If only there was a zero star or even better a negative star. Chris Nikel is the biggest crooks around. There service department is incompetent. After taking my truck in for routine service I started noticing some issues. After two weeks in there shop I get a call telling me it’s going to be 2000.00 and another 10 days. The problem was located in the exact spot the service was done 2014 and needs a new transmission harness REALLY? Customer service is horrible all contact over two week period was started from me zero communication. Not to mention the heater hose that was cracked after them crawling around on the engine I got to deal with that 1500 miles from home. Please take it from me avoid this place at all costs. Ram/​Dodge is investigating them currently and there BBB score is WELL below industry averages.

After having a string of bad experiences at this dealership, the owner called me and expressed how he was upset with the service I had got there. He had known about the break down with the series department and had moved his desk down there and had to let a few people go who were not living up to his expectations. He gave me his direct phone number and told me to call him if I ever felt they came up short again.

It was with great trepidation last February that I purchased a 2009 Mini Cooper from Chris Nickel. It was my first used car purchase and I really was hoping for something a few years newer. After looking for 8 months (while driving a 2001 suburban), I saw this car online and it checked off all my wish list except for being 2010 or newer. And the price was right and it had less than 26,000 miles. And I didn’t know when I’d see anything with so many of my requirements come around.
So I purchased it the next day. «What could someone have done to this car in 25K miles?» I said to myself. «It’s 5 years old so they obviously never drove it.»
Imagine my dismay just a few weeks later when the car began making a weird screeching noise whenever I shifted gears. The only way I could prevent it was to let out on the clutch extremely slowly like someone who hasn’t driven a manual transmission her entire life and is terrified to stall out. I had purchased a warranty when I bought the car, but guess what it didn’t cover? Pretty much anything to do with the clutch.
It turned out the previous owner had completely burned out the clutch. But Chris Nickel stood behind the car and completely replaced the clutch, saving me thousands of dollars. All I paid was the $ 100 deductible for my warranty. The car was so much easier to drive when I picked it up that I nearly stalled out in front of everyone in the service department.
So yeah… I think I can recommend this dealership and service department!
