I am very happy with the work Humboldt Tree Service did for my backyard. The owner Tim, came to my property and gave me an fair honest quote for what it would cost me to address everything in my neglected backyard. I shared my vision for my backyard and what I had budgeted for addressing the trees in my yard. Tim gave me the «must haves» in the first phase that would allow me to build out a deck while fitting my budget. As soon as I replenish my funds, I plan to give Tim a call to address the «nice to haves» and I’m confident the final product will be a dream come true.

Tim and his crew did a great job removing a giant 40+ foot tree from our yard. Tthey left both our yard and garage cleaner than they found it.

These guys came in a gave a very fair price for trimming our apple tree that was far too big and tall for its own good. They showed up on time and used safety gear (which not all tree companies use). They trimmed our tree exactly to my request even going back in to take out a little bit more. The clean up was great. You would never know they were ever here.
The owner Tim even gave us some suggestions on getting better apples from this very old tree.
I highly recommend them.

The owner of Humboldt Tree Service came to the house and gave me a very fair quote to Prune and Reduce the Crown on our large Acacia tree in the back yard. The knowledgable owner was then on site and in the tree working on the project with his friendly team. Our job was completed quickly and great care was taken to protect our property and that of the neighbors as well as cleaning up the entire area upon completion.
I will definitely call Tim back Whenever I need advice or more tree services.

We hired Humboldt Tree service through a recommendation of a competitor who couldn’t take care of our tree. We had Tim and his crew in our 100-​foot Monterey Pine for two days giving it much needed care and attention, taking out about 50% of the mass of the tree branches. What was a big, dark mess of tangled branches is now an attractive, light, well-​shaped feature in our back yard with sunlight dappling through the foliage. Tim and his crew were a pleasure to work with, and frankly fun to watch crawling through the treetop. Our yard was well protected and left clean and in good shape.
In short, Tim did what he told us he would, on the schedule he promised and for a bit less than quoted.

We hired Humboldt Tree Service based on a recommendation from someone I trust. I’ve heard of tree trimmers who hack up trees, without understanding the science of tree growth and health. Not so, with Tim Chang, the owner. Knowing that he’s a certified arborist, put me at ease. After carefully inspecting my overgrown trees (pear, cherry, lemon, and fig) and listening to him discuss his strategy for creating a future beautiful canopy I felt comfortable giving him the job. He arrived as scheduled with his crew and deftly trimmed as discussed. He even took away some extra foliage without charging us. HIs price was fair and his demeanor easy and friendly. Overall, a terrific job!

I used Humboldt Tree Service to service/​trim my large coastal redwood tree that lives in my backyard in San Francisco. Tim and his crew were friendly and professional. They showed up on time protected the plants and fixtures around the tree and did a great job of thinning out and pruning the tree. The estimate they offered me was a little more than some of the others but the peace of mind I got knowing that I was dealing with professionals was worth the cost.

Humboldt Tree Service trimmed our LARGE Oak tree in our back yard. Tim the owner, personally handled the job. His crew were very aware of potential hazards and did an excellent job in protecting our existing landscaping. They open up our view and allowed for more sunlight to filter into the backyard. They clean-​up everything and were extremely competitive in price. I got an professional and expedient service. I highly recommend them.
