooked and the lemon sauce was bland and uninteresting. So, not great. Here are the things I did like: good prices and good portions too. I like that you can create your own pasta dish. …although I doubt I’ll do it again.

We ordered here one night, when I had a serious comfort food craving! I was totally impressed. The prices are amazing, and the food is decent quality! They also have tons of choices for customizing your pasta, as well as sides, sandwiches, and salads! Our food arrived before the estimated time, and the guy brought it directly to my apartment, I didn’t even have to go downstairs which is a huge bonus! This definitely satisfied my pasta craving and I can definitely see it as a place we will order from on a Sunday to have plenty of leftovers! (Also– the little loaves of bread are great to slice up and use as bruschetta later, or dipping in olive oil! Just a tip to get more bang for your buck!

Price is unreal for the amount of food and the quality of it. Almost always grab a larch buffy chick pizza, which tastes amazing. Can’t go wrong with the chicken tenders either.

I have been enjoying Pic a Pasta for several years now! I love making my own dish with shells, pesto, and other mix-ins. I have also tried a few of the«Favorite Entrees» which were really good. I have tried the chicken Parm, broccoli and chicken penne, and the chicken tomato Alfredo. A large size easily makes 2 – 3 meals. A regular is generous, but it’s so worth just getting the large. I usually get garlic bread too, which is good. Every order of pasta comes with a fresh roll so you don’t really need any other sides, but it’s hard to resist!

Very well priced. At $ 4.70 for 3 eggs over easy and a bottle of juice, this is real value for money! And the guys & girls who work here are courteous too. I didn’t enjoy the pizza a lot, but they don’t call themselves Pic a Pizza for a reason. Anyways, I’m sure they make some dishes pretty well. So pick those and save some money!

Good breakfast sandwiches and love the blackened chicken Caesar salad. I have not yet tried the pizza here but gotten a few different pasta dishes and been happy. I just always go back to the blackened chicken Caesar, love it! They are inexpensive, quick and friendly!

This place is my go-to for quick take-out in the Oak Square area. These pasta dishes are huge(the large will last 2 – 3 meals, regular is perfect for 1 – 2), fresh and delicious. Chicken, broccoli, penne, cajun cream sauce = HEAVEN. Seriously that sauce… one of the best I’ve ever had.

The Hub and I have been here twice: once for breakfast(like 4 weeks ago?) and now for lunch. I will review each separately: 1– Breakfast It’s no different from any other breakfast joint– you get your choice of breakfast sandwiches or eggs any style with meat/toast My husband enjoyed his sausage, egg and cheese sandwich. I enjoyed my over easy eggs(I’m SO picky about the over-easiness). The English muffin came perfectly toasted and buttered. The woman who was working served us coffee and tea– she even«decorated» my tea with cream and sugar– perfect proportions! :) Not a bad place to go if you live in the Oak Sq. hood. 2. Lunch I had a «create your own» pasta salad dish, and the Hub had the cajun chicken penne. The pasta salad: I had it with gemelli, spinach, onions, olives, artichokes, provolone cheese and chicken with greek dressing. The pasta was cooked fine and all the ingredients are fresh. The dressing tasted SOUR– I mean, sour as in it should be thrown away soon. The taste reminds me of the smell of shredded mozzarella cheese if you leave it open, in the refrigerator for too long.(note the dish is STILL in front of me– it’s taking me forever to eat). Some parts of the pasta with the dressing taste delicious, other parts, I taste the sourness. Everything else about the dish was great. I mean, not eye gauging, heart stopping, flavorgasmic great, but for the price– i’d definitely order it again. With a different dressing though :) My husband’s dish was good. He said he was disappointed the cajun sauce was so soupy, but it was otherwise very tasty. He was also diappointed the chicken didn’t have cajun seasoning– he though tit was plain. He would have preferred the dish«to have a more complex spice profile»(he’s a robot– yes he is) — meaning, he would have liked the chicken to have been seasoned, and perhaps a less soupy sauce. I however, thought the chicken was good compared to other places that serve grilled chicken! Both pasta dishes came with a small loaf of bread. It looks unappetizing, ASIF it were store bought, but it was surprisingly GOOD. Next time we come I’m heating it up so it’s toasty. Definitely will go back and try more dishes, and I’ll report my feelings on this place in a few months. Other notes: the cashiers, etc are all really great. The seating area is relatively clean and I like that they have coke products. :)

A-MAZ-ING This place can put some North End restaurants to shame. My go-to is white wine sauce, chicken, and sun dried tomatoes. Huge portions for less than $ 10. One of the few meals that I will continue to eat way after I’ve decided I will explode if I have anymore food.

We ordered the blackened chicken caesar wrap, penne pasta with chicken and red sauce and the«meatball bruschetta». First of all, the order came to less than $ 15, awesome! The food was all really good, though my friend said the chicken in his pasta was a little bland. The blackened chicken in my salad was perfect though, with a bit of peppery spice. Definitely would recommend it!

Really affordable, and really fast(although I’ve only done pick-up, but it takes maybe 10 – 15 minutes). Good options for combining pasta, sauces, and toppings. The cajun cream sauce is particularly tasty. One minor complaint: the natural & chopped tomato sauces tend to puddle up in the dish. Sometimes it even makes a bit of a mess in the bag.

Good, basic pasta for a cheap price. If you are just hungry and don’t need a fancy-pants Italian dinner, this place will do the trick. You can get your fix for under $ 6 on most dishes. I’m not sure if their pastas are homemade, but they don’t taste any different from a box of supermarket brand pasta. But like I said, this isn’t the North End. Their sauces are pretty good, their variety is excellent and the service is pretty quick.
