No partner necessary. Competitive/​Social Dance Instruction. Pro-​Am for all levels of Ballroom and Latin Dancing is available. We have two Dance Studio locations in Newton MA and Brighton MA.

History

Established in 2011.

Professional Dance Instruction in Ballroom, Latin, Street Dance, Ballet, Zumba, Wedding Dance, and more. Competitive Ballroom, Latin, and Hip Hop. Salsa, Bachata, Swing, Social Ballroom dance.

Peter turned his love of Dance and passion for teaching into a business by opening Star Dance School in Newton in 2011. His success has enabled him to open a second location in Brighton in April of 2013.

Peter began his ballroom dance training right here in Massachusetts, and after only three years made the final of the American national championships.

Champion and finalist of numerous ballroom dance competitions,

Peter was in the top eight highest ranked couples in America. He

travelled and competed all throughout USA, Canada, and Europe, and trained

with such renowned coaches as Allan Tornsberg, Vibeke Toft, Shirley Ballas, and

Colin James.

Peter has been teaching ballroom dancing for children and adults for more than 12 years.

Katerina Stolyarenko is an amazing coach, Best Around The Area! She trains her students to become Champions which they have become Champions and still are Champions! How amazing is that! Great results! She did an amazing job with my Son (Domenic) he learned so much from her in a little time (7 weeks) Before that he took two months off from dance. He was not sure he wanted to dance anymore, He had a try out with her and Katerina became his coach. By far the best coach! She really gives 100 percent to her students and that means a lot to me as a mom! Her teaching skills are truly amazing! Can’t wait to see him 6 months from now! Looking forward for The BBCC in Sept. If you want to see your child improve as a dancer give Star Dance School a call! Schedule a lesson with Katerina! You will NOT be sorry, trust me on that! She Makes Champions! Honestly who does not want the best for there kids! What I also like the most about Star Dance and what makes them stand out from other studios in the surrounding area! Is that they can teach ANY style dance! From Bachata, Salsa, American Rhythm, American Smooth, Standard, International Latin and Hip Hop! Which other studios in the area only focus on International Latin and Standard for Pre teens and Teens which they CAN’T use socially. Only on the Competitive side which is not bad but I like Options! and Options is what Star Dance Has! Give them a CALL you will be very HAPPY! Also NO DRAMA! Oh How can I forget lots of FLOOR Space and that is huge in Dance! Try Star Dance School you will be impressed with what you see! Also Peter (The Owner) has another Studio in Newton, MA Same Floor Space! Check out my pictures below that is my son and he is so happy! First place because of Katerina! Star Dance School and Peter were so helpful in teaching me and my new wife get ready for our first dance at our wedding! Peter was very experienced and had so many ideas for us. What I really liked was that he let us choose what we felt comfortable with and he was so professional in guiding us through our routine. Thanks to him, we felt confidence in front of our audience, and had an awesome time practicing and performing our dance!

Dance class with Dakota here is the best! I always look forward to dance more than anything else in my week. Never taking dance anywhere else! Everyone here is so kind and accepting, and the teachers, especially Dakota, just want you to have fun when you dance. I would recommend Star Dance to anyone looking for a place to dance in Boston.

My daughter takes dance lessons here every week and she loves it. The teachers are so patient, kind, encouraging, and make it very fun for her. Special shout out to Dakota who is always extra wonderful with her. She looks forward to it every week! The classes are very reasonably priced and allow you to attend at your own schedule which is great. I haven’t taken any adult dance classes (yet) but if they are anything like the kids classes I am sure they are great. Completely fantastic!

My fiancé and I needed a little lesson in order to get ready for our wedding dance. By chance we found Peter and we are so fortunate to have found him! He was so helpful and patient and dealt with the fact that I couldn’t remember any moves to save my life. He came up with everything very quickly and then guided us through it very smoothly. He even took a video of us so that we’d be able to practice later. He was amazing and I highly recommend him for your wedding dance needs.
