I had a great experience with Advantage Movers. This was a large move from washer, dryer, dressers, beds, grill, patio furniture, snow blower and all was moved without incident. The time it took was the estimated time frame and I thought very efficient based on all that was being moved.
I would definitely recommend them to friends and family.

Before my wife and I moved our lives and all our belongings from Verona, New Jersey to Santa Fe New Mexico, I had a number of price estimates, including some from nationally known companies– some as high as $ 20,000. Phil Derasmo, the owner of Advantage Moving and Storage came to my home and gave me a price estimate that was a little over half as much. We had much of our belongings in a public storage unit so they picked that up the day before –but we still had a ton of stuff to move.
As planned, his crew of five arrived on time the next day and went to work wrapping the furniture and taking everything from our home, most all of which we’d packed ourselves, and proceeded to empty the house into their 4,000 cubic foot truck. His crew worked very hard to get it all done. We had a lot of stuff, including some heavy furniture.
Several days later, the truck, which did not have to make stops in other cities, came straight to Santa Fe and arrived on schedule where Advantage Moving had a crew to meet the truck and unloaded everything into our house and garage. The final bill was exactly as estimated and I’d say we saved between $ 5-​$ 8,000 from what the other national moving van lines had bid for the same job. I would recommend Advantage Moving. The owner Phil was friendly and straight forward. His crew boss who packed us up was very good, we saved a lot of $$$ and they arrived on time as promised.

Looks like we found the world’s worst moving company.
They quoted us for an 8 hour move, getting our family of four moved out of a very modest house, less than 1000 sqft. We were packed and ready to go.
First things first: when they said «five guys» they meant four guys who spent more time arguing with each other than doing work, and one driver sitting in the truck all day not doing any work.
They showed up an hour late, and spent the first two hours just emptying my garage.
All told they spent 15 (FIFTEEN) HOURS. Four of those hours were spent unloading the truck a grand total of 10 (TEN) FEET into an empty garage being used for storage.
They BROKE two of the lights and a wall switch in the basement, marred walls to the point where I had to repaint for the new owners, MOVED FURNITURE OUT A SECOND FLOOR WINDOW instead of going down the same stairway everything originally moved up on, acted in a generally unprofessional manner and displayed a complete lack of competence through the entire process.
These guys didn’t work as a team either. They were just a bunch of guys all doing their own thing.
All told, the move went SEVEN HOURS BEHIND SCHEDULE and more than $ 1,000 OVER BUDGET.
We had to move on short notice and these were the only movers that were available. Now I know why. This is a horrible moving company and I hope they go out of business as quickly as possible.

Do not go with these guys. Late, unprofessional, run the business like an extortion racket. Terrible service at top dollar pricing. The truck showed up 8 hours late because the radiator sprang a leak. When they weren’t done at 9pm just decided to leave with plenty of stuff still unpacked. constantly asked for more money. had a number of screaming arguments with the crew boss. Wish I could have somehow extricated myself out of this mess but hard to do once your stuff is on the truck. Save yourself the pain!
