Barcelona Bites

Went for my girlfriends daughters bday was the first but definitely not my last. The brunch menu was amazing ordered the honey tangy wings and eggs Benedict both was great. And the unlimited mimosa or sangria was an added bonus. The party city cups was hilarious.

I made reservations for 10 people. The package I reserved was a birthday package which included 3 liquors, 1 champagne. The night ended horribly. Staff threw away my champagne bottle and no one took responsibility for this. The security who became physically aggressive once the once I began to complain about my bottle being thrown away, claimed the bottle was left unattended. They all had conflicted stories and blamed us then said they are now closed and tried to force us to leave at 3am on a Friday night. The lounge does not close until4am so I refused to leave until that matter was solved. security threatened myself and my other female friends stating «we will get physical to remove you if we have to». I took photos of the security putting his hands on my other friend who was complaining with us.
Also, there was an agreement made by George the club promoter that if I paid for the package deal no one in party would be charged, yet the hostess charged a member of my party 20 dollars to get into the lounge. I have a statement from the same promoter George, stating he will resolve the issue by giving the person who was charged a free shot of alcohol which we did not ask for. Yet, the free shot never came. George refused to speak to me in person, the entire conversation happened through text which is one unprofessional and two inconvenient. The only time I saw this man George was when I come issue became escalated and physical.
A security who refused to give his name, said the bottle was «found» in the bathroom and poured the remaining of the bottle into two I ounce cups. After I refused to leave until I speak with a manager a different sequity guard then came and grabbed the two cups off of the table and said «now yall don’t get sh*t“and proceeded to pour the champagne down the drain and then told us to leave again.
I request either a refund for this horrible birthday or an apology from management for this horrible experience. I called the NYPD who suggested to contact the BBB

The place is nice. The staff very nice. The food on the other hand gave me and my boyfriend FOOD POISONING… Unlike him I ended up in the hospital.

I’ve been to many lounges & clubs and I must say I was rather disappointed when I arrived to this establishment. It was my first time going to Barcelona Bites since I’ve heard decent things about it through word of mouth. And since I grew up in the area I figured I would check it out and host my graduation party there with a few close friends and family. I had been in contact with the promoter for a week and a half. He was very prompt and attentive leading up to the date. However, when I arrived Friday evening I had to wait 30 mins for my bottle service. When I spoke with the promoter he told me I didn’t inform him That I wanted the bottle service upon my arrival. Like what!!! I paid a deposit a week before, many other places you receive your bottle service upon arrival. Next upsetting factor was my friends were being charged $ 20/​$ 30 at the door & the bar only accepted cash! This information should have been told to me ahead of time considering it was my first time there. When confronted about this to the promoter all he could do is say «yea they charge at the door after 12am …» I can say that I will not host or throw a party there again. The music is good, the decorum is nice, and the staff members are pleasant. But I guess I will stick with the restaurant aspect of it and keep it simple.

I really wanted to like this place. The location, the large bar, the sexy furniture… the place looks awesome. Two stars for the ambiance and the food. Unfortunately the bartender that Tuesday night was absolutely awful. I asked for a menu and I didn’t see him again for about a good 30 minutes. Karaōke was scheduled to start at 7pm but since the sound people weren’t there, we all had to wait about an hour and a half for it to get started. After finally getting the bartenders attention, I decided to buy my good friend a drink. I asked him for an apple martini and his response was «I’m sorry, we only have one glass for that drink.» Ummm… ok…I decided to get a different drink since there was only one glass for an apple martini that was apparently in use. I waited ten minutes for his attention again and asked «Can you make me a good Long Island Iced Tea for my friend?» He responded «no.» He clarified his answer after seeing the look in my eyes. He stated I can make you one… but you probably won’t like it. At this point, I realized that my business was not welcomed and hailed a cab home. The tip was automatically included which really sent me over the moon. Not sure what the problem was but I will NOT go back there again.

This review is for the nightlife only. I came here for a birthday party. Let’s just say it’s $ 20 for valet, $ 20 for admission for LADIES if you come after 12 even if you’re on the guest list. The upstairs where the party is located is super small. It never even got packed though. The men in there will grope you. Ugh. Not really sure why they charged so much for that type of venue. The music selection was okay if you’re into latin and hip hop. They played panda by desiigner or a rendition of panda 5 times throughout the night and drake’s one dance maybe 3. Like come on really?! That’s all you can come up with?! The Dj stops the music a lot and talks too damn much. If it wasn’t for the alcohol and my ladies, I wouldn’t have had a good time. I just think there are plenty of places that are just as average and/​or better that won’t charge you $ 20 for entrance. The only thing I liked about the place are the bouncers. They were sweet.

Not a good place they never open they times are deferent all the time came here twice and I had call yesterday they said they be open but surprise they close no food they said

Good food, fresh ingredients. Try the short rib tacos. Great service, but just okay drinks.

This is for the Nightlife aspect of it
1 star for friendly bottle girls and hookah girls
1 star for the bathroom attendant
Bouncers are testosterone injecting liars who will man handle women half their size (yes guy with the braids I’m talking about you).
Black label bottles are actually merged with other alcohol and watered down a bit. How do I know this? I’ve managed a Biergarten, a burger joint, and a casual fine dining restaurant in the past 3 years. I know my alcohol, my hospitality, and professionalism pretty well.
Save your money and just don’t come here. Plenty of other places where the DJ plays more than just hip hop all night, where the bouncers will treat you and your friends with respect, and where buying a table in VIP means they won’t put a party of 15 ppl right next to yours so that they end up taking a piece of your real estate.
Also, so long as you’re wearing a gold rope chain you can get in with anything you want. Maybe the food is good but judging by the reviews I doubt it.
Message to the owners: if you’re not going to do it right, don’t do it at all. Some people have respect for this industry, you clearly don’t. Put some respect on it.

What an amazing place with great food and music. I’m here today for Sunday brunch. The waitress Trish made me feel like family here and provided exceptional service. She is one of the reasons why I will continue to come and spend my Sunday’s here.

I’m typing this as I finally receive my appetizer that was ordered over 30 mins. I love uptown due to the ambience and vibe.
But if you’re waiting for food yet alone appetizer for over 30 mins. It’s pretty ridiculous.
I want to give this place a shot maybe I should come on a day where it’s not brunch and less busy

First time here! They have a strict rule of no hats which is fine. The wait was long and the food was flavorless. The ambiance was good but drinks are weak and the food is nothing to take about. Everyone food was cold on arrival. Let’s just say all 20 of us will never return. The hookah is weak! This establishment needs new management & HELP!

A friend of mine invited me to this place (Lydia), it really almost in secret spot you can say. It sad people don’t give this place a chance, cause when I went it was very cool crowd upstairs, I had the Mango Margarita and Tostones Sliders which were very good. The bartender that night was lorenzo? I could be wrong sorry, but regardless he was really good, poor thing was trying to take care of the whole bar himself he did a good job, maybe they can work at getting more bartenders to help out other then that nice place, downstairs area it was getting fired up Friday nights, a big plus is that the bathrooms are very clean.

A friend of mine invited me for brunch and I was really excited to try it… I have to say the food was pretty awesome .They need to improve the time and attention the wait staff shows patrons, food was entirely to slow. The female Djs were amazing, décor was incredible, great place to have brunch if you have patience.

Absolutely love the ambiance and staff. Very friendly and organized place. Very spacious location with two floors, two DJs, two bars and multiple bathrooms. If you are looking for amazing food, drinks, bottle service and music Barcelona Bites is definitely the place to visit.

I arrived at this venue for a reserved brunch on a Sunday afternoon. Unfortunately I was late but most of the people that were in the party were there already for at least half an hour for 3 pm reservation. The head waitstaff and/​or manager told the party upon arrival that they would not be seated until the entire party arrived. For such a small place this was odd, usually 50 to 75 percent of the party need be present. Anyhoo, it was 1 hour and a half until they decided to partially seat the party. At least 7 people were still standing. By 5:30 pm when I left several people from the party still had not been seated and no food had been served from the preset menu.
I was highly disappointed in the communication and service. This venue was in way over its head trying to have brunch, the jumping jumping club and sports bar feel all at the same time. I was not present when the food finally arrived. I was told it was underwhelming .
At the end of the day I almost said try it again during a less crazy time of the week. But once I heard the food wasn’t worth the wait, there was not any compensation for the time wasted and lack of communication, I definately would not recommend this establishment. Its a shame, the place has potential.

I really like this place! I been holding off on giving a review because I wanted to go on other days besides Fridays (been there 4x).
Pros:
— Bartender on Fridays rock!
— Still new enough so not too crowded, which I like
— Chilled atmosphere, great music, overall great vibe
Food: really cute presentation and tasty.
Crowd: good mix of ppl, all backgrounds.
Note: I typically sit at the bar so no comments on the waiters.

This area is getting worse and worse thanks to low-​end classless establishments like this.
Customer service should be top priority!
What a waste of space!

The food was amazing! the skirt steak was delicious & so were the tostones sliders! The drinks were great especially the mango margaritas. BUT the service SUCKED, we felt we were being rushed. yes it was a saturday but we were told the lounge would start at 12AM & we had our food served at 11. we asked for another round of drinks and by 1120 we got our bill and no drinks. we asked the server and he said he wasnt allowed to serve any drinks because the night lounge was starting but he was really rude about it. That was ackward cuz we were still eating. Overall the location and the food was good. they need an upgrade on the service.

Nice time until we smelled marijuana. Brought it up the «guards» attention, he responded by stating that it was hooka and that“he did not give a fu-​k”.
Please save your hard earned money.
